   Doesn’t work and you steal money. This app was not working g I did not sign up for the yearly subscription and you pulled money out of my account causing an overdraft. So now I have a year of your ‘services’ , no account because I deleted it and no response from your customer service about refunding my money. I am a single mother of a minor child who has a chronic illness and we live on a very fixed income….I want my money back and you need to do it NOW! Never in my life have I ever dealt with such a horrible experience!

   PREVIOUS TITLE - forever one of my favorite apps. UPDATE: i suppose all good things must come to an end… it is now very distinctly a “freemium” app, with a cost that increases with the number of journals you have—since i raved so much about the app, i had tons of journals, and the unlimited tier is more than i can afford. none of my friends or family or coworkers are willing to pay that much either, so unfortunately we no longer use the app. i’d give it zero stars if i could. i’ve tried a LOT of journaling apps… probably 97% of the free ones 😅 this is by far THE best one, for so many reasons. i love the concept of a shared journal—i had been keeping a shared note with my friend, but it wasn’t really as efficient as i thought it would be. my mom and i used to have this tiny mailbox that we would leave notes in for each other, and this is exactly that. now that we no longer live together, this is perfect. it’s simple to use, even she can figure it out 😂 it’s beautifully designed and works perfectly. i honestly can’t believe how lovely it is, and it doesn’t even have any ads! there’s no “catch,” this isn’t one of those “freemium” apps that ultimately require a purchase to be any good. that said, now that i have had the privilege of experiencing the app, i’m actually more willing to pay a little to help support them than if i had been forced to do it in order to fully enjoy the app’s features. sato, the developer, is so incredibly nice and uses feedback to immediately improve the app. i love that i’m able to text him for any (app-related) support needed; i work all day, and texting is SO much more convenient than trying to navigate an online form or finding the time for a phone call. overall, i love how waffle allows me to stay in the loop about my friends’ and family’s lives. i work crazy hours and i don’t want to wake people up when i get home at 3 in the morning, but i love to read about their day and the little things they couldn’t share while i was working, or give my thoughts on something when they ask for advice. i also like to share a funny story from work or leave a picture of my cat 😁 it’s really nice that there’s no pressure to write out long entries cataloging every detail of the day; you can interact with it when you have the time and energy, instead of feeling obligated to answer a text right away. and for the days when you want to reach out but just don’t know what to talk about, there is even a list of prompts to choose from!!! this is genuinely one of the best apps i’ve ever had and will stay on my phone forever. thank you sato! 🧇

   Careful before they take your $$$. Actually a decent app but not for the price and definitely not after how they go about the 7 day free trial…account charged $50 on day 6. I’ll take partial blame as I wouldn’t have even signed up had I paid more attention as I usually skip free trials that auto charge. But, I could have unsubscribed still on day 6 but they charged before the time was up?

   Buggy. So I went through the process of creating a journal and subscribing and sending a link to the other members of my family, but then the link didn't work and my login didn't work either. Frustrating.

   Freezes during signup and you lose everything.. I thought this would be great for me and my daughter. I signed up. Did the free trial. Created a journal. Sent her the code. Went to enter a password to create account and it froze. Had to hard shut down the app and start again from the beginning. Did it all again, sent her a new code, and the thing crashed again when I tapped in the password field. I deleted the app and cancelled the subscription. This is basic user testing and regression testing that failed and made me not trust their app. Ask for the info upfront so all that progress isn’t lost or fix your flow.

   Underwhelmed. I really thought this would be something at least appearing to herniate of deeper conversation/emotions/memories/growth anything at all but it’s just basic questions reframed to day, week, month timelines and a smattering of “what was the best/worst of your past from a certain topic you want to share” really? We haven’t gotten past that level yet? Do you even know each other if you haven’t answered those basic questions? The whole point is to offer another perspective into each other as individuals and how you come together… maybe this is better suited to people who need help just asking the basic getting to know you questions but if you’ve been in a relationship with anyone for a while and had all of the talks you normally would, this isn’t going to help you at all.

    Couldn't get it to work.. I downloaded the app and signed up for the free trial. I filled out all the information and created a journal three different times and every single time it froze up and when I went back in, I had to start over from the beginning. So I canceled the freight trial. It's not worth my time.

    Doesn’t work!. I was very excited to use this app with my 9 year old but it doesn’t work at the most basic level! I set up the journal and then sent the invite for her to join and they send an alpha code for her to enter to join me and the code didn’t work. I tried over and over and nothing works. So maybe the app is awesome. I don’t know because it’s unusable at its most basic level. Very frustrating. We were excited to use this app together!

    Deceiving app. I was so excited about this app but it makes you create a journal and then says it’s a 7 day free trial but won’t tell you how much the subscription is without selecting that. I want to know upfront what the cost is. Very sneaky. You get people to click the 7 day trial and then bank on them not cancelling so you can bill every month. Transparency is so important in today’s world.

    Can’t access journal. I want to love this, and if I can get support I will come back and change my rating. But 3 times I have gone through all the steps to set up a journal for my daughter and I to share, and the code never works and be the of us can access the journal. I can’t find contact information for anyone to ask for help. Hopefully someone reaches out through here, but if it I will be cancelling this before my trial ends.

    Poor customer service and misrepresentation. During my trial, I was unable to share my journal with my daughter because she never received the code to use to set up her app and when I tried to access Help, I never received an answer back and then was automatically subscribed for a full year fact that I don’t want the app because it’s not serving the purpose it was intended for which was to share a journal with my daughter

    ?. I joined and it let me journal. Then it logged me out, so I lost all the progress. The notification system sucks. Once I logged back in and redid the setup it won’t let me journal. It won’t let me do anything

    Subscription messed up. The app is OK, but the support is terrible, I emailed them on Tuesday. It is now Sunday and no one has responded, not even an auto responder. My subscription is paid for, but is not reflecting in the app, tried all the standard troubleshooting steps of removing and adding, uninstalling and reinstalling, pretty sure it’s something on their back end that they have to fix but at this point, I might cancel before it renews
