The new app. The new app is terrible it has ai graphics and a terrible layout forces you into portrait mode in every menu and you can no longer search for workouts within your schedule/calendar program this will be the last time I pay for a a subscription
- ★★★★★redesign broke the interface
Was great, now lame. Getting rid of the calendar feature was bad idea.

Bring back the previous version’s interface. I love this program. But I do not like the current interface. I like the intelligence of looking at the weekly programs in a one page calendar mode an actual visual tracker. This version has an overload of photos but lack the functionality of the previous version. Please bring back the previous version or at least give us the option.

No longer love. I loved the previous app. The new changes make it difficult to find my program schedule and to make any changes. I loved the old one but the new one not so much. I would never have updated if I had known how much has changed.

Major Regression. I used this on an iPad. While imperfect, the previous version was way nicer to use. This one seems locked portrait mode and doesn’t work well with the new iPad windowing options.

Not able to cancel subscription. Would love to say this was great, but I’m paying for a service I’m unable to log into, cancel, or contact anyone for assistance.

My IPad does not like this app!!. This is beyond frustrating for the money it cost. No it doesn’t fit the screen, it’s hard to project onto the TV and my iPad never wants to remember my password. I don’t have these issues with other apps on my iPad.

Recurring Charges Warning. I cancelled this app and the subscription in Apple, however the organization kept charging me. I had to call the bank to dispute the transaction.

Keeps shutting down. Longer workouts automatically shut down app when trying to open! Absolutely ridiculous for the price of the program and cannot even use all aspects!

Crash crash crash. App continues to crash, contacted support and they stop responding after they claim they cannot recreate the crashes. Sent them a video of the create and sell operating data from phone and app, then they ghosted me. Have them several days to even respond and it silent. Most times the app crashes instantly when opening, have to open a second time only to have it crash three or four times throughout the workout. Support is horrible. Really disappointed because I’ve enjoyed this app for a few years. I struggle to support business that has costumer support such as DDPY.

App is crashing. For the last six weeks, I have to open the app at least three times before I get to the dashboard. Then after picking a workout, it takes 3-5 minutes for it to connect to my Apple Watch. I also can’t cast to my TV, nor can I start the workout if I connect to my TV via HTML. (Yes, I have an adapter) I’m beyond frustrated as I waste too much time trying to get things to work together. Makes me not want to use the app!

App review not a program review. I love DDP Yoga. It helps me stay in shape and keeps me moving. That said, this app is horrible. It’s the worst app purchase I have made. I will not be renewing next year. I am up to date on the releases but it seems any time I do a custom workout, which I do a lot of, they seem to fail more than actually work. It’s extremely frustrating to get back from a great workout only to find no recorded data. I even bought I brand new heart rate monitor since my old one won’t sync with the app. What’s the point of having the fun score keeping and competition with other members when workout info isn't counted. This needs to be fixed. I have emailed but haven’t heard back. For $90 or more a year, something has to give. I’ll just stick to the dvds since I know they work lol.

Scam. Why sign up for something you haven’t even seen? You can’t even see the app at all unless you sign up. It will charge you no matter what you do once you put your info in. Just YouTube yoga work outs, don’t waste your time on apps like this that try to scam people looking for help. They should be ashamed

If you need to follow by instruction this isn’t for you. If you are not watching the video, you will probably do it wrong. You can’t put in headphones and follow along, because they say the wrong limb almost every time. I have to look and check to make sure I’m doing it right because they say left leg when i’m on my right and it keeps you from doing true yoga.

Disappointed. I have an iPhone and I couldn’t get the app to work. The app was too zoomed in. Tried adjusting the settings on my phone and nothing worked. I couldn’t get the settings feature on the app to work because it was too zoomed in and I couldn’t swipe over. The screen looked blank. Same goes for the website on my phone. The only thing that worked was a desktop computer. Not worth the price. I canceled subscription and deleted app.

Rating is for the APP, not for the DDP Yoga.. Ive downloaded the app twice now since signing up for free trial of DDPYoga yesterday. I can’t use the videos in the app because they “dont fit” on the screen (iphone 13 pro max). Ive checked any and all settings in my phone and nothing should be causing this. I click “settings” within the app and it just locks up completely, nothing loads at all and i have to close out. Disappointed Ive now lost two days of a 7 day trial period and not being able to use the app.

DDPY👍🏻 - APP 😖👎🏻. I love DDPY - I truly love it, but this app is hot trash. It is clunky, frustrating, and only works in landscape mode. I am only rating the app, not DDPY. The app doesn’t pull from Apple’s health suite for logging milestones and it doesn’t push with any regularity. Using the Apple Watch for heart rate monitoring requires major troubleshooting and a very specific process (no other apps that use heart rate monitor can be open on the watch). If this app was updated and had all the bugs fixed it would be amazing. It still references “Twitter” in October 2024 (Rebranded to “X” in July of 2023), and has the twitter logo in several different places. I love the DDPY program and truly believe in it. I wish this app better represented the program. Don’t let the app keep you from experiencing DDPY, but here’s hoping this review serves to encourage the DDPY tech development team to make some serious changes to this app.

Screen is magnified. There is nothing you can touch. It’s like I’m seeing 20 percent of the screen because it is so blown up. I guess I’ll have to cancel before I pay money

Don’t Be Fooled. I came to this app so full of hope but it ended up being another issue in my life. First off, sequencing in the basic videos is so rushed that you hurry through poses without the timing or ability to smoothly transition. This caused all sorts of injuries in my knees and hips the first time I tried to use the app. He also does holds of uneven times throughout the early videos, which can be brutal if you are coming at this in bad shape, like I was. Second, I returned to the app a year later, focused on staying 10-20 seconds ahead of the transitions so that I wouldn’t be rushed. I noticed that his weekly videos meant to inspire you hadn’t been updated in years. The weekly motivational videos feel dated. Third, determined to push through, and feeling a bit pressured in the community do every day, and DDP’s insistence that if you don’t push yourself than you are lazy and weak, I jumped in everyday, beginner workout, and around day 48 I started to feel horrible pain in my stomach and very sick. It turns out that I gave myself an umbilical hernia, an inoperable umbilical hernia. I am now forbidden by doctors to do any yoga, any core work, and my daily life is filled with pain. So here I am, dealing with two rare diseases that left me 150 pounds overweight, and now I have an umbilical hernia that cannot be operated on unless it ruptures, and then I’m 70-30 to surviving the surgery. Don’t let the people on this app bully you into pushing too hard, nor the people in the community, and don’t be fooled by the idea that DDP actually cares about everyone who uses the app.

App UX is horrible - overpriced. The app UX is clunky and not optimized for iPhone making difficult to read and navigate features. There is an emphasis to document your progress within the programming but you are unable to upload pictures or log body measurements within the app itself. Once you start a workout plan, the app does not enable the ability to reset the plan in the event of an unexpected break from the routine nor does it acknowledge a completed workout. The videos within the program are close to 8 years old and after spending $150 for the program, you are urged to purchase a heart rate monitor. The app does not acknowledge the heart rate monitor on Apple Watch.

New UI is horrible. I am writing this before doing my workout because I hate the new look. DDPY is the best workout in my opinion and I stand by everything they do, it is truly a life saver for me and my messed up back. But this new UI, I can’t even full screen my videos. The old ui everything was open and presented to you, it had character. This new UI looks like it was spat out by AI in 2 minutes. It looks bad. Please address this because it’s hard to look at.

First experience not so great.. I have confidence in this program, however, the app and some of the techniques seem somewhat flawed. Diamond Dallas speed through the workout to where I have to constantly pause it and go back to see how to do proper form. Also, the app will not connect to my TV for some reason through Apple AirPlay. Also support section in the app does not work.

Frustration. When I used the DDPY app before it worked great, I stopped using it and recently restarted my subscription and for the last few days have tried using the app and I can’t get it to work. I go to my program and schedule day click on the exercise and nothing shows up. I see barely on the top left corner a few sentences but when I click on that, nothing happens and I’m unable to start the workout.

Not a fan of the new revamp. I’m a big fan of ddpy and have been a big fan of the app. The original one anyway. They recently revamped the app and I have to say, not a fan. Their updates made it so you can’t play music during the workout. I reached out about it and they said they are working on it, but didn’t seem to have high hopes of fixing it. The new workout video setup is a adhd sensory nightmare. I the preferred original set up and being able to put the work in and not worry about how many calories I’ve burned or how much time was left on the clock. I was able to focus more on the feel of the workout and get a good pump in. Now it’s all up in my face and it makes it difficult to lock in and focus and that’s a frustrating thing to me. I get changing things up and trying to improve upon things. But it my opinion the app wasn’t broke to begin with. So why try to fix it. I love this app but gotta say this revamp is an overcrowded downgrade for me.

The program is amazing. I love the program but the new look on the app is not that great. Bring back the ability to have the videos full screen plus the main menu was easier to navigate before the most recent update.

New Layout Stinks. I understand the new layout is meant for easier one handed scrolling, which is file if you use a phone. I use an iPad and now I cannot navigate on it. It’s no longer full screen for those who use a tablet of some kind. I think it’s safe to assume a size able portion of the users do so, so I hope they fix it.

Great workouts, clunky app. I really like the workouts A LOT (there is a reason I’ve had the app for the amount of years I have). I also like how they continue to add more and more content to it and, ultimately, the most important item is the workout. What keeps this from being a 5-star for me is the app itself. One example is the app states it integrates with Apple / Apple Health, it still doesn’t (I’ve never NOT worn a heart rate monitor via my Apple Watch and, yet, the app will never recognize it). The biggest “pain” area for me is the app’s inability to consistently cast / stream to a smart TV. The only item on my phone that ever has an issue cast / streaming is ever DDP, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I (personally) hate looking at a small phone screen while working out. Nothing will make me abandon a workout faster and move on to something else. I asked about this years ago and was told it was a “known problem,” and they were hoping to build a smart TV supported app (which, years later isn’t done). On comparison, an older TV which does not support the Peloton app, so I have to stream from my phone each time, has never had the same issue. If the app could catch up with the workouts it would be 5-stars+.

LOVE DDP but….. I absolutely love these workouts, love Dallas and crew, but this app is sub par at best. Its really hard to connect my apple watch consistently, my workouts start only 1/2 the time without me having to restart my phone. If it was a well running app it would be amazing. So many workouts and tips at your finger tips keeps me motivated. App needs a lot of work!
