   Please fix lagging/freezing issues. I have relied on this app for many years. The past year or so I’ve barely been able to use it. Whenever I search, it freezes after a few characters and frequently crashes. I have tried reinstalling the app several times with no improvement. My iOS is fully upgraded and I don’t have this issue with ANY other app.

   FIX THE TEXT SIZE!!!!!!. The tiny text size makes this app a miserable experience. And it doesn’t support dynamic type, so you can’t even change it in your iPhone system settings. There are loads of complaints in the reviews for this and you refuse to do anything about it. I think I’m just going to delete the app, and stop supporting the WTA

   Totally Unusable - Crashes Every Single Time. App has crashed pretty much immediately every time I go to use it since last August. Updated. Got a new phone. Still not working. Bummer because it’s my fave for trails. Have to look at it on the desktop instead.

   Map doesn’t work. I loved this app when the map would load so you can see the location of each trail. Now the map doesn’t load all the way. Fix please!

   Really wished this worked cause WTA is great organization. I hate to give a WTA app such a poor rating because the organization is good. But the app is almost unusable. It takes FOREVER to load on a good day. On a bad day you have to repeatedly log in. You can’t submit trail reports on the app. You have to do it on the computer. Saving to your backpack for offline access almost never works because when you don’t have phone service it takes EVEN longer to load. I don’t want to stand at a trailhead for 5 minutes waiting for an app to load when I’m going to use my Garmin GPS tracker anyway. Their website works fine. Would be great if they would do some updates to the app

   Map no longer loads. This app was great until the map stopped loading, unfortunately that makes it about useless! Please update!

   No Offline Access. Supposed to be able to access trails and 5 most recent reports offline if they are in your “backpack.” When to the Alpine Lakes Wilderness and tried to use it and nothing was available.

   Email spam, horrible app. This app required me to creat an account to just get into the app in order to try and use it. I NEVER gave you permission for them to send me anything. I’m receiving spam from them. I can’t unsubscribe on any search engine via mobile device or desktop/laptop because the wta.org site is insecure. Do not download this app unless you want email spam. The app just shows pictures and reviews of a hike. Nothing you can’t find on a google search. It’s horrible all around. If this isn’t resolved immediately, I’m reporting your org to the BBB.

   Frustrating!!!. This was the third and final time that I will try to write a review with photos. This app is all or nothing with photo permissions - you either deny it (default) or give it full time read and write permissions (bad). Developer did not bother implementing permission requests, so if you’re done writing a lengthy review and try to upload a photo, it’ll tell you to go to Privacy to allow it. When you do that now, it kills the app and reloads it, blowing away your draft review. Stupid

    Great website- terrible app. As someone who uses this website religiously I'm so unbelievably frustrated with this app. I cannot even open the app for 5 seconds without it immediately crashing, rendering it completely useless. I have deleted the app and redownloaded it multiple times, I'm up to date on all the updates and using a brand new iPhone SE. I cannot believe I'm the only user having this issue??

I'd like to use the redesigned app. The last one was truly awful, let's just be honest ;) This new version looks great and I would use it literally all the time, but every single time I do it crashes. No matter what I try. Pleeeeease fix this - I am probably one of the most frequent WTA users around!

    Wish I could rate higher. I used to love this app. Now it just crashes before I can search for anything. I'm lucky I can even get logged in! Once I open the search function, the app closes itself. I can't do anything with it. (iPhone/iOS 18.5)

    Trip reports sync issue. This has been an issue for over a year now. Why don’t trip reports submitted via app sync and post? We are probably missing a ton of trip reports due to this glitch. Please fix this issue!

    Crashes EVERY TIME. As of 3/27/21: This app (STILL) crashes. Can hardly get to the home screen before it crashes, every time. The recent update (3/10 or 3/11) was bunk.

    Needs update. I've used this app for a long time, but for the last few months it barely stays open for five seconds before it crashes. I cant use the map or read hikes from my backpack, the best two features. Please update so it is usable again.

    I’d rather use the website. If I had to give WTA itself a rating, it would be 5+ stars. The app, now that’s a whole ‘nother story. I love WTA and use their website often. I thought I’d download the app to access my backpack more efficiently and be able to read hike descriptions off line. Searching for and saving hikes is great but no different than the website. My biggest complaint is writing trip reports. The first one I uploaded worked well. The last two I’ve tried, never upload. It constantly says syncing but never syncs. I’m talking about letting it sync overnight and coming back to it still saying syncing. Also, I often have problems with logging in. It takes so long to get me logged into the app, I guess it times out and has me resign in. I have my info saved to make logging in quicker but it doesn’t help. Overall, I love WTA and I would recommend this app if you just want to search for and save hikes. If you want to upload trip reports, it’s best to do that from the website. Because I can access all the same info and SUCCESSFULLY submit trip reports from their awesome site, I’d rather just use that.

    Maps not working. Opened this app for the first time in awhile and the map view doesn’t even work 🙄 guess I’ll go back to using AllTrails as usual at least it works.

    Trip Report Syncing Issues. I too have had major problems with trip reports submitted via the app not syncing. I’ve had to log onto desktop to type new ones out & submit it that way, which is not at all helpful.

    Good with annoying bugs. Good: I’m addicted to it, read it many times a day. Bugs: Impossible to edit report; no paragraph breaks, only one paragraph no matter how big it is; unable to add text description to a photo.

    Nice start. Needs an overhaul. First, I'm happy there is an app whatsoever. Great start! Second, I had hoped to use this app while mobile, remotely connecting me to my saved hikes, reviews, etc. There is no option to connect to your user account. Third, the advanced search criteria should be expanded. How about a difficulty level option? How about searching your favorite trails? Also, how about filtering results by location? Often when searching for hikes "near me" I receive results hours away. Fourth, the trail info should link to a mobile version of the web trail page. The info available is greatly reduced on this platform. App users should also be able to live update/comment on conditions. Making it an on-site effective tool for the community. Fifth, check out the Eddie Bauer app. This tool can use your "available time" to help you plan options that are viable within location and time constraints on any given day. This would be a great feature. Sixth, interactive trail maps would be amazing. Visual guides for trails where you GPS ping can roughly follow your progress along the path(s). Finally, the volume of results on the hike map is far, far lower than the array of results received online. Overall, this app would be helpful to someone who has never or hardly ever hiked in WA. You'll find some sort of trail that you can handle. If you're looking to use this tool to improve your regular or frequent hiking routines, it is not quite there yet. Hopefully soon. Right WTA??

    A Bit Pointless. I downloaded the app in hopes of using it in conjunction with the website. However, favorites saved through the web page do not transfer to the app. The search functionality is fairly weak, and you can’t view any bookmarks if the phone doesn’t have an internet connection. When I’m away from civilization the app is useless. The actual setup and UI are great, but it seems basic features were not included which causes me to give such a low rating.

    Good Start. While I am stoked that there is actually a WTA app now, there's a couple things that need help. First, having the ability to search for a specific trail and not just the trails close to me would be awesome. Second, more info on the trails themselves would help. This app is good for basic info to start with.

    Very Hard to Read!. WTA is an excellent organization, and the information that they have available to us is second to none. My problem with this app is the use of a very light gray font on an equally pale background, which makes it extremely difficult to read for anybody who’s in the slightest amount of sun. Also, none of the text can be resized or zoomed in on, so anybody who would otherwise need reading glasses or who are in harsh light conditions would be out of luck. Thankfully, all of the same information is available on the web in a readable font on webpages that you can zoom in and out of for better look at certain pieces of text. BUT, once I downloaded the app, my phone would no longer allow me to look at the webpage itself, automatically redirecting me to the app, where nothing is legible. So unfortunately, I had to delete the app in order to be able to look up trail information. Which I don’t think is the point.
