   Fertility tracking no longer works. I have been using this app for YEARS and always loved it! Paid for it! Now the fertility tracking doesn’t work and the feedback option to reach out for support is gone. So frustrating and disappointing! Hoping the developers will fix the fertility tracking issue.

   Can’t export data…. I’ve been using this app for 15 years now. I know I initially paid something for it, before app subscriptions were a thing, and you could buy an app with a one-time payment. Perhaps that’s why I’m not having the ad issues that others have mentioned? In the past, I’ve been able to export my data, but this option is currently behind a paywall. There’s no way to contact support, and they want me to pay $5/month to export my data. Shady. No thanks. I’ve started using the Health app on my phone instead.

   Update for 2026: garbage data mining. New review from 2026: App now requires a sign in and acceptance of a very intrusive privacy policy. I will not be returning to use it despite over 12 years of use and suddenly being forced to sign in and give away personal data, IP address and carrier information. I think you don’t know your audience well. I bought this app outright because I wanted to support a service I loved, oh well. Old review from 2018: Really love this app! I have used it religiously for over 5 years when attempting to get pregnant, having failure in getting pregnant (showing my doctor what I have tried to obtain a fertility specialist referral ) plus tracking my cycles while going through miscarriage, fertility treatments and attempts at conception naturally. Not to mention this app transitioned me through a pregnancy, return of my cycle and trying again for baby number 2. I had no defects, problems or use with this app. Completely reliable!! I am still using it and rely upon it completely for tracking periods, ovulation and planning. Really easy to use and modify for your own use. This app tracks menstruation cycles, optimum ovulation, moods, weight, basal temp, "love dates" and any meta data you desire to track when things happened and when. I have used it to back-search data for when I took shots or took specific tests. I found it invaluable in when going back to the doctor for information they needed about outside specialists or dates on when things happened. Highly recommended!

   Do Not Recommend. This app used to be great. The company states „Trusted for 16 years“. That was true until recently. Whatever they‘re up to now, doesn‘t seem good. I bought it many years ago and used it without issue until recently. Now it crashes frequently and all my data has been deleted. I don‘t trust it any longer! And don‘t recommend you do either. If you look at the reviews, I‘m not the only one saying this.

   What happened?. I purchased this app back in 2010 or 2011, and been a happy user until very recently. All of a sudden, it’s real confused. It’s saying my average cycle length is 19 days (which isn’t at all true), so my next period estimates are way off. It also doesn’t adjust my fertile window anymore. I can’t find anywhere to submit feedback, even though it says under FAQs “Please submit suggestions via the feedback link under Settings.” There is no feedback link. I’m very disappointed, and may have to switch the apps I use if this isn’t resolved.

   No good anymore. I’ve been using iPeriod since 2012 and have found it very useful. Now suddenly I have to log in with my AppleID and agree to an intrusive privacy policy in order to use it. Very disappointed to have to delete this app, but I can’t use it like this.

    INCREDIBLY MISLEADING, NO SUPPORT.. I downloaded the period tracker + app, which cost $1.99. I was enjoying the app, when I was getting pop ups asking me to buy an additional subscription on top of the $1.99 I had already paid. Why does the app cost money if there will also be a subscription? I found that misleading because I didn’t not know that there would be other costs. Can you please explain why there is another cost on top of the original price of the app? I’m very disappointed because I assumed that buying this app would mean I would be able to use the full features, instead of being forced to buy a subscription. Upon figuring this out, I was trying to find an email or phone number to contact the developers and there is no way to contact them. THIS APP IS EXTREMELY MISLEADING! DO NOT WASTE MONEY ON THIS.

    A SCAM that holds legacy users hostage. This went from being the first period tracking app in the App Store, to the absolute worst one. And yes I’ve tried a ton of them while trying to free my 13 years of data from the clutches of this app, without losing that valuable data entirely. So you’re thinking about downloading this app in 2024, LEAVE RIGHT NOW. What this app will do for you: — Give you agita with its endless glitches and functionality that’s somehow worse than it was in 2011 — Share your info with third parties — Encourage you to let it ACCESS your Apple Health data so it can pull in all manner of sensitive info about you, — But— this is key— the app will NOT let you share or sync any data FROM iPeriod TO Apple Health. The reason is obvious— they know their app is trash and has become a data-farming scam, and if every user could tidily leave with their old data in tact, everyone would. — You can pay $5 to export your data as a pdf. Isn’t that great? Mine was the length of a small book. Wouldn’t want someone extracting THEIR OWN INFO from a .cvs or .xls file either, I guess. Well! Off to delete!

    Data lost- zero support options. Upgraded my phone and the app no longer works. No data restored and no link to request support. Years of data is now gone and there is no way of contacting support.

    Bought this app YEARS ago; suddenly can’t access data. App is suddenly forcing users to either sign in using Apple ID or email account. Thumbprint passcode no longer works. Tried to log in using email but got “wrong password.” Tried to reset password, but no reset email was sent. It’s like it’s FORCING you to use Apple ID. Extremely frustrating since this is one of the very few apps I actually bought and have been using for close to a decade.

    Forcing me to create an account. And BROKEN. I’ve been using this app for years for tracking my cycles, but as of today (May 29, 2022), it is forcing me to login or create an account simply to use it. I’ve never made an account, and don’t plan to (for my privacy, thank you). But the login screen won’t go away, and I can’t access the data that is still behind it (I can tell because when I first open the app, all my information is right there, but then I get the blocking pop-up about two seconds later). UPDATE: I tried logging in via Apple (though I REALLY DON’T WANT TO), but even though it seems I successfully did, the login screen won’t go away. Please fix the app

    Can’t access account!. I’ve had this app since it was first created and that’s well over 10 years of data I had stored. I went to use it today and it won’t allow me access! I paid for this app years ago so I shouldn’t have to pay anything else to access it. I want access to my data! Please fix this app asap.

    Signing in is a great issue. I’ve been using this app for years and it worked pretty well but am sorry that I have to give it one star and send this review again. It’s the second time that after changing to a new iPhone the app doesn’t sign in at all and keeps showing this error that something is wrong!! It doesn’t recognize my email and doesn’t even send me a password reset link 😫 I always relied on this app and now I don’t have access to my log 😭

    updated: deleting app-data mining. So I've used and heavily relied on this app for probably over a decade. It saved me from countless uncomfortable vacays and helped me plan life in general. NOW, all of a sudden, they REQUIRE my Apple ID email and other personal info?? Great app RUINED. Am deleting and using the native Health app instead. Bad move guys:(

    Formerly happy user now just mad. I have used this app for YEARS. Recently they updated their whole software framework and required a new login. I’m in dev so I know this is possible, but their devs completely broke their UX. It will not keep me logged in if I move to a different app, even when I leave the app open. It will no longer accept my original email credentials. It forced me to use Apple—but it doesn’t integrate with the Apple Health framework. Huge red flag. I hate the idea of having to port years of data to another app, but that’s what I’m about to do.

    Logs you out every time. I have used the app for years and used to love it. Recently it logs me out after closing the app. Some days I have to login multiple times in a day. It’s not worth the headache to keep logging back in.

    Very disappointed. I used to love this app. I used it since 2011 and paid for the full version. It’s been 10 years now, I can’t believe how big of a downhill this app is going. It kept logging me out, and all the customized label would be randomly erased. Those are all my data you are deleting. I have 0 trust in this app now and I just feel like the team doesn’t care about this product and is not being responsible for its users. Sadly, I will be finding and migrating to a new app, before you wrongly handle all my data.

    Be prepared to lose all and share all your info. Be prepared to lose all and share all your info! I used this app for 9 years. I Loved it! Overnight, about a year ago (yay pandemic era misfortune!), it lost all my info. (There was an iOS upgrade, but that’s not an excuse for all my other apps. …) Now, it makes you agree to share all of your info if you want to use your own info to, e.g., check when your next period is. I’m disgusted and disappointed.

    Don’t use this APP. I’ve been using this APP for years. Monday I lost all my data out of the blue. All data is gone!! I’m furious! I searched online and find same complaints. I tried to contact the customer service but haven’t heard anything back. It’s been a few days and nobody get back to me. Please take my advice seriously!

    “Forgot password” feature not working. Please help. The app suddenly kicked me out after 10+ years of using it as a paid customer. The forgot password feature is not programmed correctly. I only get a red error about the password needing to be more than 3 characters in length. No reset link has been sent to my email. Have you lost all my data?

    Can’t log in - please fix your app!. As a software engineer who develops mobile apps... it’s hard to find good apps that I’ll use long-term. I’ve used the PAID version of iPeriod for 10 years and now I can’t log in. I’ve lost 10 years of period + pregnancy data and I am above and beyond heartbroken. This is totally unacceptable. Their error handling is broken so you can’t even figure out what the validation or log-in error is. I am floored at their lack of support in resolving this. There’s no way to contact them or resolve this issue and I can’t even create a new account with my apple ID because it’s already taken... by me. Unacceptable. This is NOT how you develop apps.
