   The most miserable company. In my opinion, the company’s main goal is to get your credit card information. After that, I experienced repeated issues with their customer service that made the entire experience extremely frustrating. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend doing business with this company. It was by far one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had.

   Fraudulent GC stole $47k. This app does not vet contractors. A fraudster without a license stole $47k from me after finishing half the project, not to code, and then bailing. Do not use contractors on Houzz. Houzz offered me no help when I presented this problem to them.

   👎. needed to sketch out a small project and this app seemed good for inspo and sketching a layout. had i known i was immediately going to have my inbox spammed daily i would have passed. horrible. deleted account and uninstalled.

   Disappointed. Not what it says. I downloaded it and can’t do anything with it except find contractors. Not a home design AI app at all.

   Does Not Work for ipad. Does not work with ipad. Tried to answer all the questions to get started and neither horizonal or vertical views work. I was able to get through using vertical view (which I loathe), but then it would not let me see the options or pull down the next button which I could only see half of. This is the number one app? I will uninstall and find something else.

    Total Scam. Please, DO NOT waste a cent of your dime with this company. I have never experienced worse customer service in my life. The app is a joke. It’s useless. They just want to get you into a subscription model that’s impossible to properly cancel on time and then refuse to refund you. Save your time and money. I have to assume most of these reviews are fake. Just save yourself the headache.

    Hasn’t loaded for months. One of my favorite apps has become more and more unusable over the past year. I’ve finally given up and deleted it. Lost all my inspiration galleries. So disappointed. Maybe break things into multiple apps, if there are too many demands conflicting with each other. Do something, ffs. Not loading is a fatal mistake.

    Privacy Leak. I’ve been getting harassed by different contractors every week since hiring a professional from Houzz to do my remodeling two years ago. Houzz share your information online and kept them for years in the name of “providing contractor information for the work”. I hate all these cold calling mails and I think it is unethical how much houzz share my information to contractor. They know my address, my name, and my phone number, and different contractors keep calling me. Not to mentioned the contractor and his work i hired 2 years ago from houzz provided horrible service. Overcharge, bad quality work that is showing lots of workmanship defects after 2 years. Very disassisfied with the service and the app. My only request now is to delete my account and stop sharing my private information! I just want these nightmares to stop.

    Terrible customer service. Suggest being wary to order from them. Ordered $3000 worth of items from them two weeks ago. Still hasn't arrived. It has surpassed their shipping timeframe. Offer no cancellation. No compensation and cannot even tell me when it will arrive. This has now pushed my project back over a week. They said if I want a refund I will have to pay for shipping... even though nothing has left warehouse. Would go with Home Depot or wayfair if you like ordering online.

    Think twice before purchasing. We initially signed up for Houzz to use for our real estate design business. The product is not user friendly and cannot print documents for clients easily. For 3 months we found ourselves not using the product and paying $200 a month for a service we don’t use we decided to cancel. To our surprise if we didn’t cancel within the first 30 days you are forced into a full year subscription of $200 a month. I contacted customer service to see if they can cancel as we are early into the product and since we will not be using the product paying $200 for a full year is not feasible. To my surprise the rep (Jose) assisting me in canceling could care less about the customer experience and had a take it or leave it attitude. Shows that they deal with this issue a lot and customers really don’t have an option to cancel.

    Difficult to cancel and deceptive. They deceptively lock you into a 12 month auto-renew contract. Do not use Houzz there are much better options out there.

    Consistent bug. For me to write a review is rare. There is a bug connecting from a pro’s page to their project work that stalls on 70% of the pro pages. I’m interested in seeing the project costs, which I would presume most consumers are also targeting. I thought this would have been resolved in the last fix, but I’m still lingering on this app for a solution. Will have to see what else is out there.

    Don’t give them a good email. They bombard you with emails immediately. If you unsubscribe from that email it doesn’t unsubscribe you from all emails, they just keep coming. Trying to unsubscribe from all of the email “lists” it takes you to their webpage but of course you aren’t logged in because you downloaded the app. You have to open the app dog through the settings and unsubscribe from all. How about opt in or have an unsubscribe from all in the email just like every other legit app. The worst.

    Another reminder that only monetary merit & marketing motivate “Editor’s Choice” award.. tldr: editors award is 100% pure marketing bullflop. This is among the worst design apps bc it isn't even really one of them. Just a catalog of marked up stuff easily available for way less elsewhere. Lame. Behold, the Information Age version of selling divine indulgence in the Dark Ages. Back then, in return for a posthumous donation, the Holy Church could ensure any departed soul’s access to heaven, no matter how unqualified it otherwise was. Today, in exchange for integral marketing merit like developing functions to intrinsically facilitate accessory features integration; apps that operate only on the latest iPhone, and any achievement that’s plain old proven lucrative, the almighty AppStore Editors confer special recognition upon favored apps. Hence, by simply executing a successful idiot tax scheme, and passing tribute along to Apple, any glorified glossy catalog can not only persist in pure pretense when promoting itself, but also see such cosigned by prominently placed praise in a glowing description advertising it as an excellent interior design app. Aside from religious hypocrisy, the big problem with selling indulgences for the deceased was, of course, the free pass on wicked behavior it entailed for living, sufficiently wealthy people. With assured lack of divine consequences, ethics becomes optimal. Same goes for today. Apple rewards developers for just two reasons: potential marketing or monetary merit. This app uses canned responses assigned by algorithm for review responses, yet still only does so monthly- deploying useless replies to the last 30ish days of reviews on one day; with zero human interest/oversight applied (see auto replies thanking gibberish review content) The same developer who has gutted a once middling app down to pure middleman markup scheme. They charge outrageous fees to suppliers for the privilege of listing on a low grade totally unknown generic forum with no support or benefit, charge them again if a sale somehow occurs. But most items shown are scraped from other online marketplaces. After your a paid order, the middleman buys the item, shipping it to their address, then ships it to you. Takes much longer, costs far more and item may be out of stock, in which case the middleman will string you along with excuses until they can buy it cheaply enough to profit. Wouldn’t people just put a slight effort into shopping around and find the item elsewhere for less? Only a truly lazy fool would fall for this, right? Yes, yet fools are abundant in a worldwide market. Countless schemes feed from the infinite supply of moneyed dolts; luring the careless, naive, and dumb enough to offer them money. Sadly, traditional market forces cannot correct this. Ultimately, only the industry’s titans, like Apple, currently have any ability to enforce ethical e-commerce practices. Simple steps like a halfway credible review system, and purging the notoriously defunct, long abandoned entries would be incredibly valuable. Yet it’s precisely the failure to do such simple things that reveals the real problem. It’s so clear and ubiquitous that it seems cliched to even say, but the aforementioned titans don’t want to sanction behavior that would never be acceptable in traditional business practices, because the wild west might makes right environment is extremely profitable. Why standardize policy enforcement if doing so would decimate earnings? And anyone simple enough to fall for such blatant ploys would set their money on fire somewhere else if not here, so why not get a piece of the action? And with absolutely no risk of negative consequences, naturally that’s what they do. This, then, is the question I’ll end with, for the at least one person who I choose to believe will eventually read all this, and comprehend it: Do basic ethical standards long applied to traditional business, particularly integrity, have inherent value, or any potential application in e-commerce?

    Use to love it.. Got a new iPad and can no longer see the photos. I deleted the app and tried again, same thing. Tried contacting the company and was sent to a chat bot that just kept saying “Sorry, I don’t understand”. All my pictures that I saved to help with my remodel are right there but they won’t open up. I am sure it is some simple switch but can’t get anyone to hel

    Frustrated! Resigning in. I love the app, but I was trying to connect my phone Houzz with my iPad and it says my password doesn’t work. Then when trying to reset the password…Ha! That’s a joke. You don’t send a password reset you just send another sign in attempt. Frustrating!!!!😡

    Holy emails!. If you want your inbox filled with nonsense emails... I downloaded the app and erased it right away. Within 24 hours had about 7 emails from these people. Unsubscribed and the emails just keep coming.

    Went from ideas to selling. This app used to be a collection of awesome remodels, builds, and spaces. You could find awesome ideas and spaces. Now it’s a pushy catalog that only cares about selling overpriced items and contractors.
