   Bird Sounds Identifier Call ID. This is for an experienced birder or someone that wants to become one. I was under the impression that after I recorded all of these various birds singing & chirping right outside my window, this app would identify each bird by their lovely songs and then I’d be able to use of those as ringtones. If I can get my money back that would be my goal, but this is a lovely concept - just not the one I was looking for.

   Why pay?. This app is pay to use- but there is a better one that is free! It feels dishonest. The recordings you make do not save to analyze later- so if you do not have service, you are out of luck. It also incorrectly identifies birds regularly. Do not recommend.

   Sucks. Far from user friendly & many bird calls do not load & just sits w/the loading prompt circling for ever!! Why not allow me to my bird call into microphone,to ID the bird ,,rather than a needle in a haystack,with the generic input options !!??

   This is not Merlin. This is not the Merlin app though they are using a similar logo. It bugs me because I bought a subscription thinking it was Merlin. They’re banking on you thinking their app is Merlin and making $$ off of you. The app isn’t great either, it doesn’t use your location so it was suggesting birds that are over 2000 miles away. Find the real Merlin and don’t give this app your time or money!

   Useless unless you pay. I downloaded this “free” app. But then discovered that you must pay per month or annually in order to use it. Scam since that page allows you to pick pay rate, but no way to cancel and remove. And, I can’t find a button to cancel anywhere. Not sure if it will charge me . . . going to remove app, but will fight if there are charges.

    Doesn’t work. I downloaded based on my sister’s recommendation. Neither she nor I can get to the sound recognition part of the app on my iPhone, but it works fine on her iPhone. There does not seem to be a straightforward way to get to anything directly useful. Maybe they redesigned the app, the easy-to-access items are tutorials on where to put a bird feeder, etc.

    Not user friendly!. I am not enjoying the app. I have made mistakes when adding to my collections and I can’t edit or change . There are no directions on or explanations on how to use the features. I want my money back.

    Promoted app. I downloaded this app intending to get a different one that had been recommended by friends, and paid for the annual subscription. This one doesn’t work well at all by comparison, and was identifying birds definitely not present. It seemed to be rendered ineffective by people talking nearby. The free app was identifying the surrounding birds accurately under the same conditions. I’m very disappointed.

    Useless. Tried multiple times over different days to use this and it never once actually recorded anything. Just said it did, told me it was loading, and gave me no recording.

    Identify bird songs.. Does not identify birds correctly. I am very disappointed and want to cancel my subscription. I can not find a way to cancel. Do not install this bogus app.

    Don’t waste your money. I’m an amateur bird watcher and was excited to match up the sound with the birds around me. After using this on five different birds, where the recording was clear, four of the five identified birds from different continents from me. I’m pretty sure the fifth bird was incorrect also, but I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt. I don’t believe there’s any accuracy at all to the application.

    SoundID. Sound ID does not identify correctly compared to Merlin ID from Cornell. I accidentally downloaded this app and paid for yearly subscription…what a big mistake!

    Does not work and you can’t get a refund. I got it by mistake looking for Merlin, tried it several times times. Sometimes did not get any responses, one time got a incorrect response. Canceled but can’t get a refund.

    South American birds in Australia?. On a trip to Australia I downloaded this app because the Merlin app only knows about 30-40% of the birds here. This app identified sounds but must be incorrect because the birds identified do not appear to be in Australia. Merlin worked great for the sounds it knows

    bait & switch beware!. This app is in the same ”field” on the page as Merlin I thought I was downloading Merlin but it was this instead. Turns out Merlin is free, but this expensively is not. Be careful!
