Snapping. ---------------Good--------------- I litterally spent 30 minutes making my graph and it was amazing! 10/10 would do again. ---------------VERY BAD----------- Then I spent 9 hours trying to position everything better. When you move blocks, the motion is jittery and it snaps to the most random places.

  2. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Apple Pencil Support Is Garbage. In trying to use my Apple Pencil for text input it caused nodes to drag, to disappear, or didn’t actually write. I’m going to try to find an alternative.

  3. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

File will not open. I like this program it helps me see things in a better light and this program is not too complicated like some others I’ve tried. But I was working on a map for a few days but I can’t seem to get the map I was making to open anymore. I wish this app has a backup feature or a way to make the map into a jpeg and I am never going see the map ever again. This REALLY bothering me.

  4. ★★★★a needed feature is missing

Needs to integrate with the iOS Files App. Needs a lot of work, especially integration with Apple’s iOS File App. Without this integration it is difficult to open files located at other cloud providers.

  5. ★★★★slow performance and long loading times

Terrible. I hate using this app it’s very slow

  6. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Needs work.... This app needs work. You need to have tiny fingers to be able to touch the buttons. If you are not perfect, it acts as if the button is inactive. The desktop app is really cool. I hope this one can be improved soon.

  7. ★★★★crashes, freezes and errors

This version broken. Mindomo was my favorite mind mapping program--pretty intuitive and fairly bug free. Latest version cannot open my previously saved maps, and cannot create new ones. Please fix

  8. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Not for newbies, severely lacking in help features. Yes, I'm rather behind the times. Hence the need for organizational tools. And I am completely new to mind-mapping. The idea of mind mapping, however appealing, isn't the holy grail I'd hoped to find, at least not in this app, because it is totally new-user unfriendly. So to other technically challenged folks my suggestion is to not waste time here fiddling with various unfamiliar controls, as you could ostensibly be using that time to actually organize yourself. Perhaps it is just aiming at experienced mappers, or even more likely it's targeted audience are users from it's online website. More power to 'em, if it works for those in the know...I'm just not in that group. The largest issues for me: 1) Zero instruction/introduction pages. 2) when you *do* find and hit the help button, it takes you out of the app, to a safari page that is also fairly useless in explaining things to a person new to the mind-mapping experience. I want to simplify my life...this isn't helping me to do so. And while it's probably bad-form to mention another app in a review, for those frustrated as I was, I found the app, ZBNotebooks to be a much more user-friendly tool to introduce us old codgers to mind mapping, as well as more traditional organizational methods. YMMV, but I hope that the developers of this app will take note of the other apps well done intro pages.

  9. ★★★★slow performance and long loading times

Sluggish and impractical. Too slow on my iPad. Pretty much useless.

  10. ★★★★crashes, freezes and errors

Presentation keeps crashing. Every time I try to present, an apology and error message appears

  11. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Very bad customer service. There are 30 days trial, but there no way to get the money back, because no one responding to the email. Not really fair. Also not the best program/app There are better around

  12. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Crashing and Loosing Data. I have only tried the free version, but: - the program lost my only one work that I created due to program issues. (The mindmap was set back to default starting point after a crash.) - keeps logging me out. - doesn’t allow me to log back in just with some luck after several attempts . So for me is a straight no to this app. Why would I subscribe to a paid version if the free version proves to be useless?

  13. ★★★★crashes, freezes and errors

Great till it wanted permission to collect voice data.. All of a sudden stopped working after I “Don’t Allow” permission to collect voice data. Now does open any new folder and shuts down and kicks you out. A bit coercive

  14. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Just ew. This app is absolutely terrible don’t let these bot trick you into buying this terrible app never getting or using this app ever again also it will take your data

  15. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Have to pay to add images & export. You aren’t able to add images anymore without paying (we were able to add images 2 years ago). You also aren’t able to export it as a PDF without premium. They added a subscription feature where you have to pay to be able to use these features. Boo boo tomato tomato I will be using Padlet from now on

  16. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Absolute garbage. This is by far the worst app I have ever had.

  17. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

It’s a great app but.... GAH I’m gonna fail my assignment because I can’t login, I tried logging in several times but it doesn’t work, the only solution I found was “Signing in with google” but that ain’t working either.

  18. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Misleading info.. Does not use your cloud account to transfer data. You MUST start an account with them. I DO NOT want my data stored all over HELL! If you say you use the cloud, then I expect that you actually use the cloud, not an account on YOUR system! I will be looking for another option.

  19. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

No retina display support??. At this point it's just inexcusable not to have retina display support in your app. Great interface though.

  20. ★★★★crashes, freezes and errors

It won't open. I used to like the application until it stopped working. The application won't go any further than the main screen. I have tried to delete it and re-download but has not worked... Please fix!

  21. ★★★★saving, exporting or sharing the result fails

    Horrible. Can't save

  22. ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Must subscribe. Very limited use unless you buy a subscription.

  23. ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

    Num 1. Saved me

  24. ★★★★★data, history or progress disappears

Mindomo is great, the app is only ok. I moved from another mindmap maker that had very many glitches to Mindomo. It has been an overall pleasure to use, it’s versatile and powerful. I wish the app were better though. It is still ok on the core things that matter: - The offline mode seems to work with pretty good syncing once back online. However, it is not 100% - right now I just came back from two days without internet, and mindomo is caught in a loop trying to sync, saying “autosaving changes failed.”** - The overall functionality is good for mindmaps. It gets slow with large mindmaps, but when they are collapsed down it speeds up - The graphical display of the mindmaps is good, lots of options Now, here are the problems: - there is no commenting feature. this is a big oversight. it forces me to use the web browser version (which has its own glitches on ipad) - there is no way that I can find to do “quick entry” on the ipad with a keyboard. Hitting “return” or “enter” just makes a new line in the node rather than a new node. This is a real pain. I have tried every keyboard combo imaginable to try to create the equivalent of an “enter” key for a new node. The only way that I found that works is to use the browser version - The user interface on the app version is different than on the web version. Too much so. When I go back and forth, it’s hard to remember which things are where. So, I just created a “Web app” on the ipad and mostly use that, except when I’m going offline (there are lots of places in my part of the world without any internet whatsoever). The “Web app” has its own glitches, but by and large is better than the regular app. Now that I lost some data for lack of proper offline sync with the offline version***, I’m going to give up on using the app version at all. ** note to Mindomo team, I did lose my changes. It stayed stuck in a loop, and then I had to force quit mindomo. After restarting it made me log in again, and when I browsed to the mindmap, it had lost my changes (#$!). You need to have it give a longer login timeout than just two days. Losing material now makes me lower my review by another star.

  25. ★★★★★a needed feature is missing

support email for feedback missing; there is no floating topic option on ipad app. There is no floating topic option on ipad app. There is no option for converting an existing mind map to outline format No ability to connect 2 different mind maps created separately at different times. Tagging mindmaps or linking different mind maps is needed for a tool like this. No email on ipad app store to communicate these concerns. Just a link to website.

  26. ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

App platform lacking, online fantastic. I don’t write a lot of reviews but hoping to see Mindomo invest more time in their mobile app. I’m a veterinary student and I use Mindomo for class notes. It’s the first program I was willing to upgrade to the paid version and it has been well worth it. The online platform is incredibly easy to use. I still haven’t mastered all the capabilities but I love the ability to link between maps and to the web, as well as add pictures and text boxes. The online PDF export option is also great, and I love the ability to switch between outlines and maps. When I discovered you could use icons and filter that was a game changer (as a vet student I have to keep track of disease and conditions for all animals, so being able to filter my map by ‘horse’ or ‘pig’ or ‘dog’ emoji is invaluable). The only feature I have found myself wanting on the online platform at this stage is the ability to add multiple links to one topic or the ability to link to a specific topic on another page (although the latter would be just icing on the cake). However the mobile app experience is an entirely different animal (have on iPad and iPhone). It’s hard to navigate the cloud files because it insists on icons so I can’t read the full file names, so I have to open each map to figure out what it is. Also yesterday in the middle of an exam it crashed numerous times, which is exactly when I need it NOT to fail, so I had to abandon all my notes when I needed them most. I had already determined I would never build maps on mobile cause the font editing etc gets too tricky, but even navigating can be rough (I always end up accidentally adding a new topic as I try to scroll around). So my rating is low for the AppStore, despite how much I could rave on a positive review for the online version. I hope they start investing in their mobile apps because this program is fantastic, and if it could be reliable and more functional in the apps it’d be a force to be reckoned with.

Don't rely on the free version to keep your maps.. Man, do I ♥ this app. I used it a lot. When it couldn't find two of my maps, I contacted technical support. They said if I hadn't uninstalled the app, they could get it back. I gave them the version of the app and my device. I told them I had not uninstalled the app. Their reply was we cannot help you. They also said if I had saved it to iCloud or Dropbox, then I would have a back-up. The free version only allows you to save 3 maps to the cloud. I've read that's down from 7, in an earlier free version. Bottom line. The free version only allows you to save 3 maps, and the local maps on your device are at risk.

  28. ★★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Didn't care for the subtopics view. I did not like how the app created words and brackets for the subtopics. I want shapes, deleted and went in search for another app with all shapes.

  29. ★★★★★a needed feature is missing

Cannot add my own image. Well it a good mind mapping tool. BUT I am not able to add my own image, doesn't have any option, other than you can add image searched from Flickr, bing etc. Should have a facility to add my own pictures/images. That is a MAJOR drawback. Ruff

Retina support coming?. It's not too bad, but any plans for a retina update?
