   Scammy app refuses to cancel subscription. I have been on the app, on my laptop, and emailed support. There is literally no option to cancel. I’ve Googled it and read support articles and tried on different days in case I somehow missed something the first day. “Support” got back to me in days with either a bot answer or a very stupid human saying merely “We think you’re looking for our app! Here’s our link!” and nothing else. This is a scam, it is slimy, and they are committing fraud. Emailed them again. If the support I got an email from was human, I hope she gets fired. I don’t even know what to do now. Also, they update the app CONSTANTLY so you can’t even plan to use this unless you’re always data- and battery-ready for a gigantic update. Or feel like waiting for it to update for 5 minutes when you just want to play it and drive/go to sleep.

   Price. You shouldn’t have to pay to listen to the bible it should be free for anyone that wants to learn more about the bible and listen without needing to pay for words that should be free when it comes to reading the bible or listening

   Meaningful. I’ve been listening to Dwell daily devotions for almost a year. It is a very thoughtful and meaningful way for me to grow spiritually. I love the choices to read along with my KJV bible and listen to different thoughts and exhortations on scripture. It is one of the most complete and versatile apps I’ve ever used. I can read along at my desk, listen while driving, calm my thoughts while trying to fall asleep and many more ways to enjoy Dwell. I highly recommend it and have shared if with many.

   Very Clunky. This is a really horrible app. All I want to do is make a list of verses that I want to memorize but the app is just so clunky and difficult. I should have just stuck with Hallow

   Disappointed. After reading reviews, I really wanted to experience this app. I need an app to aid in daily Bible reading and study, and I was excited to try the sleep Bible feature. Being given only a week as a free trial before having to pay makes me sad. The reviews made it seem some features could be used freely without a time limit, but I could not find that option. As a disabled person who is unable to work, I have very little discretionary income. While this app is not horribly priced it is more than I can pay. I’ll have to go back to YouVersion since their app is free.

   This Isn’t what Jesus would’ve wanted.. It gives you a free trial but after that, $59.99 a year. The bible app has a free one (I just found that out) but having to pay to listen to the bible is outrageous. Some people listen to the bible because it’s easier for them to process than reading it, but this app completely takes advantage of it.

    Latest update is garbage. Everything loads slowly. I use Dwell Daily a lot and I like looking at the series to choose past Dailies. This new update doesn’t load ANY of the previous dailies at all. The update should’ve actually organized the dailies by month for easier review of past dailies. What a garbage update!

    Have to Pay. No one should have to pay to read the word or even listen to an audio bible when there are a lot of sources out there when you can listen to it for free. I loved it so much but then after three days it was asking to pay. A simple Bible we can get from any store for $5-$10 dollars. The same you can do for audio books. But $59 yearly? That’s crazy.

    Price. I know it’s a business at the end of the day, but people are out there in other countries who get killed for just having a Bible and here we are charging 200$ ( I know there’s other prices) for the word. People have to sneak pages of the Bible just to read it because they can be killed or jailed, and here in America we make a business out of the word. Crazy…

    Cost $200. An app that cost $200 is insane. video games with 60hours plus or like 3 days of gameplay cost $60 and that has so many people working on it. If they can afford to price their games at $60 I’m pretty sure this app can as well for one time purchase

    Bug when listening through a plan. There is a bug when listening through a plan where it does not play the next section/chapter but replays from where you last started. It’s annoying to realize that what you are hearing is repeat and you have fidget around the player to manually select the proper next track. Seeing this on the straight through year reading plan.

    Music will not play over HomePod. The FAQ answer regarding the issue of Airplay only playing voices contains the statement, "we have yet to find a solution for our audio engine without having to completely rebuild it." This is not an acceptable answer. A paid subscription service which uses music integration as one of its primary functions has an obligation to make sure it functions properly on the most common ways the app would be used. Apple Airplay to HomePods is a highly common listening tool. Lack of functionality through this medium is an application flaw. If such a flaw kept the voice segment of the audio from playing over bluetooth, the company would not rest until a solution was found. Refusing to do the necessary work to fix this issue unjustly penalizes Apple customers. Unless this issue gets addressed, I cannot recommend this app nor will I be renewing my subscription. In fact I’m contemplating asking for a refund since the app is not functioning as promised.

    Disappointed. I have done the Bible recap several years in a row. (Free may I add.) I was looking for something new. I’m not impressed. The Bible plan on Dwell I chose repeated itself several times. Why read Matthew, Psalms, etc twice for a year plan? Plus, there’s no further study or commentary after each day. Not worth $60 a year. I’m going back to the free Bible app thank you.

    No watch app, terrible CarPlay. Just really missing the technology mark. Yes, it’s a great bible reader. But where you may really want to be able to control that, is maybe out on a run with your watch, (can’t do it it) or in your car (severely limited). For a company wanting to explore Bible reading and technology, it seems like they quit.

    Can’t open. The app can’t open and crashes upon attempting to foreground. Please fix it is unfortunate to pay for a service you’re unable to access.

    Biblical figures affect imagination. The biblical figures paintings negatively affect my imagination suggesting the real people in the Bible looked according to the treasured body visuals of our milieu. They are anachronistic and Dwell has not provided its users with the option to toggle them off from the intro pages of each book of the Bible. Despite once you start listening, those images are no longer able to be seen, the damage is done to the imagination while you listen and it is hard to not imagine someone else just like if I say pink elephant, it will affect your imagination to see such. Once Dwell removes or provides the option to toggle off, I will revert to the 5 stars this app deserves. This change was too intrusive to lifetime users.

    iPhone Air or ios26. The app is broken on either the iPhone Air or ios26. Frustrating since it’s a paid app. Update 10/8/25: App still will not work with iPhone Air and/or iOS 26.

    Very misleading, being charged but only get “Free” content. My Apple account says I am being charged $7.99 per month. However my app profile says I have a free account and it won’t let me access any of the paid content. So I am being charged and not getting any of the paid content.
