   Bad. I’m so disappointed I really wanted to use it but it does not pick up my guitar for some reason and I’m in a quite room only sound is my guitar yet it does not pick it up

   New update ruined it. I used to love the simplicity of the app and how I could play past the 12th fret. Not I can’t and my mic stops working g if I adjust the settings. The bots also take longer to appear than the voice announced, things I did t worry about before

   40 dollars for unlocking the app.... 40 dollars is too high of an ask for this basic of an app. Or you can do a monthly payment, like every other app asks for nowadays. Monthly payment doesn't even makes sense for this type of app, it's greedy.

   Potential to be great but flawed. No matter how well you do at playing the correct notes, the algorithm eventually constrains you to repeat just a few notes on a single string. After a while the app randomly decides that a different string needs work and switches over, even though it said the string was mastered before. There is no way to override this. There is no provision to customize exercises to just drill areas of the fretboard without the app randomly narrowing down the selection of notes. This is extremely frustrating and makes the app totally unusable for me.

    I want to love this. This app is so good but I think there must be a bug because I get every note right but my progress bars go down and now I can’t progress! This literally could be the most helpful app in the world if you just fixed this

    Great App may need algorithm work or improved feedback. Overall I love this app because it is exactly how I’ve been trying to practice the fretboard but it takes away two important time lags in that it tells me where new notes are and helps me randomly play one. I am however currently stuck and I am not sure why… the app says I am playing all the notes correctly and gives no indicators that it is picking up extra noise but at the end of each practice most of my progress bars actually go down? If there is a timing element or if the app thinks I’m playing the wrong note then I feel like that should be given as feedback at the end. It tells you during the lesson if you play the wrong note though so is there a hidden aspect I don’t know about or is the algorithm struggling for some reason? Edit: I’m reducing my rating. I love this app as a concept but it’s been a couple days and it’s just not useable. None of the progress bars go up, I can’t get past the A string despite playing the notes all correctly, extremely well, and at a quick consistent tempo. I’ve read similar reviews with the EXACT same issues that don’t haven’t seemed to be addressed so until it’s fixed I have to abandoned the app because it no longer serves as a learning tool.

    Disappointed. I really want to give this app a good review but it doesn’t seem to function properly. I will get all the notes correct on a round and yet my progress goes down. I understand that it may be partially based on timing of the note, but I have not been able to progress past the A string after 4 days. Also, the app consistently marks the 6th string F note as wrong

    New major update made the app hard to use. The new update is making the app much more frustrating to use now. It constantly tells me to recalibrate now. There’s a very bad lag now navigating through the menus and when switching notes. I hope these issues get fixed cause I enjoyed using this app

    Unhelpful. This is app is really frustrating I paid for the full version because I want to do the whole fretboard but it will still only quiz me on F and G on the low E string. I shouldn’t have to play a G 50 times in a row before it deems that I’ve learned it well enough to start practicing a single other note. It seems functional but I want to be able to use it as practice as an intermediate player not have it assume I’m a beginner who needs to slowly learn every note one at a time. Also why are there mandatory “rounds”? I get in a rhythm and then my concentration is broken and I find myself looking over at my phone wondering why it stopped going. Very overpriced app for how limited it is.

    Improve the algorithm. With 4 strings selected, it keeps repeating the same notes, which is annoying for even the paid user. It does not suggest notes in a context or randomly. At least 3 times it calls the same notes on the same string.

    Good Product, Unreasonable Price. The app works as intended, you get a note and have to play it back in order to progress. There are basic features for adjusting difficulty and practice, along with a surprisingly large support for different guitar-esc instruments. Unfortunately, this app is not worth it. The free version is limited heavily to only the first two strings and natural notes. In order to get full access you either need to pay a subscription or a flat 65$ USD (the same price as a console game). You can do the same type of training for free with a note generator site and a tuner. There are similar apps out there that are cheaper and single-purchase.

    Concept is just what I wanted. But IPhone mic doesn’t seem to pick up correct notes played even though GuitarTuna tuner has no trouble identifying notes through same mic.

    Great app, major mic problem.. This is the exact app I was looking for, too bad it’s useless to me because of issues with the mic. I’m hesitant to say that it’s an issue with the mic sensitivity because it picks up the sound just fine, but for some reason, it thinks I’m strumming the wrong note whenever I play the 6th string open. My guitar is perfectly in tune and yet, it’s telling me that I’m not playing an E. It’s not only frustrating but it tricks the app into thinking I’m struggling with that note and so it keeps asking for an E on the 6th string which it doesn’t recognize and as a result requests it even more… app going in the garbage. Oh well, I was really hoping this worked.

    For $5 needs much improvement. I was excited at the potential of your app, yet for $5 it can use some much needed features. Here are some suggestions for improvement. Mic sensitivity I moved the sensitivity all the way up and I have to pluck a note 3 or 4 times sometimes for it to read the sound. Adjustable timer A timer that users can set so we can track our progress. For example, having an adjustable timer from 1 - 30 seconds per note. So if I wanted to have 11 seconds to figure out each note or notes in different parts of the fretboard, after 11 seconds it would move on automatically to the next note and give me 11 seconds and so on. This way after a week or so I could change the timer to 8 seconds per note and a few weeks after that 5 seconds per note to see how my speed in finding notes is improving. Reveal location A switch that allows us to turn off the feature that tells us where the note is. Currently it tells you where it is after just one mistake. I want to have the choice to either see it or not see it at all. Read notes everywhere When told to find an E note, say on the 6th string, it will only accept the open E string as an answer, the E on the 12th fret is valid but your app doesn’t recognize it. This should be programmed to find an E note anywhere on the string and if you want to pick both it should accept both. String Selection I selected all strings and then when that ended I selected strings 1 - 3. Both times, when I started to practice it became evident that the app was only cycling through a couple of strings and only some of the natural notes, even though I turned off Natural Notes Only. It would be better if it cycled through all the notes or gave you the option to focus on a handful of notes. Please consider implementing these suggestions.

    New version has removed critical features. I’ve been using this app every day to try to learn the notes of the guitar. Today I opened it up and it had a new version. It seems cool but it’s missing two critical features - I can’t find a way of restricting it to specific strings. Now it’s introducing notes on strings I’m not ready for - it no longer shows the answer if you get it wrong a few times. Without this feature the app is really hard to use for me

    Say no to subscription models. No need for a subscription model for something that doesn’t offer a continually updating service. One time purchase is more suitable here, but £60 is a drastically inflated price purely designed to get you to pay the subscription. Don’t support greedy and predatory pricing models! Free version might be useful to some people though, hence the second star.

    Liked it at first. I liked the idea of the app at first but once I did the free trial, it seemed I only had one exercise I could do which was learn all the notes on the fret board. I was hoping to be able to jump around between that and scale exercises, but it seems you can only gain access to those features later? I dunno it seemed pretty limited for 6$ CAD /month service. Not worth it IMO.

    Barely works. Tried every sensitivity setting. In a quiet room you cannot reliably get it to register the notes, really regret buying the pro version before trying.

    paywall. great app and very helpful, got me remembering notes after only 15 mins of using it and fun too. only issue is that it’s got a pay wall if you want to learn sharps/flats and you can only use the low E & A string on the free plan. i would be happy to pay a monthly fee if it was like a dollar or a lifetime fee if it was twenty dollars, but asking $8 and $100 respectively is ridiculous for an app that offers literally only one thing. there are no perks to this that make it worth that price.
