   Not happy. Not very happy that I can no longer export my diary unless I upgrade to grid diary 2 and forced to pay subscription. Had a feature and it was taken away. Will just copy paste one by one and delete this app.

   THEY DESTROYED THE ORIGINAL AND ALL MY ENTRIES. **UPDATED 7/17/19*** Left my original review below so you’d know how much I loved this app. But now the developers got greedy and decide to flip the bird to everyone that supported them in early development. Now my classic version suddenly doesn’t except my password. I have no way to access the app and it’s no longer supported. So years of entries are lost. Lesson learned: I’ll never rely on a digital journal again. In the meantime, I truly hope the developer has no success with this new version. This app was a perfect way for me to maintain my New Years resolution last year to be more grateful. I love the clean, beautiful interface and especially the addition of the time stamp. Love how much you can do in the free version but upgraded to pro just because I wanted to support the developer. It's so beautiful to look at and use. Such a great way to journal. I highly recommend this app!!

   Ruthless and greedy developers. A greedy company who asks you to buy the premium features then they change to subscription model and they ask you to pay again

   Doesn’t work anymore. Terrible. Used to be perfect. It now crashes on open even after the most recent update that was supposed to fix that. Can’t even access to back up past entries. The lack of support and transition to a subscription model feels predatory. Disappointing that a great product that was paid for is being taken away.

    Great app - now impossible to use. I just bought the “lifetime” version of this app in December. I had no idea the new version was going to be released requiring a subscription. I would be happy to continue using this one - except that now the app won’t even open. Lame. And I’m not falling for any promises a second time.

    Disappointed. I thought this would be a good app to replace “My Journal” which went out of business. My 534 mb of data (memories and photos) are apparently lost to me. This app does not even come close, there are grammatical errors in some of the grid questions, it is very annoying to use. I’ve lost close to $20 because I upgraded to the no ads version of the app. I’m done! Live and learn😠

    Was 5 stars now doesn’t work. The latest release that was to end the prompts to upgrade, now means the app won’t open at all. It starts to open and immediately closes. I’m annoyed this version that I just paid for a couple of weeks ago will no longer be supported. I was loving having specific questions and especially tracking my dreams, but now it won’t even open.

    Great app until the obvious cash grab.. 1/18/19 DO NOT UPDATE. App will no longer run with update 4.2.4. Update introduces and auto crash bug. This company is unbelievable. For months I have love this app. Today I noticed that grid diary was to be updated. Upon reading the release notes, I realized that this app I love is about to become obsolete. Shame on the developer for such an obvious cash grab as forcing us off this app, no legacy support, to make us pay for a subscription model. I already paid for the pro features. I don’t want to pay again. Shame on you guys.

    Love The App, Disappointed With Company. Back in 2018 or 2019 I paid for the lifetime use of the app because I loved the app and wanted to use it as my journal forever. Well, in 2024 instead of continuing to improve and update this version, the company decided to launch a Grid Diary 2 and it does not grandfather a lifetime membership from this (the classic) version. Makes me resent paying for this app and refuse to pay for the new one on principle.

    Mad. Because my phone was taken.. On my new phone I looked into the sync settings to see if I could restore my entries. Turns out that by default, cloud sync is disabled. Plus (I'm adding to this months later) you can't change the default questions. Thanks for taking our money buddy

    Last update wrecked Grid Diary Classic. It was wonderful to use until this latest update. Now the app force closes every time it is opened. Quite a sad thing for me but I still won’t buy version 2 because the the Classic version was perfect for me as well as many others.

    Upgraded and it won’t work. I upgraded to Grid Diary Pro but it is asking me for a username and password in order to link it to my Grid Diary Classic. I do not have an email/password with Classic to be able to link it to the Pro. I’m a little upset that this is not an easy transition.

    Good app that made an unfortunate decision. This was a good app, and like others on my phone - I have always been happy to pay for that and have encouraged friends to do the same. But I will never be pleased with subscriptions: instead of paying for present functionality, it feels like paying for future potential or unused capabilities - or its existence. Just as I don’t like paying for cell data I don’t use and cable tv I don’t watch and streaming content I don’t care about - I don’t appreciate paying for an apps features I’m not interested in, nor its preservation. A developer’s choice to go with this model, my choice to not follow: goodbye Grid, hello pay-up-front journals.

    Zero customer support. Every day I have a red “1” for notification. Every day I open the app and see nothing. I have not changed any settings. I have no idea what this is and I’ve emailed support three times. Each time, I get a reply back that they will be right back in touch. I am afraid I’m getting ready to lose some data, which is what the notification is, but that may not be it. I just want to reach a person to help.

    Grid diary pro. Well to start off with this review, I just want to say that this app is very good. It helped me alot when I was going through things. Next thing is that I dont think it is necessary to buy a pro just to put a passcode. We,the people, get this app to write out how we feel and we assume that this will only stay between us. Having strict parents and this app will only start bad things. This is only my opinion but I believe that you should take out having a passcode for only pros.
