   😔. I used this app for years and I accidentally updated all my apps, this one being one of them. The update is the worst and now I am forced to go to premium, no easy upload to the cloud, and fine print does not come in clear and concise as it did prior to the update. Now I have to find another app to use!

   Another great app ruined. Premium subscriber for years using it to create pdfs from photo scans. Now it just slaps a photo onto a white background. WTH? What is the point of this app now?

   Features removed. Features are behind a different paywall now, separate from what you may have purchased before. You also can’t open files from your phone for OCR it seems, only the camera roll or camera app— even with the new monthly subscriptions.

   DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!. I can’t go into my photos and compile a pdf. I had this app on my device for years.

   Pretty much useless. Don’t pay; you’ll get screwed.. This app used to be very helpful; you could scan books, and it would separate the pages automatically. I paid a LOT for a license because that was very helpful and made scanning fast. But then they just REMOVED that feature - they didn’t replace it or change it, they just removed it completely. And now the app is pointless to me. I asked them more than once to return the book-scanning feature, but I guess they just don’t want to. So - don’t pay any money for this; they’ll probably remove more features, and then you’ll have to find another app. (Readdle’s Scanner Pro is pretty good… and THEY have the book-scanning feature now! Also… Scanner Pro is cheaper.)

   How do you open a pdf?. This app is horrible. I can’t get it to open an existing pdf from OneDrive, Dropbox or box. Does it work with the files created via the app?

    Book Scan Gone. I have used this product for over 5 years. It was a lifesaver through grad school for scanning textbooks into ebooks for use with a text-to-speech. Now they take the book scan feature away. Why?! It now takes twice as long to scan a book. I have been a paying customer for years. Now you have lost me to Adobe Scan. Why would you bother to remove such a critical feature?

    Super Sneaky. As a long time user and have purchased the app sometime ago, usage is now limited to a set number of pages, as if it’s a free trial, and is trying to force signing up fir a subscription. After years of having the app, it’s being deleted. While this was one of the few that did scanning and OCR early on, there are so many scanners and text converters now, where you get full functionality and no subscription fees. I’ll never trust buying anyhing outright from ABBYY.

    Used to be great. The app used to be great until they got rid of book scanning functionality with the latest update. And the OCR doesn’t work now either. Why would the developers ruin their app?

    Only get worse. Use to be a very good app. Now its not working with voice over. Contacted them 2 months ago about the issue and still not resolved. I see here that last update was 3 months ago. I canceled my subscription which I had since 2018.

    From great to really bad…... Had been using this scanner app for a few years now and thought it was the best thing ever until last week when all of my scanned documents just magically disappeared for no reason. Total inconvenience and catastrophic event.

    Nothing is obvious. Menus unhelpful. I own the desktop program and this is nothing like it. I cannot figure out how to create a new file. Open a file from somewhere else. Sign a file. Nothing. How could you do this so poorly?

    Impossible to cancel subscription. This app is mediocre at best, scans are NOT print ready, but worst of all the subscription renews automatically and can’t be canceled. It’s a trap.

    What a joke of an app!. This app is a CamScanner without the ability to read a PDF from a cloud or local storage of an iPad. I don’t care how good the OCR is when used on an image. I need it to work on an existing scanned PDF!

    Shady business. All my scans are gone due to the recent update where they force you subscribe.

    Server error. I've been using this app for years but now I just get a server error whenever I try to convert PDFs to OCR. This has been happening for months without getting fixed. I also don't know the difference between my 9.99 annual subscription and the new, more expensive one.
