   Terrible. It’s so user unfriendly that every time I come back to it I have to research how to do this or that task. With Logos, on the other hand, it’s always quite intuitive where stuff is and how to do things. I regret having spent so much money on Accordance. Choose Logos, friends, and save yourselves lots of headaches.

   Sync issues, no tech support. It’s been years (and a few updates) since I could edit a note on an iOS device. With the update of the desktop version of Accordance, multiple users, myself included, report that it is no longer possible to sync the iOS and desktop apps. It was announced in advance that sync with Dropbox would no longer be available with Accordance 14, but nothing else works either. Tech support is poor.

   Glitchy. Ditches Dropbox for “Accordance sync” with 50 MB limit on total data size. My notes are much larger. I suspect a subscription is coming. Wifi sync doesn’t work for one reason or another. I’ve lost hours trying to unbrick my app.

   Not for MAC Don’t bother to download. This shows up in the APP store for my MAC BOOK PRO, but it doesn’t work. It just displays the EULA and sits there. No menu option can allow you to clear the display of the EULA. Sad as this was commented that it works on a MAC. Nope, try Olive Tree, but Olive Tree won’t let you copy search results in totality to Word, you have to do it one result by one. Some suggest Logos, I haven’t tried that yet.

   After All of These Years Why Are We Still Having to Write Code to do Tagged Searches??!!. Accordance is an app full of potential. Unfortunately, it often feels like the developers haven’t stopped to think through the obvious. Accordance surpasses Logos in one major area its ability to perform Greek and Hebrew tagged searches. Yet for some reason, the mobile experience still feels unnecessarily complicated. Instead of streamlining these searches for quick, intuitive use, it still requires users to type in awkward code-like syntax something most people aren’t trained to do. For a team dedicated to developing Bible study software, it’s surprising that such an obvious improvement hasn’t yet been made.

   Several bugs have rendered essential features useless.. I was a fan of Accordance despite its many quirks until recently. The code for the HTML in the newest update does not correctly interpret curly quotes or apostrophes. This seems like a small detail until you realize its implications. Any title in your library with an apostrophe cannot be chosen in the settings. This includes two very essential texts: Strong's Greek and Hebrew dictionaries. It is impossible to correctly copy as a citation utilizing curly quotes. To my knowledge this has never been a problem in the past and it has worked flawlessly. However this recent update has rendered the app useless for my use case. Hope this is improved in a future update as I did enjoy this bible software.

   Stole my money. Bought the NKJV with Strongs, said it downloaded it, and alas, nowhere to be found. I know this app hasn’t been updated in about a year, but don’t sell modules if they don’t work.

    Not able to set up an account. Not sure why, but after 3 attempts to set up an account Accord said they ran into an issue setting up an account but they do not provide any way to further trouble shoot a issue nor do they provide a place to change your password incase you forget.

    Can’t create an account. I downloaded the software but can’t create an account. I constantly get a pop up message that says, “There was a problem creating your account “. I hope this gets fixed soon because I was really looking forward to exploring and using this software! If the issue does get fixed and I’m able to create and use my account, I will definitely come back and change my review, but for now, I have no other choice but to give it the honest rating that I did! ☹️

    Probably good, but. Just getting logged into the app was a chore, and once in I tried to restore my purchases in the store just to be told I wasn’t logged in. So I logged out and logged back in to be told the same thing again. Disappointing.

    Cannot Login. I use the exact username and password that I use on Windows only to be told that the username or password is invalid when using the app. The app is useless to me if I cannot login.

    😡Extreme Complications!. ***Review update: We FINALLY found a much hidden place within the Accordance app to update our LSB version. LSB and Accordance app are both ran on the OakTree software which has an extremely cumbersome way of updating and navigating to the place in which to do so is extremely difficult as it’s hard to locate. Much is very complicated regarding these simple matters compared to every other app we’ve used. The fact that these Bible version updates are not automatically updated within the Apple App Store system is absolutely ridiculous and frustrating!!!😡 The most despicable part of all of this is that we still cannot update our LSB apps.😡 We want to only have the LSB app and not be forced to use the Accordance app in order to read the Legacy Standard Bible. Why is OakTree and Accordance only allowing updates to the LSB on the accordance app only installed of the actual LSB app??!! This is NOT RIGHT!! 😡 The creators of the new LSB and Publisher will be contacted regarding this matter of forcing people to use the Accordance app over the LSB. Shame on you OakTree and Accordance!! The previous review below regarding the personal data requirements along with all of the ridiculous steps and frustration regarding this matter still stands. Original Review: Originally we had to download this Accordance app in which we do not want but had to, in order to be able to download the Legacy Standard Bible app. That in of itself is very disappointing however, we went ahead and did so to get the LSB. It required setting up an account with the typical standard information (name, email and password) in which each we did. We had to receive emails and follow instructions within in order to finally get the LSB app on our iOS devices. That was a pain in the behind but, we managed it. The original release of the LSB only had the New Testament plus Psalms and Proverbs. Later the LSB completed their translation of the Old Testament and had released the complete Bible. We’ve been wondering why there hadn’t been any updates located within the app’s settings or hadn’t been sent any info to our email addresses regarding updating the app to receive the entire Bible in complete with the OT and NT. Today we finally looked into how to receive the update for the complete LSB. There is no information anywhere on LSB app or website, 316 Publishing, Accordance app or their website on how to update/upgrade our version of the LSB app in order to get the OT added. Extremely frustrating!!😤 So, we decided that we might need to simply download the app again so we headed over to the Accordance website to start a new download. Here’s where it gets really upsetting. Even though this is free, accordance requires you to do this as a shopping experience and add it to the cart- stupid but, we did that. Then upon trying to check out, this process through Accordance requires billing and shipping addresses along with other personal info. What?? Why?!! Why would they require this information (billing address) for something that does not cost and why would they require this personal private information for a product that is not physical or requiring shipment to a physical address? This is ABSOLUTELY OBSURD and NONE OF US ARE WILLING TO DO THAT!! 😡 They do NOT need to collect that info from us for ANY purpose!! That would be linking our online info (online identity, presence, activity) to our true physical and financial information. THAT IS DATA MINING and WE ARE NOT ALLOWING THIS!!!🤨 So, we tried one last attempt by seeing if we could log into our original account that only required a user name, first and last name (chose alias) to sign up the first time. We were successfully able to log in with our original log-in info. We noticed that our account, under profile, had only that simple info from the beginning which is good. So, while logged in, we began searching for something regarding the LSB update, thinking there’d be an alert message or something under our account but, that failed as well. Then we decided to try one last time to start the process of adding the LSB to the dang cart and check out. Once again we were met with it requiring all of the new additional private personal info of actual mailing/billing/physical addresses and numbers therefore this was a dead end for all of us. 😖😣 THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!!🤨 We will keep our original, incomplete version of the LSB app. All of us will also be DELETING our Accordance app and will NOT be downloading anything ever again from or through Accordance!!! THESE ACTIONS BY ACCORDANCE ARE NOT THAT OF CHRISTIAN BEHAVIOR. THEIR DEEDS ARE DATA GREEDY AND COMPROMISING TO FELLOW CHRISTIANS. THIS IS NOT RIGHT!! We will be looking into contacting all of the other companies that are involved with the LSB and relay our experiences with Accordance and seek a solution and also request that they sign on with a variety of different companies with integrity regarding electronic delivery and availability of the LSB app. Those in accordance or the tree that have imposed these burdens are committing shameful deeds.

    Organizing folders is extremely Buggy!!!. In most ways Accordance is phenomenal but trying to organize folders and modules can be impossible because it will not correctly nest them where you tell it too. I wasted hours trying different strategies to work around its bugs. Also synchronization is garbage and almost always fails, apparently in part because of bugs related to the location of modules.

    Don’t like new app icon. First of all, I love everything about the actual app. It is a wonderful blessing and so helpful for diving into the word. However, recently the beautiful brown and orange logo was replaced with a white and red logo that is truly revolting to my eyes. On the Mac desktop, I was able to change the app icon back to the old one (thankfully I saved the PNG of the old logo). However, I cannot do that with iPhone and it just bothers me so much. Could you please change the logo back or at least provide a setting to choose between them? Thanks!

    Horrible New Logo. The long-standing logo that's just been replaced was very nice, and fitting. The cartoony logo replacing it now is pretty unsightly. I love everything else about Accordance and have used it for many, many years now - so I appreciate the app itself very much. Not trying to come across too flippantly, just, I'm a graphic designer airing an opinion.

    App and website don’t correlate well. I can’t log in to this app using my password from the website. When creating a password on the website, it’s requirements are no less than 12 characters (it will not save with anything less) and gives you a weak/strong meter that you have to pass before it will save but the app will not accept anything more than 6 characters and will not accept any special characters. (This apparently is a known problem as its in their FAQ pages in their website.) After resetting my password many times and trying to find one that will satisfy both the website and the app I GIVE UP!! Hopefully they can get this fixed.

    Search gets you stuck in an endless loop!. The search function works fine... until you want to get back to the text!!! Then you find yourself stuck in an endless loop. Even if you force quit, you can’t get out of the search results. And the online support and help files are useless. Very, very frustrating!!

    Learning. Will be a serious in congregational services. Have a good working knowledge of Apple greatly aids one (from personal experience having been a PC user). This is not easy, referencing is non-apparent. I own Version 13 but this mind-boggling and states 4+. I have used pc’s and now have apple products, a large learning curve, very large. Just figuring what must be done next, akin to learning code only difference is locating starting point on iPad. Nothing to get from one function to the next one.

    Access to resources.. There isn’t enough free material. I just want to study the word of God without having to pay for EVERYTHING. Everyone is not a well off pastor/minister with unlimited resources. It’s almost like they tease you with the ESVi knowing it’s not popular to get you try the app and then get you to buy everything else you’ll actually use. It’s not fair. At least the NKJV FREE??!!
