   In a toxic relationship with Honeybook. At first, HoneyBook was everything I needed. I could send invoices, collect signatures, schedule payments, capture leads, communicate with clients, receive payments, and keep my books organized all in one place. It felt like the perfect solution for my business. But lately, our relationship has become toxic... Simple tasks have become frustratingly difficult. I can’t reliably open or publish invoices. Sending emails is a gamble because they can sit loading for hours, sometimes days. Emails also randomly generate strange script, dashes, and special characters that make my messages look unprofessional. The most frustrating part is that I know how good HoneyBook used to be. That’s what’s keeping me here. I keep hoping things will improve because when it worked, it worked really well. Right now, though, I’m seriously considering other options. Especially for how much I am being charged each month. I need software that helps me run my business, not software that creates more work and stress. If HoneyBook can fix these performance and reliability issues, I’d love to stay. But at the moment, it feels like I’m holding onto what the relationship used to be instead of what it is now.

   Awful. Just use a different CRM. Honeybook is a waste of money.. They will not resolve issues for you. Ive been locked out of my account because my 2FA is not working and they can’t help me even download my contracts. All of this given they charge much higher than standard CRM/Invoicing platforms. If you don’t want your business to be in trouble SERIOUSLY AVOID them.

   Ai driven slop... OS is awful unless you are on an iPad/phone. Support staff very kind but not helpful at all, as they rely on AI to handle most problems and every person who was responded to my problems addresses a slightly different problem than the one I asked about. At least the AI attempted to answer my question correctly and not skimming it. Contracts are such a disaster I paid for adobe for 2 yrs as well just so I could avoid the impending doom of using Honeybooks. After just one… just one contract use….my 3 years of frustration has come to an end. Like an abusive relationship I have finally built up the courage to cut the cord. This service is worth $5 a month tops… and that may be a stretch. I wish good health and happiness but please save your mental health and use another app… heck even goggle docs is a better option than this.

   Clunky. I want to like this more but it’s clunky af. The app takes too long to load the intro screen, then more time to go from menu to menu. It’s 2026- nobody has time to sit around waiting for loading pages in a CRM/invoicing app I’m now looking at pixieset.

   Unusable on iPad. This app is completely unusable on my iPad Pro. I am currently trying to send an email but clicking on send does nothing. I’ve closed and reopened. Re-installed. Nothing. What good is a CRM if I cannot communicate with clients?

   Not always easy to use for multiple reasons. 1. For clients with weddings that require multiple dates of coverage like south Asian weddings, I cannot assign multiple dates in the contract that populates into the calendar.. so that calendar syncing is useless to me. 2. There should be a feature to just select physical payments to avoid credit card and bank transfers fees. Somehow sync with zelle would be great. 3. This app is not working on my new iPhone 13 pro. The screen keeps buffering even though I deleted and re-installed app. All other apps that I use are working fine on my phone. 4. Everytime I try to add a vendor contact that is not part of HoneyBook, the system says “error”.

    Slow, slow, and slow. I genuinely can’t understand how a company that just felt the need to dramatically increase their price is able to maintain their business with an app that is this slow and buggy. I need 10 seconds for the app to register anything I do. I have to wait another 10 seconds for it to update and then provide me with another view of my dashboard and then another 10 seconds to actually interact with it. My notifications won’t go away even though I’ve repeatedly tapped the clear all notifications button. It’s clear that HoneyBook wants a top quality experience that’s feature packed and easily manipulated via a mobile phone. It’s also clear that this is a problem amongst the users and they’ve done nothing tangible to improve it. BUT THANK THE GOOD LORD WE HAVE AI INTEGRATED IN MY PAYMENT PROCESSOR FOR SOME REASON Edit: I now cannot and have not been able to apply automations to new leads for over a week now. They’re actively taking money out of my pocket.

    Don’t do it.. They promised me $5000 to $1000 per day. I never received one penny. Plus I was desperate and they took advantage of that.

    The technology was not teaching. I did the trial after a great session with ChatGPT, who recommended it for my business. I created an account and once I clicked the verify email link, it stopped working. I chatted with HB and they told me to reset my password. I did, yet it would not take. I chatted again and asked if someone could call me, they did not. I opened it this am and it had my logo with the name Jane Smith. Suffice to say, if it is not working during the trial, it cannot work for my business.

    Bad customer service. Someone recommended honeybook to me so I went online and did a free trial for a week before deciding to commit. It’s a little pricey so I was iffy but I thought to myself why not try it one year with my friend’s referral code. Unfortunately because I did the free trial, honeybook said they couldn’t honor the referral unless I had text proof I received the referral code before signing up. Since my friend had verbally referred it to me, I didn’t have that proof. Honestly the bad customer service was enough for me to go with another CRM instead. Obviously if they can’t honor something so simple as that I can only imagine their bad customer service would be an issue on the future.

    Takes your money at every opportunity. Charges you to use platform and service then charges +2% for each deposit. You’re telling me the prices you keep raising don’t cover the deposit charge?

    Difficult to operate/ no support. This platform is very difficult to operate and there is no live support. I am now searching for something more friendly and supported.

    Supposed to make life simpler does the opposite. It literally is supposed to let you do everything from one spot when you can only do certain things from a desktop certain things from a website, browser and certain things from the app. you have to set it all up in a way that it does exactly what you wanted to do with the automations that you put in otherwise don’t even bother.

    Go somewhere else. Customer service is extremely hard to get in contact with. If you need to pay for the service they are QUICK to contact you but when it comes to paying out the money for invoices it doesn’t take 2-3 days as they say. Horrible experience. Once I get my money from the invoice I won’t be back

    Very annoying to use. I’ve hated HoneyBook from the beginning but square is giving me issues due to getting married recently. Not only is HoneyBook hard to use. Everything is so complicated to use and can be so simple. Example….inputting your client contact information shouldn’t be that hard but somehow HoneyBook makes everything annoying. Wouldn’t recommend for birth birthworkers. Our time is important

    Scam. Do not use! They take a percentage AND charge you a monthly fee. Go elsewhere. Customer service are a bunch of crooks too! Lots of fine print in all their “services”.

    Honey Books Mobile App - Experience. Honey Books online interface is complex at times to use but much easier than the mobile app. The app doesn’t facilitate editing. It’s glitchy at times. Has pop ups constantly come up whenever you try editing.

    Almost Perfect. I thought this platform was perfect. Kept me organized, easy to use once you mess around with it for a few months. Then I had a couple cancel their wedding the day of their wedding. According to the contract that HoneyBook had as a template, a cancellation the day of was not refundable. The couple disputed their payments and won the dispute despite violating the contract they signed. $3,000 has been taken from my bank account by HoneyBook and returned to the couple. I now can’t pay my rent this coming month. So outside of them taking money from my bank account and completely screwing me over, this is a great platform.

    NOT FOR SMALL BUSINESSES. HoneyBook claims to be for small businesses but charges a monthly fee or a yearly subscription for their platform, in addition to taking money from every invoice/transaction made. Not only that, if you don’t constantly check how payments are made they will randomly charge different rates for different forms of payment even though you have certain settings turned off. I don’t know about you as a business owner, but when a company is making significant money off small businesses a red flag should pop up. They’ve collected over $400 in monthly payments for the year, not including over $5,000 of my money from their “transaction” fees and then offer a $100 gift card if you take their survey. 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩

    Worst Customer Service and Support. After trying Honey Book, we realized that the app is difficult to navigate. On top of this, they have not deposited funds from invoices that were paid by our clients. We promptly applied for invoicing and merchant services through a different company. The rates were lower than HoneyBook and payment was quickly deposited into our account with no hassle. I will never recommend HoneyBook, worst customer service ever
