   Lost Most Of My Journal Entries. Support took 4 days to respond. I followed the steps they provided, including signing out and signing back in. Unfortunately, I have now lost most of my journal entries. I have not heard back from support in 8 days now.

   Entries Disappearing. For the past week or so sections of my entries have disappeared after being saved - when I go back into the app then the entries for “What will I do to make today great”, “Daily Affirmations” and “What did I learn today” will have disappeared. I have been using the app for almost three years and haven’t noticed this happening before. Very disappointing.

   Losing content. Been using this app for years and have thousands of entries and now it’s losing content silently. Can’t seem to debug why but i save and it just loses the last 2 questions. As a dev myself this is a p0 to fix because users cancel subs over stuff like this. Stop adding useless features and make sure your core journal functionality works.

   Night Shift. Another app that doesn’t acknowledge that some people work at night. When you ask me questions about how my day went, and I’ve just got out of bed at 7:00 PM, it feels ridiculous. Good job and goodbye.

   Photos DO NOT enter, Apple computer change from daily two entry systems doesn’t work. Photos don’t enter on first selection. This has been for months. Whatever update removed the ease of photo attachments. Using the Apple computer phone share this app’s function to change between the daily two options does not work. Why? It’s been an issue for many months ….🤷🏻‍♂️🖥️📲 Make this app accessible to web browsers. Room to grow Tech updates needed

   Mistakenly got charged. Not clear payment options. I wished I checked better before mistakenly got charged. So now, I have to use it, no choice.

   Not that impressed. Buy a notebook, it’s easier and cheaper! Give it time, Apple will integrate quotes and prompts to their journal for free at some point.

   Stopped working on my IPad. I LOVE this app and I really loved using it on my iPad but a few months ago after an update, it stopped working on my iPad. I still use it on my phone but it is not the same. I tried repeatedly to try and contact the developer/company to report the issue but for the life of me I can’t figure out how to contact anyone. So, I am writing this review in hopes that someone sees it and fixes the issues.

    Not flexible. I do t always want to use the prompt or write the 3 bulleted items the format gives me. I want to write my thoughts. Maybe give that option ‘use prompt’ or ‘free flow’. Also I cannot edit an entry once I move off of the date…odd.

    My journal has been lost!. The 5 minute journal has been life changing for me! The ability to share your thoughts, along with pictures, has provided such joy! On November 3, 2024, I was logged out of the app. I tried repeatedly to login without success. I have been reaching out to the developer for nearly 3 months now, with little communication back, and ultimately no resolve. Please help!

    Love the idea hate the app. App has been off and on working on my new MacBook Air but the lastest update has caused it to start crashing again. Will cancel my subscription when it is due for renewal.

    feature bloat. was a great app when it focused on simplicity and now it's a sea of distraction and painful to navigate. what once was great way to practice daily gratitude is now trying to be everything for everyone and falling down from the strong place it used to be. user experience designers take note.

    Rude. Got through my first entry and then it tells me I can start a 3 day subscription and pay $40 annually. That's an egregious amount of money for a JOURNAL. I would have appreciated knowing it was not free before going through my entire journal entry.

    Amazing before totally ruined after update. Honestly an amazing app for journaling and building gratitude. It was divided into 3 prompts and the pay wall got you access to widgets and some other conveniences. Which was fair and made it an amazing app. Idk who thought it would be a good idea to get rid of the prompts and put them behind a subscription paywall. Absolutely horrible idea. Now it’s just another crappy notes app? You can literally just use the normal notes app and there would be no difference they no longer provide any value. The base app has very little value now and all the value is behind a paywall.

    Custom prompts keep breaking. The newest visual update has broken my custom prompts. I’ve emailed support multiple times but there is no fix except to roll back to a previous version. I’m really disappointed that the subscription is so expensive yet the features are constantly broken. I’ve used this app daily for 3+ years and the newest update has me considering switching to something else.

    Took away all the free features. I have had this app for over a year and it was perfect. It had everything I wanted. Today, without warning, they took all the free features away and expect me to pay for a subscription. Very disappointing and disrespectful of their consumers. DON’T GET THIS APP IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING WITH FREE FEATURES!

    STOLE MY PICTURES AND JOURNAL!. I am so beyond frustrated and regret ever using this app. Since they switched over, I have still not received my past entries and or pictures! These were all very dear to me and thought Five Minute Journal had more dignity thank this. I have emailed and asked for them back a few different times and now. I’m so fed up with them taking my things and asking for me to pay for their app. Which I would have gladly done if my things weren’t stolen.

    Can’t Sign In. I used to be a loyal user of the Five Minute Journal app, but I stopped using it a while ago because I encountered a major issue: I couldn’t log in with my existing account and kept getting stuck in a sign-in loop. I recently tried to sign in again, hoping the issue had been fixed, but it’s still the same. My account seems to have been lost during their system update, and there’s no way to recover it. It’s incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Until this problem is resolved, I can’t recommend this app to anyone.

    They started a subscription service after I paid a flat fee for the APP. After paying flat fee for the APP and being happy with the service, they upgraded the interface and started a subscription service which took away some of the features I used and I could only access them again if I started to pay a monthly or yearly fee. Access to services should not go backwards after paying. Horrible business model.

    Worst app I can imagine. How can you have a journal that erases what you wrote? Immediately after you spent several minutes writing it. I used to be a very active user of this app and even recommended it. Now I avoid using it although I purchased the forever package. Which I of course regret dearly. I just gave it another chance this weekend thinking it was fixed or I was doing something wrong and after journaling my three last days I returned to see and I only had The pictures. Which I also have in my photo app so why would I need this garbage rather than to loose time and have a broken heart of loosing your thoughts forever.

    Loved it until they lost my data. I absolutely loved this app until a couple weeks ago when I couldn’t get signed in. Somehow, after 3 1/2 years, the company had no record of me or my entries. They did manage to locate nearly 3 months of entries from 2021, but insisted that I must have deleted the account after that since they couldn’t find it (I didn’t). It’s devastating to lose your memories.

    Can’t sign up for account. When I attempt to create an account in the app, I get a message saying that my “email or password was not right”. The passwords match and the email I’ve tried to use is valid, so it’s not an input issue. Deleting, because the app is pretty useless without an account

TW: family trauma / loss The weekly challenge this week? send your parents a small gift without any reason, just to show your love and appreciation, just to make them My mom died traumatically 2 years ago, my first dad died when I was 3, and my second/adopted dad is not someone who I can have a healthy relationship with and have spent years of therapy creating boundaries with. I started using this app after a long struggling letiod. I opened it up tonight, feeling myself relax already while pre-contemplating what I had to be grateful for once the app loaded. I opened my screen to that weekly challenge… a challenge that should have come with a TW. Hey app… please think through holds true within the contexts of your prompts/challenges. “Parents” could have easily been swapped with “someone in your life”… or “someone you means a lot to you” or anything!
