   Not Accurate. I have used this app in the past, perhaps several years ago and then stopped using it. I deleted it because I was using a wearable. Now this week of June ‘25 I found the app again and added it back for use. Two out of three sessions it didn’t track with my Apple Health app. It just seemed to stop running on its own. I’ll give it a chance to track properly for a few more sessions. Maybe it was just a fluke.

   Automatic start. The automatic start feature does not stop and start automatically. I don't always remember to turn it on and it's very frustrating when it doesn't record my steps. I've sent emails to tech-support, but they have not responded. Has anybody else had this problem, and how did you resolve it?

   ERROR !. I get this write message every time: “Import Data Problem In order to import the sessions you have to bring the lite version up to date first. Please go to App Store and update Footsteps Lite.” ZERO support from developer. I never had lite, and downloading it does not help. Background: I used another app which stored all pedometer data in the Apple HEALTH app. I “upgraded” to Footsteps, expecting those records to import so I would have a full, complete history. But no. Fail. The app just asks for the lite version and then chokes.

   New format. I DONT LIKE IT !! I want the old, easy to understand version and this one keeps stopping the count. I want the other version back.

   No customer support response. I have been using this app for almost two years. Recently, after the most recent update, an issue has cropped up where the step counter runs backwards when I start to walk after a pause, losing as many as 150 steps. That's tough. I emailed technical support to no avail. They have not replied at all to my request for help. There are many other apps out there, e.g., Walker, Argus, etc. Save your money. Will you please update your app? It frequently quits or functions erratically. I am using iOS 11.3, iPhone 6 +

    Rip off. Been using this app for couple years and no record just about anything any miles but now they got cheap now you're only limited to 3000 miles that'll be the last time I ever use this app there are plenty other apps that do the same thing I was a fan but now I'm not thank you and goodbye

    Does not record distance accurately. Used on a 2 mile marked course, app consistently was from .50 to 1.04 mile off on the distance.

    Less than satisfactory. I just upgraded to the full version yesterday when my free version only went up to 3000 steps. Needless to say my walk was not over yet. I upgraded to the full version and on today's walk I was averaging 3.8 mph because I know how long it takes me to get from one landmark to another and wants to pace I have to keep. Along the way in the "lock mode" the audible pace noise that sets the tempo would cut in and cut out. As I'm walking and looking at this app the MPH was anywhere from 1.9 - 3.9 mph. At the end of my walk which should have been 1.75 miles it told me I had only walked 1.23 miles at 1.9 mph avg. if I try to put my iPhone 5s in my pocket while walking it would stop altogether! I had to carry it in my hand the whole time during my walk and 8°F weather. It's still cut in and out but was a little better. Another feature I think it should have and does not would be the ability to calculate your distance based on the duration of the walk/run and mph you were walking/running as well as sensing if you are ascending or descending hills. If were going to pay for the full version we might as well get our moneys worth.

    Horrible. This app drives me nuts. The lousy ticking is annoying! I paid $1.99 for a miserable app. Giving it a 1-Star is a gift.

    This was a great little app. I used the free version and liked it. Then bought the paid version which also worked well until they started "upgrading" it. It is almost useless now. It is now so inaccurate I've had to stop using it. What a shame. Why can't they leave something that works alone???!!!

    So disappointed. In the beginning I loved this app. I paid the $1.99 fee to get the full version. After using it for two weeks it does not record my steps properly nor my time or anything.

    Doesn't work!. Counted accurately - I think - for a few days, then for some reason didn't count my 5,000 steps one day! Not worth buying!!

    Problem with OS 7.1.2. Great app. Until I upgraded to OS 7. Then step not counting or not counting right , sent message for help , did not receive any help or acknowledgement. I would not recommend purchase if using with OS 7

    Frustratingly inconsistent. Worked wonderfully first two days then the app lost all my records for day three. I thought might be user error -- hitting the reset by mistake or something. Two days later I had a similar problem. I had started testing a 2nd app to plan my route. When I finished 4.9 miles according to that app, Footsteps said I'd done just over 700 steps. Aaarrrgh.

    PRODUCT HAS BECOME TERRIBLE. When I bought the early edition app was easy to use and very reliable. I liked it. Repeated "improvements" have resulted in app to be very unreliable and very disappointing. I would say do not buy this app today.

    Not a Fan Anymore. It worked fine before the latest upgrade, but since the upgrade it will stop recording, if I receive a phone call even with the screen lock in place. They advised that it would run in the background, but it only works sporadically.

    Footsteps. This app used to be the best. Not anymore. It will not work on Lock mode. It won't register anything if it is Locked. Sometimes it stops recording even in walk mode without the lock on. I am VERY disappointed. I've used this app for many years and now it is very unreliable.

    App stop working. The updated version corrupted my old version. It just continued to record on the same entry. No new entires can be recorded. Please fix it. Loved my old app.

    Footsteps Pedometer. CRAPPY!!! Does not work the majority of time!!! I walk for a mile and it may show anywhere from 45 to 2000 steps!! Definite a "F"
