   Great content but can’t auto advance. I like to listen, but impossible to use hands free. I want the option to play continuously in order to catch up or to listen to more, but the reading for the day ends and assumes I don’t want more. It requires too much hands on attention, so I often have to use another app. Please have an auto play option to reduce frustration. Sometimes we want to hear more!

   Frustration with this app. I have done everything I can, and nobody is speaking when I play this. I have deleted the app and reinstalled the app. I have checked my volume. I have to turn my phone off and on three times. I am so frustrated. I am never going to listen to this app again.

   Not sound doctrine. I loved the idea of this app, but its filled with messages that are misguided and not aligned with context. Six months in and I am ready to start over somewhere else. 1) Narrator makes frequent claims to his own ministry (Alpha) claiming how awesome it is and all of the work it does- this should be off putting with any ministry. He also frequently references Joyce Meyer, Rick Warren, etc who are known heretics (see “Charismatic church”) in similar fashion to the Hillsong stuff. And its not once or twice. Its at LEAST once per week if not more. 2) The narrator seems to have very loose doctrine often glossing over entire lessons in the Bible after it was just read. Instead of breaking down the context and interpreting what sinners often do not want to hear, he will divert to “love, love, love” instead of speaking the true message. The narrator’s messages have obvious liberal undertones. 3) the app does automatically go back to the place you left off if you miss a day or two. The app will continue on as if you did those days. Folks not paying attention could end up missing entire sections of the Bible. The app should instead only put check marks on the actual progress instead of going off the phone’s calendar. If you do decide to still use this app, have a reference text out as well as a comparison such as the Blue Letter Bible to conduct your own study.

   Not true to scripture. I was really enjoying this app until I got to the part about Sodom and Gamorrah. The author stated “we don’t know the exact reason why it was so evil,” and never once mentioned homosexuality. I understand while there were multiple reasons the city was destroyed, that was a big reason and as a Christian, it’s our job to teach the Word according to scripture. It was a huge disappointment and let down to see such a great app turn out to be watering down the truth about the Bible.

   I can’t get it to play. Suddenly there is no audible version. It won’t play at all.I have deleted it and redownloaded it and it is still silent.

   Make the text larger. I’d give it a five star review if you just make it so we can increase the size of the text. for us that are seeing impaired it would be nice to change the size of the text so that we could read along. I love what you have to say I just want to be able to see what’s been said is that too much to ask?

    Update. The update to this app is horrible. Whatever you did to the audio it is like the readers want to get it over with as quickly as possible, I see no way to slow the voices down. Not prayerful at all.

    Developers. Please add the shares feedback for the devotions and also please add back all of the original progress and also the click to view Bible passages back. The new update breaks so much good things and adds so many unnecessary things. ITS A GREAT APP but pleaseeee and don’t cut off the old versions that’s not nice ,/

    Yikes! What a horrible “upgrade”!. I used to be able to read whatever book at my own speed. I was in the middle of 1 Kings. Now I can’t go back and listen to June! Why do you want to stop people from reading and listening at their own pace?? I also lost all my records of what I had read! Please give users the option of using the old interface. What a disaster. I was also reading Jeremiah. Is there really no way to hear the Jeremiah commentaries?? Not online? Not anywhere???

    The New app is faulty. Unfortunately, with this app it freezes when I am midway through a session. It also does not allow me to easily move back and forth throughSessions that I have missed. I was probably three months in and I turned my phone on and off, and when I went back to the Bible app it started me from the very very very beginning. I cannot shuffle throughTo where I left off before. So now I have lost three months worth of sessions. I am very disappointed with his Bible app. When I used it last year it was fine. But now with this new updated app it has more problems. The benefits are not thereFor me anymore. I have given up. I am looking for another app that is more user-friendly and easy to navigate and doesn’t freeze up or start you back from the beginning.

    Impossible to use!. User unfriendly! There is no way to look at the whole list or go back to listen to the previous one repeatedly. I often pick my favourite ones to listen to, and that doesn’t work. Whoever did the app new design must be fired. I know it is un Christian thing to say, but the new app is a Christian repellent.

    Seems they hired the wrong developer for this new version... Really destroyed the functionality in so many ways. Start over, pattern the function on the old app, and get it right. You’ve had enough time since launching this miserable “upgrade”. It seriously distracts from the message and the mission.

    So disappointed!!!!. I started this app in January of last year and loved it. I had bought enough special journals to go thru the entire Bible with you. At the end of May, I stopped to focus on other studies with my women’s group, fully intending to return. I have now returned to find that the entire app has changed, my place has been lost and I have no idea how to continue with the new format. I loved, with the old format, that I could look at any day I chose, and it would mark my exact place in whatever day I was studying. I deeply regret that I cannot see a way to continue. I found your insights to the Bible were very helpful in understanding the scriptures and the prayers laced throughout the study to be very meaningful to me.

    Poor function. Tried this app sometime ago. Didn’t work well. Halfway through year it automatically started back at Jan 1. Could not get it or company to rectify issue. Tried app again this year. Unfortunately it didn’t take long to do the same thing again.

    New version. I enjoyed listening to the Bible and follow along with the daily readings, the new version has made it very difficult and is not as user friendly. If you miss a day or two there is no easy way to go back and listen to past reading without all the hassle of removing the app and reinstalling also if you want to change from the classic version to the youth version there is not button to go back so again you have to uninstall. I which they offered the old version better, it was super ez and no hassle. I will not be using this app until they can fix it and make more user friendly.

    Ruined a Great Bible Reading App. New 2021 version takes away any flexibility and wants to control you. I've been using BIOY for the last year and a half as an organized whole-Bible reading plan. I started at the end of July but wanted to start my readings at the beginning of the Bible. That was easily accommodated with the old version. I simply downloaded all the days and started with the January 1 reading. The app kept track of what days I had read, so if I missed a day I could either catch up or just fall a day behind. Imagine my shock and disappointment when the app automatically updated in January of 2021 and lost my place, but also prevented me from recovering it. Now the app basically forces you to read only what is available that day, or you're out of luck. I was 10 days from completing the Bible and now I have to reconstruct my place from memory so I can finish my complete reading of the Bible. What a disappointment. The app has commentary that reads like a devotional, rather than an in-depth commentary but is very well done (at least the old version was). It leans very heavily on Eugene Peterson's "The Message" which is a helpful paraphrase of the Bible. However, I could never recommend it to someone who has the goal of reading the whole Bible because there is no flexibility now. What a shame. I'm sure Nicky has his reasons. Just count me as a disappointed former user. I've read the entire Bible twice before, outside my group Bible study, using different organized reading plans and I will return to those methods for my next reading.

    New version mistake. I’ve read BIOY for 6-7 years. I’m disappointed in the new format. I’m not sure what I’ve read and haven’t yet. It’s a little confusing. I admit I was looking forward to some changes just because I’ve done the same thing so many years but this was not an improvement.

    So Sad. I love the Bible in One Year and was so excited to start again today (1/1/2021). In past years I would have rated the app 5 stars, but today I opened the app to get started and it is not working. I finally figured out how to open up the readings from the home page after several minutes and several attempts. Once I was able to open it, I was curious about the express version, so I wanted to see that. I selected that plan so that I could view it but want to participate in the classic version. I tried to find the settings page to switch plans, but again it took several minutes and several attempts to figure out that I needed to swipe the screen to the right. There is nothing that indicates that is what needs to be done. Once I figured that out, I opened the settings to change my plan and it froze. I cannot change to the plan I want to use. The app froze. As I mentioned previously, I absolutely love using The Bible in One Year app. Today would begin my fourth year, and thankfully I can still access the plan on the Bible app. That said, the updated app is not intuitive and is not working on my iPhone 11 with the latest software update as of 1/1/2021. Please, please repair the bugs and restore the app to its former glory. I’d love to continue to use the app and change my rating to 5 stars.

    Stopped in January. I was reading daily until devotions stopped downloading. January 28 never showed on my app. I just wasted 27 days with this devotional, but i still got my time with the word and our Lord.
