   Sinful and Greedy Paywall. They’re slowly placing every feature behind a paywall. Soon you’ll have to pay $20 a month just to read the Bible. Why do I have to pay for the Daily Meditation now? They’ve ruined their app, you’re much better off finding an app created for the purpose of spreading the Good Word, not for the purpose of making money.

   Taking more money. Loved the app until they just put even the daily meditation reading behind a pay wall. I’m sure more is to come. It’s just another money grab now

   Difficulty. Great resources but, I have found it difficult to get around as well as the people that I have suggested follow the Lent program that I’m on with Father Colombia Jordan. Sometimes it’s hard to find him sometimes one has to wait for things to show up or other things get sent to you that you may not want like all this buying and selling of material and all these other prophetic voices that may indeed be wonderful, but I am interested in one person right now and not being flooded going through pages to find the correct site. What I have recommended it to my friends they give up, trying to find it and sent her around the one thing. It’s too much of a great thing which makes it not very good to get around..

   Cannot Contact to Cancel. I no longer use this app, since I find another Catholic app more useful to me. However, I was charged $64 for my annual renewal, but when I tried to cancel that charge and get a refund, there is no way to contact Ascension to do so.

   Disappointed. This is not designed for the hearing impaired. There are free programs out there that are. No printed guides available but took my money anyway. Disappointing on Several levels.

   Disheartening. I bought the Cruz journal thinking I could watch the videos and participate with the journal. I am surprised to find I cannot watch the videos without signing up for the app. $60 a year Unfortunately I cannot afford that. I truly feel duped. The journal itself was expensive.

   Pay to use. What is offered to me to use on this app has to be paid for. I already pay for a catholic app that I enjoy. I’m not willing to pay for two.

   Access. I was eager to start the bible in a year with Father Mike but the first 4 or 5 texts that I opened displayed a page saying that this was not a secure page. It wasn’t until this text that I was able to access content. Can you provide instructions for what to do if the problem persists?

    Inaccessibility for blind. This app is not accessible for blind people using voiceover.

    Super Buggy. This is the best Catholic content provider I have ever supported. It is also the must infuriating app i have ever purchased. Bible in a year constantly loses its sequential order, the repeating the same episodes over and over. “We are sorry, there was an error….”, constantly pops up when “Waiting Well” fails to load (day 3)

    SIKE. Actually love the app, it’s helped me greatly in my return to the church about a year ago. However I literally haven’t been able to open the app for days now and there’s no update or anything and as far as I can tell no other way to sign in. I’ve been attending the TLM for a month or so and wondering if this is God telling me to continue down that path and to follow the Tridentine Liturgy as well

    Misleading. I have a monthly recurring donation made to the app, and every time I want to sign up for something I have to pay extra so I rarely use the app. However, if I join for an annual fee (of less than what I’ve been donating), I have full access to the app. How does this make sense? I would like to change this but seem to be locked into where I initially joined.

    Unhappy with customer care. I already had the app and thought I was clicking to listen to the Litany of The Sacred Heart. I was apparently clicking to subscribe to the app. I had already downloaded the app through the Hallow app to listen to the Bible in a year podcast. I had no idea I was subscribing to Ascension. I’ve all but begged for a refund and continue to be denied. I can’t afford to pay for the Hallow app and the Ascension app. If you need customer service or support, I’d consider a different app.

    Frequent failure to open app. I have had to delete and reinstall several times and each time I have to spend several hours clicking on each media podcast that I’ve already heard to get to day 150 for example!! It is so frustrating! And no support was given when asking for help!!

    It’s never worked ❝Properly❞. I was a subscriber since day 1 when there were more bugs than a farm but i stuck it out and it got better, then apple released an iOS update and suddenly i couldn’t log into the app anymore and when I finally got it fixed I’d lost all my progress. Next update, same. Last update, I canceled. I’m sticking with hallow even if I have to go check the words they use because they seem to have their very own Bibles.

    Esther. I really like this Bible, however some of the chapter’s verse are missing. Ex-Esther ch2, only has verses 1-6 and it really has 1-23. So delete the app, not sure what other information is missing.

    Pay is not worth it. I subscribed for a year and I enjoyed it, but did not renew. Ascension’s app is locked down pretty hard and they are constantly trying to get you to buy premium. The support is terrible and when they get back to you they are defensive and dismissive. They offer perks to Catholic influencers but if you are just an average person looking for help they are not very pleasant and not helpful at all. They need to put money into support and customer service.

    Order placing. I have tried for two days to place an order on the phone and cannot stay online waiting for someone to answer for a half hour and then being told that the queue is full two times now and not have a call back

    Login has bugs. Password is not syncing across devices.. I also cannot get airplay to work from the app to mirror content to apple tv.. I love Fr Mike’s programs but….

    Can do better. My #1 complaint is that the functionality to share Bible verses is pretty bad. My other apps let me pick font and text size and have a way larger selection of images and they are free. All the images I share from this app look identical. Surely you can include the marketing and also let people be more creative. This is a big deal because if people can’t make beautiful images to post maybe they just won’t.

    Price. I think limiting this to adults with money is wrong for many reasons. There are kids who might want to access and can’t because they don’t have permission from a guardian. There are people who are poor and/or don’t have credit cards. Fr Mike gets so much funding from YouTube alone, where is that money going? The church pays for priests shelter, food, vehicles… but you have to pay to access the features in this app? It doesn’t seem right. It should be donation based, if the money is truly needed. Or put religious ads on for the people unable to pay, that way the ads pay for the $10/mo instead.

    Frustrating how this App works. The content of this app is amazing, and God bless you all, you are providing outstanding and much needed education, but this app, UGH, it has always been extremely frustrating to navigate and get things to work. I’m a computer programmer, I’m old school, and the logic makes no sense. If I want to go back and listen to previous content, it’s impossible, you can’t go backward without a whole rigamarole. It’s more tedious than it needs to be. I don’t care for the icon driven platforms for this reason, it’s a mess. I spent a lot of time in settings trying to find where to reset things, and I did, but it would be helpful to not have these previously listened to check boxes blocking you from going back, just let us click a back arrow. Thank you

    BIY/CIY are more difficult to scroll through episodes than any other app. I have been participating daily in BIY and CIY. I have been bookmarking episodes for the upcoming week or so for a while to minimize the amount of scrolling through episodes to find my place. When I scroll, seemingly no matter how careful I am, I either land on the previous screen and have to start over or inadvertently mark episodes as complete. Is there a setting that can make this workable? I’m on episode 145 on each and scrolling through to bookmark more episodes is becoming more and more unbearable.

    No closed captioning. Need closed captioning for those who are hard of hearing for the videos. Also, Spanish needs to be added as well.
