   Used to be great. The new app is linking far too much personal information. My family is not allowed to download it or use it. Thoroughly app was not nearly so invasive. A simple web search on Thru The Bible. Also try to link to my phone, preventing me from downloading, free booklets and Resources. Something has changed and we are no longer able to use vernon mcgee’s resources on our cell phones because of this. … I’m back to the bookcases and old recordings on my desktop. Too bad the app is demanding so much private information. it’s sad to say goodbye, after listening to vernon mcgee since 1981

   This app keeps getting worse and worse. Update: Truly sad that TTB has caved to the growing anti-privacy and insecure practices that social media is promoting. I have supported this ministry for years, but that is unfortunately ending until common sense returns to the board. How can anyone view the privacy policy if they have no way to view it? Clicking on anything other than the donate link on the website just returns you to the app store. Seems greed has finally captured the hearts of this ministry. Truly sad and I am sure McGee would not approve at all?! 😞 Update: First off I need to state that the poor review does not reflect my view of the organization as a whole... I have listened and supported this ministry off and on since the early 80s, and very much enjoy McGee's content. With that said, the app is still broken. Content does not load, and the business decisions being made have forced me back to listening to the radio... I am a bit more knowledgable than the average user, having worked in IT since before the Internet was public and currently supporting literally 100s of online companies, it is obvious to me that TTB has been influenced by the deceptive marketing and analytics side of the Internet. Understand while you may not think you are collecting personal information, the use of beacons to record access, requiring a login, along with a record of an IP is enough to positively identify anyone. And how you store that information is important, because when you get hacked (not if, but when... it is happening every minute in the fortune 500 space, how much are you spending on security?) the information you store will become public almost immediately. Most people do not even understand the cell carriers and ISPs are selling their data both as aggregate, and individually for marketing purposes. All you need is a single line from an DNS log accessing a web beacon to associate a name with a domain. I might provide a positive review if you remove the account requirement to access content. The app appeared to break when that was implemented, and along with the new extensions for webkit to block beacons and anonymize connections in iOS 15+, this has the app unusable with any kind of online security enabled. I do thank TTB for the reply finally, but unfortunately, nothing has changed for this user. :( --- The content does not seem to load on iPhone SE running iOS 15.6. The Daily card at the top of the page never loads. The Question and Answers and Sunday Sermon cards load, but when clicked it reads 0 of 0 complete with no content loaded in the list. This was happening intermittent before, but now it is happening everytime the app runs. I have tried deleting the app and reinstalling on two identical phones and it does not resolve the issue. I hope the developers can figure it out. UPDATE: It seems to be related to the developers allowing the mining of personal info by requiring an account. This really saddens me. Such a great app before all the analytics and privacy violations were added. I guess it is back to recording it off the radio. The ethics of this app is not Christian... I hope TTB will educate themselves regarding technology, and not cave to the worlds deceptive online practices.

   Changes to TTB online. Well I tried to go online for McGee’s version on Ezekiel 4:7 discovering I need a dog gone app! Clicked and then BILLED! Whoa there fella. I personal meet McGee ‘76 Park of Pines and have followed and supported the program far before ttb began keep records! I don’t like this change. Now I’ll go and open one of the McGee 5 books. Disappointed in the change. Somewhat like Christian valves and doctrine. It all slides downhill.

   Content is wonderful! Can’t access it half the time!. I love Dr. McGee! But no matter how many times they update or change this app, it winds up too buggy to use. They need to hire the best programmers to make this app work smoothly. I’m going to have to delete it and reload it all over again for the umpteenth time.

   They fixed what wasn’t broken. There have been several versions of this app, sadly, this is the worst. It simply contains too much to choose from. I’m forced to load the app twice daily (load, delete, reload) because the first attempt refuses to work. I’ve tried deleting then reloading to no avail.

    Latest update?. After updating to the latest version the app no longer works on my iPhone XR. Tried deleting the app and reinstalling, same result. The starts and then immediately quits. I can’t even make it to the Home Screen. I would rather have the previous version again it worked.

    New update not working. I have listened on the app for years and love it, however for the last two days I haven’t been able to open the app. It starts to open and then returns to my Home Screen. I have an Apple phone. Right now I am listening through podcasts. I am praying that the app starts working again soon

    2.1 won’t open. Since the 2.1 update came out the app doesn’t run at all. I have a iPhone 12 Pro. I closed all other apps and just did a fresh reboot of the phone and when I try to launch through the Bible, the screen looks like the app will start, but it goes back to home screen and that is all. I have the latest iOS 18.5.

    Doesn’t work. Ever since the major overhaul of the app it doesn’t work. I haven’t been able to listen to the daily talks on the verses I am on. It is just a blank screen and I can’t select which book of the Bible I am currently studying in order to access the recording. It also does not keep track of my progress so o have to start from scratch and search for my spot each time. Frustrating!

    Old version was fabulous, update is almost unusable.. Loved this app, always logged in using my Apple login. In the update, that is no longer available, I’m unable to login with any other email, get constant login errors, and lost all of my progress. So disappointed.

    Agree with Nightonix. Everything that Nightonix mentioned in their review is absolutely correct. I have every one of those issues as well as added frustration and confusion. Please, please, please fix this app!

    Sound is broken. As soon as phone shuts off screen to save power, the app stops. Other apps with sound keep playing. Makes the app unusable unless I want the phone battery drained by disabling auto lock feature.

    Recent update. Downloaded the most recent update and lost all of my study. It will not allow me to log in using my Apple ID that I had used before the update and had no problem with the app keeping track of my study. So I decided to start over and created a new login. Started with the guidelines and listened to 3 of them. It showed I had completed the 3. Went back the next day and my progress was not saved under the new login. Really enjoyed the app before the most recent update.

    Hymns. Every lesson that I open is a hymn. No lesson just a hymn the same one for every "lesson". So disappointing. I love to listen on the radio the Thru the Bible, but this app just is messed up.

    Progress doesn’t save. No matter what you do it won’t save. Impossible to know what lecture you have completed and where you need to start next time to log in. Great content but the developers have totally failed to test before publishing this app. TTB should demand their money back from whoever they paid to develop this.

    TTB App. Cannot login, this looks like a continuous problem. Removed app and reloaded several times. I have an account but can never get past login. Was a great app, now just can even get the word from it. What happened?

    App doesn’t work at all for me. Am I doing something wrong? I’m on an iPhone 12 and I get an error with every type of login. I can’t get to any content at all. None. Sometimes I get just a blank screen and have to close the app. I love TTB and would love this app to work.

    Awkward. Not good.. I used the previous app and loved it. New app is disappointing. It was never equal to the previous app but now it doesn’t even work. App will launch but will not play daily broadcasts. Archived segments are likewise inaccessible. This problem has occurred on multiple prior occasions but after two or three days it would again start working. It’s now been non-functional for several days. Still not working. App is worthless. Previous app didn’t have as many bells and whistles (which are mostly unneeded and unused) as the new app, but it worked flawlessly. Why was it discontinued and replaced? I don’t want to abandon the Bible Bus but unless the new app gets fixed I’ll have to leave.
