   It’s frustrating me. Why won’t it let me operate on it. Is it a must i become a paid user before I could use the app?

   “I want my $2”. So this app appears to do things. But so far all I have been able to do is connect an account. Start a free trial and now it’s in a death lock on a screen to immediately start a paid subscription (it’s only been 30 minutes in of the 7 day trial. ) I have yet to check an email, test any features, see if this is the solution that I have been searching for. And the thing that has me most annoyed is the “welcome “ to the app offered a year for just $99. Not bad. But to get past the “I want my $2” lock screen to actually use the app, it’s $148 for the year. I would like to point out I did attempt to reach out to support but it kept taking me back to the app that’s got a one track mind.

   Horrible. Can't chat with anyone, Doesn't let me get out of the paying option. I used it once for free and now it just keeps asking me to pay for it, Not everyone can buy things just to chat with others.

   Poor customer service. I tried the app, paid for a month, then decided the app wasn't for me. Contacted the Spike guys and asked them to delete my account and stop billing me. They sent a confirmation that my account was deleted and they would stop billing me. Then they billed me the following Month. How hard can it be to connect the dots. Just hope you don't have to work with their customer service!

   Something’s Off…. Installed via App Store but forced to enter credit card directly in-app to access free trial. No option to use Apple subscription flow.

   Used to be a Great App now there’s a paywall…. This was a great app and great concept initially, but now that they eliminated their basic service, you can’t do anything without subscribing to a monthly service. It’s all AI generated for no reason. It’s not that complicated to thread emails as a conversation; that’s all I used it for. You had one job. It also lacks the ability to delete all but the most recent email from a sender (like Outlook has had for free for decades now). My phone summarizes emails for free; I don’t need to pay for a BS AI client to do that either. Bottom line: save your time and money and use something else.

    Premium Only is a Great Way to Lose Your Users and Deter New Ones. Was my main email app for years because of its unique approach to emails, especially with the chat-based threads. Then it switched to Premium Only, making it just as bad as the low quality competitors. Profit is truly consuming even the best products out there.

    Free No More. Was a 5 star app! But now going full premium with no free option, the ride is over. Fun while it lasted. For now, I recommend either Edison or Spark if you like the chat-style interface. Those though in time will probably be free no more too. Just keep searching for whatever is free that's good for you. Better yet, with the advent of Replit, make your own and make it free to the masses.

    Very dissappointing customer service. My account was blocked for some unknown reason and nobody had the courtesy to sort the problem out or contact me. Very bad customer service. Despite various emails sent I get automated messages and nothing gets resolved. Very disappointing!!!

    Worst Customer Support Experience. The worst customer support experience. I was having trouble with the speed at which spike was processing my emails (it was too slow). I wrote to customer support, and they told me to delete the app and reinstall it. Upon reinstalling the app, it wanted me to resubscribe to spike. I sent spike customer support a screenshot of my receipt with all of the documentation and ID numbers. they were unable to locate my paid subscription. They offered me a 10% discount on a new subscription. I had just subscribed four months ago. I paid $120 for one year of spike. I was surprised that there wasn’t a restore button to restore my subscription package within spike. this is standard for most applications that are sold through the Apple App Store. I do not recommend spike because their customer service is horrible. And they don’t have the features and functionality to restore a subscription. If you are just using it for one email address, I suppose it would be OK. But if you were having spike check multiple email addresses, as I was because I bought the highest tiered package, I do not recommend this email program, it is too slow and they have the worst customer support.

    Hides calendar invites. This app just cost me so much money by literally hiding an email that I needed to have seen. Absolutely pathetic

    Extreme lag. I will never try this app again. Everything else on my phone works great, but trying to use this app is extremely laggy. It takes anywhere from 5-10 secs for the app to respond to any buttons that are pressed. Wish I could give it a lower rating.

    Fradulent company. Spike made over $100 in auto-renewals from me because of their hidden fine-print policies. Would not allow me to cancel. Customer service was extremely unhelpful. Just use the native Apple apps. This app isn’t worth it in the least.

    Very Disappointed. I was so excited to try Spike as an alternative to Outlook. It was easy to set up and I liked how it worked. My problems began when it failed to update my emails. They said they needed to reset my account and that should fix things. After resetting it worked for a day and then stopped updating. They then requested a video to show what going on. I have never had any problems of this veriety using any other app. Way to much effort for nothing.

    Sigh.. I truly loved this app, sincerely almost every single thing about it, except for a couple things that are a little bit slower and not as easily manageable/user friendly as other more up-to-date and wider known apps that are way ahead of the game and have been for quite a while, however up until two weeks ago, I would have raved about this app, but starting two weeks ago I don’t know what has happened if it’s my phone but I highly doubt it if it is, I’m sorry but I have to let be honest about my frustration. I haven’t been able to open an email in two friggin weeks. Literally. I try to open a “psychotically” important email as I’ve been anxiously waiting for it for days, only to wait, and wait, and wait…and wait..until I forget I’m waiting and some other crazy important project needs attending to enough to distract me until I’ve forgotten I’m waiting.. just to rush back to this email to greet the same busy signal that’s just taking a nap in this crucial email that involves a possible future partner or a subscription that was given to me as a business owner and there’s no other way to get this option free or discounted, somehow gloriously finding its way to me through my pile of expenses through the account in which I notated this email as my business email and there’s no going back now… I’m still waiting on the busy signal two weeks later, haven't opened up a single one out of 100 emails since I stopped using it after three or four instances in a row where there’s now no option to activate my accounts or return an email via this domain. Extremely disheartening and I’m so frustrated after investing so much time and exchanged contact information from a herd of people burned in the process alongside me. Looks like I’m just out of luck on this one, don’t download it if you don’t want to deal with the likelihood that this will also happen to you 👍 I have an iPhone 14 Pro, undamaged, not refurbished, system update is newly updated as of two or three days ago, and the Spike app is also up to date. Bummed.
