   Algorithm. I’m not sure what happened to the algorithm over the past six months to a year but it changed. Ever since then it started mixing genres and playing artists that I never listen to. Or it thinks that since I listen to some pop music on occasion that I must love all pop music even though I’ve disliked certain artists or their songs. It’s really annoying when you’re driving and trying to change the song, only for it to continue to put on songs that you dislike. I have to completely back out of the first song that I clicked on and then choose something else. It happens repeatedly. I used to just be able to choose a song and it would stick with the genre so I could listen to it while I was doing whatever, without having to stop what I was doing to change it. I’ve been a devoted subscriber for years. Please fix this!!!!!!

   Absolutely rigged. The app used to be absolutely amazing you could listen to the music while being in a different app it was so wonderful then today I entered the app and guess what! You need to have freaking YouTube PREMIUM 15.99 a MONTH just to listen to MUSIC . We should have freedom to listen to music without any costs because they make songs for our joy and entertainment 15.99 dumb dollars a Month!😒 Odeliaout!

   Annoying problem. I add a song to a playlist and won’t show up no matter what I do I got to the YouTube app it show it’s there I flicker the different options to rearrange the playlist it doesn’t work I keep refreshing the YouTube Music app it doesn’t work I keep spam adding the song not one shows up I delete the YouTube music app and re Download it and it doesn’t work why is it so difficult for the YouTube music app to be able to update immediately without delay but the YouTube app is able to sync up with YouTube music app and the newly added song is there already there is the YouTube app when I didn’t even you that app to add the song in I use the YouTube Music app to add songs and yet it can’t the YouTube music app can’t update itself when I’m actively using that

   Extremely slow. YouTube doesn’t take care of its paying customers. A downloaded playlist shouldn’t have to take significant time to load, because it’s available locally. There’s so much background code running, doing who knows what, when I click Go to downloads that it just sits and spins. The developers can sit and spin, because of all things to get right, paid functionality should be at the top of the list. I pay for only 2 reasons: no ads and the download capability. Downloads are so irritating, I now have one less reason to pay for this garbage app. I will switch to the first other service I find where I can watch videos and listen to music. 👎

   Commercials. Not only do they sneak in two commercials that sometimes you can’t skip but god forbid your listening to your music loud and your song ends the commercial that’s coming on afterwards will be so loud it’s likely to blow your speakers. I used to love this app but it’s just been going downhill like a snowball on its way to hell

   Needs a LOT of work. I’ve used YouTube for my music since I was in high school. For a company as big as YouTube, this should be way better. You can not just look at a list of all the artist songs. It’s all automatically in groups, such as top songs, albums and singles/EPs. It should be able to look at a list of all songs and sort them by newest instead of trying to dig to find a song that hasn’t done as well as the artist’s best songs. Queuing songs seems to work at random. Some times it goes to the next song you queued, and some times it’s completely random. There’s no way to see info about songs, such as what year it came out. This app needs to be SO much better than it is, especially if you’re having to pay for a YouTube subscription.

   Requires iOS 16 for no reason 🙄. Dropping support for iOS 15 was stupid. I’m sure soon we will see the “update or exit” pop up that doesn’t let you use the app

    Terrible. STOP REPLACING MY DOWNLOADED SONGS WITH OTHER VERSIONS! I would go back one day and the playlist wasn’t even what I created in the first place. There’s a reason why I chose specific singers or versions of the song. I really don’t need you to think you can just replace them with whatever you think matches.

    Rigged algorithm. Unlike music un downloaded music Seems not to be able to be dismissed off of my phone. For example I have recently fell off of the NBA YoungBoy train and went all his music off of my phone and algorithm. I keep pushing unlike on my leg playlist, but somehow someway continues to pop up in my algorithm with a thumbs up. Even if I push, thumbs down the song still pops up claiming that it’s downloaded, but won’t give me the option to un download it. It’s kind of like you hacked my YouTube Music and will not let me not listen to this dude.🤢

    BIG ISSUE. I canceled my Apple Music subscription because I wanted to go back to YouTube Music and I already knew this was gonna be a problem just as it was last time when I tried to subscribe to just the single person subscription. It doesn’t allow me to every single time I tried to press the button to pay. It doesn’t allow me to and I have no way of fixing it but of course it allows me to pay for the $25 family subscription which is BS.

    Accessibility Nightmare. Once again they decide to update the UI. This time the lyrics button has been crammed in with the other small buttons rather than be kept in the better option of the swipe up menu. You can't fine tune the up next recommendations and overall they just need to stop making the app worse.

    Leaves a lot to ask for. App is carried heavily by its catalog of music, videos, and of course, YouTube access. However, the app itself could be heavily improved to not drain battery, start/stop music randomly, or simply improve the UI to be user friendly. The download feature is poor, making it hard to access when offline. Even when you’re able to access it, all the downloads take forever to load. You’ll have to constantly open and close this app for it to work. Do better YouTube, you’re a billion dollar company.

    New update. YouTube music is great but ever since the new update it’s just been so random. It doesn’t recommend me music that is related gives me a whole different recommendations which I hate because it doesn’t even give me the option to find music related to add to the queue. I really hate the new update I have premium, I would give it a 5 star but ever since the update it just downgraded.

    YouTube music is a scam. I’ve been using YouTube music for the past seven years and overall, I am very deeply disappointed, and also feel taken advantage of. The first two years from 2018 to 2020 were great, a free trial promo got me into paying monthly until I cut it. Ever since using the free version since 2020 I’ve seen and observed some very concerning and also disappointing incidents that will happen. The first thing is that if you do not pay for the YouTube music premium YouTube music will occasionally shut off your screen while you’re listening to music. If you’re not aware, you cannot listen to the music if your screen is off. Also the app will usually not allow you to actually view the song you were on until you swipe down and then swipe back up to look at what’s up next. I like to listen to music while I drive but if I have to be on my phone to just play the music I want, it creates a hazard and it has been happening to me in 2020 to 2025. Just recently as well I’ve been clicking on the speed dial, which includes all the normal songs that you frequently listen to, and it will tell me everything that I click on is unavailable and play another song instead of the one I wanted to listen to. It’s almost as if nobody manages this app for bugs or any fixes and essentially does not care about their YouTube music premium members. If you’re looking for a app that is going to be more of a nuisance than a tool to you, YouTube music is that app and you will be blown away on how horribly taken care of it is. Just in case Spotify offers a way to transport your playlists. That’s the only reason I didn’t leave years before because I didn’t know that was an option. Fix your app YouTube!!

    Just get Spotify. Ive been using yt music for a while now but its horrible you have to pay a subscription just to use it without your phone being on their membership is so expensive and Spotify doesn’t spam you with ads unlike yt music. Spotify is just a much more efficient and reliable option

    The worst music app ever. It literally defies the point of a music app. It doesn’t let you listen to music with turning off the app. Spotify is 100 times better and your better off getting it. Yt got too greedy for their own food and made a app that works like the opposite of what it should, like who would listen to music without ever turning their phone off? It makes you pay for a premium subscription to listen.
