   Terrible System. You cannot build routes in app. It almost seems like the app does whatever it wants and makes random points on the map when building a route. It will not let you remove random points and it will not let you build a route from where you are. Pointless feature in the app that only annoys you when you try to use it. Not happy with this app.

   Don’t Give Money to VC Clowns. The app constantly nagged me for a review even after I stupidly paid for a subscription just to get access to public information that you can get for free at sites like OpenTrailMap.us, so here’s my review: don’t pay for this. These clowns bought the REI Hiking Project, MTB Project, Powder Project, Trail Run Project, and Mountain Project, then OnX acquired them and ruined them all with their subscription plans that they gate everything behind. Everyone who contributed anything to these just gave free value to capitalist pigs. Don’t support this and use something open source instead.

   Misleading. Signed up for their year promo deal only to find out they scam you to pay more money for the options you believe your getting in the advertising, but aren’t there!

   Forgot how cheap and greedy these developers are. Deleted all their apps.. The OnX world continues to grow at a rate only outpaced by their greedy fees. There are many OnX specialty apps these days, and every single one of them has its own fee and usually limited to 1 state. You would think it would be 1 app with all those features. Afterall, if you’re hunting or fishing, you’re driving and hiking in. But no. You have to subscribe to all of these apps all separately or you have to get the elite subscription. However none of these apps are integrated and so they are all essentially standalone. They all require their own updates and favorites and learning curves and features etc etc etc and subscriptions. Lame and cheap cheap cheap cheap cheap. There are much better alternatives on the market that aren’t so expensive and that offer combined features. OnX is garbage

   Good for property info, but frustrating for everything else.. Nothing is intuitive in this app. They’ve made it easier to build offline maps, but routes always want to start where I currently am. I see no way to build a route for a location I’ll be going without it including the trip there. I’ll stick with Google maps (free!) for everything other than property info.

    Thieves. They will charge your credit card despite you canceling your subscription and then try to claim you don’t have an account so they don’t have to stop charging you. Do not give them your money they will steal your credit card info.

    No trails. This app kinda sucks. It’s very expensive. It has great looking maps, but literally no trails on the app. If you go from Mountain project to OnX to explore routes…you will find none. It only shows you useless boundary lines that you would rather not have unless your hunting. You can make your own routes…although that kinda defeats the purpose. I dont know… maybe its operators error… but AllTrails makes it pretty intuitive. For as much money as they charge, you should have a lot more actual useful info like labeled camps and features on notable climbs like Rainier. I’m canceling my subscription

    Terrible. I live in upstate New York close to several free groomed, municipal parks, as well as a few cross country ski centers. I tried this app to see what other trails I might discover and not only did it not show any of the cross-country ski trails near me, including the large centers, the closest it showed were two hours away in the Catskills and it showed virtually nothing in the Adirondacks. As far as cross-country ski trails go this app and it’s accompanying website have a dearth of information.

    Trails. Unless you’re from an area that has some major hiking. This app is not great. Google maps offers more trails which is insane since it’s free and for driving. Being a specialized trail map you would think all the trails would show up.

    No map key. They refuse to have an accessible map key/legend. What to the lines mean? why are they that color? Why are they dashed? Why are there no campsite information? You'll never know. Also you can't click anything or pause when you're making a route. So annoying. It's somehow even worse on the web app.

    Bull***t. Mountain project forces you to have to download this app to use it. But then it doesn’t even sign in or let you use MP after making an account. I don’t even need this dumb**s app or account. Go mess with a different community

    Not Impressed. Picked up the App on Dan Becker recommendation. Looked a few local trails, details are better in Komoot. Tried to delete my account, app won’t even accomplish that task without error. Definitely a do not recommend.

    No Price Info. I’m done with apps that won’t advertise their subscription fee. I downloaded the app and created an account, but without signing up for their trial period (after which you’ll automatically be subscribed and billed) you won’t know the cost. No thanks.

    Forced membership trial upon sign-up/sign-in. No thanks, clowns. Update: Developer responded saying they’re “sorry” I entered an unwanted subscription. No, you’re not. This is by design. Your design. It’s a forced trial. No, I did not get charged, but there’s no way to explore the app without being met by a forced membership trial upon opening it for the first time. Don’t play dumb and try to feign goodwill to other unsuspecting users.

    Poor servers. Buy alltrails.. Downloaded two days ago and paid for a subscription because I heard it was better than its competitors. I am attempting to navigate for the first time and the app required me to update it. After updating it wont load anything or function. Writing this frusated in the middle of a trail trying to find my way back. I tried logging out of my account and it wont let me log in even now. Buy alltrails instead.

    Super Frustrating. The app constantly freezes when im in the middle of making a new waypoint or just simply browsing on the app. And when i “find nearby trails” it just loads forever. Makes it useless for me, ill be canceling my membership and sticking with AllTrails, they are way better and never have any issues
