   Used to be good. Just came back to this app after quite some time. Usually the app won’t start. Can’t get past load screen. Then if I do get past it the first ad that pops up has no way out. No close button. Just sits there. Never closes. Miss this app

   Gotten horrible. I used to love Zedge . Now you can’t browse even 2 ringtones without an add popping up.NO I will not pay your subscription. Plenty of places do this for free with soy less intrusive ads. Good bye Zedge.

    Ads. Well, it used to be good. Now all you get are ads. Yes, I know,ads are the way they get paid. BUT, you get inundated with ads. Constantly! You can’t click out easily. They hid the “X” to close the ad. Even if it is visible touching the “X” just takes you into the ad most of the time. Developers, don’t even apologize, you know what you’re doing. The app is completely useless. Zero stars.

    Extremely disappointed. A friend of mine recommended this site for a particular ringtone that he had on his phone and he said he downloaded it from the site when I paid for the lifetime subscription to this site. I started to look I cannot find the ringtones that I was looking for. I was looking for actual artist and there are none. I’m extraordinarily disappointed in the site and sadly I wasted $22 on the lifetime subscription which I probably will never see a dime worth of that so I’m extraordinarily disappoint.

    Poorly Designed, Doesn’t work as expected, Poor quality app support - Read To Find Out Why. Deceiving, Does’t Work As Described, Terrible App Support - Read To Find Out Why I’ve never treated my customers like this. I don’t usually leave feedback. But I feel Zedge does require commentary. At the outset, I have been looking for an App that provided ringtones I could download without my having to convert them to my IOS Devices. Zedge appeared to meet this requirement. I reviewed other user comments, examined the type of user information collected, etc. In November 2025, I downloaded the App and entered a subscription at the free level. Initially, I was pleased because I had no difficulties searching and downloading free ringtones such as tv themes, broadway ringtones, etc. Then things changed. I’m not sure if Zedge changed or what but the problems started with their next update. I logged in via Safari or directly via the App - it made no difference. No longer could I get access to any results from my search queries. I started getting confronted with a multitude of various splash screens peppering me: such as requirement to accept cookies, advertisements for games such as “Royal Kingdom,”, another screen pushing to upgrade to a monthly payment tier or one-time lifetime payment, “Spin The Wheel” - and more. I couldn’t bypass these splash screens to get to the basic App, although there was an X obscured in the upper right corner of the splash screen that was hard to see. Even tapping on it produced another splash screen further preventing me from getting to the core functionality of the an app. I contacted the App Developer/Support option Multiple Times (30+times) since November 2025. I did receive responses. I attached multiple screenshots illustrating the problems (e.g. showing the splash screens) preventing my ability to access the app. I contacted the Developer several more times asking for clarification or what I could do. Their responses were always out of context clearly not in focus with my request. Very Disconcerting! I regard this as a brushoff as my question goes unanswered - how can I access the App if I can’t get past the splash screens that keep repeating. Further replies from App Support kept repeating standard boiler plate language Not At All focusing upon my issues. I’m now suspecting and confident that All responses to my questions are AI generated since all answers are obscure and don’t relate to my questions. A month has elapsed without any effective support. Multiple responses from Zedge are duplicative, one-line responses that increasingly seem AI driven. I googled and found a phone number for Zedge. I called and the recipient three separate times and he was reluctant to confirm if I reached the company. On top of that, he was almost impolite and didn’t let me explain the problem but said someone would return my call within 48 hours. The next day and in response, I received an email from someone else and I had to recount and start all over again The next day I did get a “ human” based reply. I had to start all over again. The tech support person explained that the functionality is different between Android and IOS. Not true. The App Description in the Apple App Store clearly indicates that you can download Ringtones and Wallpapers. I’ve now updated my devices to latest IOS, cleared Cache, Force Restarted my devices, run Diagnostics, without any improvement. I informed the Zedge representative that I was tired of email support and suggested this be escalated to a phone call. He agreed and set a date, didn’t call and I never heard from him again. Weeks later, this matter was transferred to another representative and another set of emails. I submitted 15 screenshots and followed all their suggestions. They informed me that the Zedge App is designed for an IPhone. Interesting, the App in the Apple App Store indicates it can be used on an IPad. In short, I regard the App/Developer Support as insulting and the worst I’ve seen. It’s one thing not to respond to a user/customer but to offer meaningless help escalates this to an even higher level that escapes logic and belief. The second representative ignored much of the information I provided. If other users have had a positive experience, then I’m truly happy. My IOS Devices are all up to date. Upgrading to a paid tier is unlikely to provide a necessary fix and I lack confidence that this would afford any fix. I will award 1 star based upon the alleged App content - I’ve yet to see it. App Support never addressed my issues despite plenty of screenshots provided. If the problem is addressed and resolved so I can find what I should as provided in the App Description in the Apple Store, I’ll be happy to amend my rating, but not till then. So far, I’ve exchanged emails for support now over four months without resolution. The last comment from Zedge Support was the App was functioning as expected. I don’t think so. This is completely unacceptable!! This is a long commentary but a necessary one. Readers please proceed as you may. UPDATE: 06-27-26: STILL DOESN’t WORK.

    Not what it used to be. Years ago when this app was released it was easy and fun to find unique and free ringtones. Now it’s nearly impossible to either find the tone you want, or everything is locked behind a paywall subscription. Deleting the app and finding a better alternative. So so disappointed.

    Ringtone problems. I’m paying $.99 a month so that I can add ringtones to family and friends, but it would not work at all and I’m trying to cancel this but it’s not going through with Z. So I have to contact PayPal and cancel these transactions. Very unhappy with what is happening with this company!

    Ad-filled, small library disappointment. Unfortunately, this app leaves almost everything to be desired. The library of ringtones itself is small, same with notifications. Constant ads popping up, interrupting everything you try and do, being asked numerous times every session to pay the $20 to get rid of the ads, also interrupting your user experience. The android version of this app is 1000 times better than this piece of junk. I miss having a real app where you could get actual ringtone and notification content. Would not use, especially wouldn’t give them money. This is embarrassing.

    What happened. I used to have zedge years ago and it was great. Easy to find song snippets for ringtones. Just got the new version and decided to spend the $20 for a lifetime subscription. Tried finding a song for a ringtone for 30 minutes without any luck. Wish I could get a refund.

    Not very good in my opinion. They didn't have any of my favorite music artist on there and almost every single song was country and I absolutely hate country, even roblox knows who Femtanyl or Alex G is. They are both music artist btw. And every single background is ai. Not very good do not recommend for people who like music other then country.
