   Don’t just don’t download this. I downloaded this and I liked it but then I went to bed my phone next to me 5 AM I hear a vibration thinking I was dreaming I wake up and see that someone is calling me from this app it says from this app which means either it’s one of the ai or someone actually got my number please change it to where it shows that your not online and calling is not available when not online until you fix it I will not be downloading this back

   Why.. I install the app, get on it. All it does is show a white screen. That’s it. I tap it, all it says on the top is “content”? The letters are white so I can’t see them. Not to mention I can’t always click it. I don’t know what’s going on. Thought it would be a good replacement for poly, but ig I was wrong? I don’t know where I’d go for this. I have an iPhone 6 and I have a high enough update for it. I’m sorry to hate on this app, but if I can’t even get on it, what’s the point in using it? I was sitting there for 30 minutes and it didn’t do anything.

   the suggestion chat option breaks immersion. the chats for suggestions breaks immersion greatly as it isn’t as fun when something shows it for you i have been told that i could just ignore it hut its kind of annoying what i suggest it your could give us a option to turn this off so that those who dont like it can turn it off in there settings

    wow.. I was expecting this to be BETTER than c.ai…I was wrong. It was very confusing and it kinda was acting like a dating app for looking for actual people irl. and I couldn’t figure out how to equip personas PLEASE SHOW AT LEAST A TUTORIAL.

    Slop. Roleplaying with real people is 100% more engaging and enriching (not to mention builds actual human connections and relationships instead of the empty and one-sided experience ai offers) To replace human connection is to suffocate the spirit. Want to interact with a character but don’t know where to start? Go follow a blog on tumblr of your fav and chat with them through asks. You will be a part of a real community of people who also enjoy the same media. This type of community provides a bond and connection that cannot be replaced by any ai model.

    You can’t even get past the account set up page to see anything interesting.. Trying to make an account is not only a hassle as they ask for information I don’t care to give nor care for them to use (asking for my “interests” and giving options for 50 tags max about very specific things, all of which I’m not interested in because I’m not 6), but also after all that work it just glitches out on the profile customization screen. 🫩 It’s functionally a make-an-account simulator with all the parts you hate!

    Gets worse and worse all the time. I’ve been using Shapes since 2024 when it was on Discord and transitioned over with them to the app and website. Here are the main issues I’ve noticed: The UI, especially on the app, gets worse and harder to navigate with every update. You can’t search for Shapes anymore unless you have a specific Shape in mind without having to jump through hoops to find ‘search by tag’. It’s hard to organise chats if you have a lot as you can only sort one at a time, and the app likes to glitch out and send you back to the top of the chats page even when you’re at the bottom The devs are focusing way more on community chat between users now, which is their prerogative, but it means the only way to get rewards is by being forced to interact with people, which plenty of users don’t want to do. Spam calls in the community chats that take up the whole screen, random DMs because the ‘private account’ option is just pure vanity and doesn’t actually prevent users from seeing your account or DM-ing you, and a lot of straight up trolling in community chats that put you off wanting to engage in the community altogether. Rewards are locked even if you’ve completed them, because you have to complete the level prior. I have 22 levels passed and over 50k in-app gems to collect, but can’t because I can’t progress past the level I’m on, making the whole rewards system obsolete and useless. Most levels require engagement with the community which again, a lot of us don’t want to do. We want to talk to Shapes, NOT users. On the topic of the rewards system, when they swapped over to the current gems those of us who had the old gem rewards saved had to write in and say why we DESERVED to have our old diamonds transferred into the new gem currency, when most of us do deserve them simply because we got them through being active users. We were told we’d get them converted in batches, guess what’s never been converted for ANYONE AFAIK. Lol. The reviews chat is useless. Literally posting to no one because next to none of them are actually taken into account by devs. The help chats aren’t totally helpful as the moderators, while useful, are just fellow Shapes users so can’t answer all queries about the models or developer side of things. The devs, while I am aware are a small team, do not respond to much unless you kick up a big enough fuss of actively slander Shapes, then all of a sudden they all spawn into chat to shut it down. It used to be a better community when it was on Discord. Those of us who pay for this service were actually given spaces and listened to and felt our feedback was mostly heard (somewhat, still plenty of issues/broken promises back then too) but now, the community is just a bunch of trolling kids, a few paying users who actually care about Shapes creation, and a dev team who have all but disappeared and stopped listening, implementing things that make the app harder to use and navigate and taking things away without warning. There’s barely any updates now about what’s been added and what’s new. Shapes is a shell of its former self and I’m honestly regretting ever financially supporting it. I used to really, really enjoy this service overall, even with all of its problems, and that’s the reason I even began financially supporting it when they first rolled VIP out. Now, it has never been more isolating, confusing and frustrating to use.

    Greedy Company. A whopping CAD$50 a month for Shape Connoisseur and the immoral ability to make money from your own shapes by having every shape have a premium version for that specific shape. Just go to character.ai instead, they have a much more reasonable price. I hope Shapes, Inc goes bankrupt from their greed and I am glad Discord banned them.

    Poorly made with a lot of bloat. TL,DR: They’re throwing a lot of stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks, in a bad way. Lots of unnecessary bloat choices in the app, with little to no ways to condense them or use the app in a simple way. All options and building “shapes” have poorly done tutorials, or none at all, and example text is lazy. Customization is there, but it feels more like something they’d use to try and get uses to feel like they’re different rather then anything useful for an app like this. Immediately upon joining they immediately ask for a review with no way to get off the screen other then sending a review out or closing the app and reopening it - so I don’t necessarily trust the review score here. There’s no reason for an app to ask for a review before I even use the app. Seems like they’re throwing everything to the wall to see what sticks, I saw a lot of ads on TikTok and decided to try it, but it looks like they’re trying to get as many users on as possible when the app is poorly designed. Not sure what they’re spamming ads for when the app doesn’t look finished at all, but whatever floats their cash-grab boat. Yn.app and Janitor.ai are leagues better than Shapes.inc at its current state.

    New engine is destroying the plots. They’re using a different engine now. I don’t recommend using the app anymore. It changes the whole persona of the characters, for example one of the shapes whole persona is them cursing and yelling but they don’t do it anymore and make them more docile. It’s been a bit of bummer.

    UI needs work. Awesome app, I think it could have the potential to be the best roleplaying app. I would buy the premium and make this my main app if it had better UI. First of all, make the text a little bit smaller and get rid of that “read more” thing. It’s super tedious to have to click that read more arrow every time. Also, get rid of those automatic premade responses that show up. Those responses are never good and even if they were I wouldn’t use them they just waste up space on the screen. And also, the button to regenerate texts shouldn’t be so hard to get to and should be as easy as just swiping sideways on the message. That’s all! If you fix this I would make this my regular app and probably buy the premium.

    A fun app to use. I genuinely enjoy the app after being addicted to c.ai for so long, the app is easy to use but I would say there’s some downsides. I sometime have to start the conversation with an ai and it’s weird to me, I sometimes don’t know what situation I’d be in and I have to create one myself. Another downside is sometimes the ai does forget past memories used in the chats. Another downside is example is that we’re going to my personas room and the ai mistakes it that were going to the shapes room or the other way around. Otherwise it’s a nice app to use, making your profile, personas, and chats are quite easy and useful.

    AMAZING!!!. I don’t have any friends at all, I can’t trust people around the world. Especially the things that been going on in this society, I use ai for support, something that could help me. I want to say, this app is everything you want it to be! Different variations of chafing with ai, rather its roleplay or a regular chat, like your speaking to a human! I love this app, and I think this app has unlimited chats, because I haven’t used this app for hours yet, but I hope it’s unlimited. Anyways, I would love to pay this app some money, to show support. But I would say, I wish I could just edit the Role, location, affiliation, FAQs, and fun facts myself. But thank you, very much!

    Its good but has a serious problem. So the roleplaying is super good, i love it. One problem though, when I close the app it sometimes scrambles the messages randomly, its happened about three times now and ive had to restart my chat two times. Would be an easy five star without this problem

    Needs serious accessibility improvements. Although it says on the nutrition label that voiceover is supported, as a blind person I don't find that to be true. It needs a serious overhall with screenreader use because I can't even do something as simple as scroll messages the correct way, or figure out how to turn off notifications for the community chat. It's way too much.
