   The data they get from you. Don’t sign up with your personal info and credit card. Don’t buy this. Scroll all the way down and look at the data they collect on you when you go on their page to read privacy policy.

   Regret giving them a chance. Refund/credit policy is TERRIBLE. Missed cancel date after free trial and requested a month be credited. Was not willing to even refund a partial credit. I work really hard for my money so was very disappointed in their greediness. Will not be using ever again. Thanks for nothing thieves.

   Can’t track streaks properly.. Don’t even bother with the streaks. It occasionally just doesn’t record your work and makes your start at day one again. It has happened to me several times in the past year and a half and customer service doesn’t gaf.

   They earned one star 🫩. The language learning is great, but they continue to boot me off of the app, too many times, and sometimes it’s at the worst moment. And if you downloaded the language you bought, it won’t matter; you better have a way to sign back in and have a connection to keep learning. My guess is that they are afraid of people who have found out a way to get it for free, so we all will get punished for the supposed freeloaders.

    Terrible. This app is terrible trying to listen to the Japanese. Everything is garbled. It moves way too fast. It’s just a waste of time and money.

    Terrible support!. I purchased an entire language program, all levels, completed Level 1 Lesson 1 but Lesson 2 was still locked. Live chat support told me to restore the program which I did. Still nothing. Level 1 never went past Lesson 1! Told Live Chat person but I never got a response back! I waited 20 minutes for a response but got nothing. I’ve lost a lot of money thanks to this terrible app.

    Misleading Billing. I downloaded this app back in September of 2025 and now it’s May 2026. I started looking closely at my checking account and I didn’t know what the charges were for. I contacted my bank and found out it was this. This does NOT place it into your subscriptions on your iPhone for review. I literally used it once and probably spent what?? $180 to $200 for it. They won’t reimburse nor provide you information to submit a complaint with the Better business bureau. I do not recommend this app. It sucks. I recommend Busuu to learn a different language. I asked for a call back and I highly doubt that happens either!

    Low fruit. Lots of potential but some absurd short fallings. For starters, no speed control for audio. I listen while driving and can only process at around 80-90% speed, vs if I’m just sitting there focused on it. Crazy they don’t have this. Secondly, the app doesn’t have a iOS dark icon. This rendering language has been out over a year and still hasn’t received basic support. Also, if you accidentally click the wrong user when signing in, you aren’t able to change users until you’ve selected a language and filled out the form selecting why you want to learn that language. It is the worst user flow I have ever seen and looks like it was developed by a child.

    Where’s the discount?. Okay, I have used Pimsleur for over 25 years. It is one of the best learning methods when you are teaching yourself. BUT, this app is terrible!!! It needs more micro lessons about more than just drinking and dating. AND, Pimsleur needs to honor the ads they keep sending me …

    Not accurate. In Thailand they said I was not using phrases that everyone uses ie to order food is incorrect. In Chinese I said excuse me and the Chinese gentlemen said that the way I said it meant more closely to I’m sorry. The app is not teaching language correctly.

    Unreasonable customer service policy. After 7 years of being a customer and having clear records to my use of the app; I asked for a refund of the last 5 months I hadn’t logged it due to scheduling conflicts. They refused and only refunded me $14.99. After $1,260, they really couldn’t afford a $76 refund. 🤷‍♀️

    Not much on speaking the language. The instructions are all in your native tongue. So the course is terrible with immersion. I wanted to try this because the ad has a person driving around and learning to speak. But the instructions are so long and the phrases are all outdated. I took it for Japanese and it teaches you the right phrases for politeness. But I wanted a more casual conversations, like with friends. So it back to tutoring with real live speakers. Not “canned” responses like this app does.

    Way too fast, gallery of feedback options, creepy man starring.. You would think the app being for a visual experience would show you something better than a man starring at me the whole time I’m trying to learn a language. Where is the devs brains at? Not in learning a language. Probably just a man in basement that has no experience to code. We have AI to help you basement man. Learn to add some visual pleasing vibe to even wish to stick around. I went to suggest this and ran into a gallery of options on what kind of feedback and where it needs to go. That is horrendous and deters anyone from submitting. Delete.

    Completely nonfunctional. Endless loop of being asked to pick my course, pick my country of residence, and then “Cannot load lesson at this time, please try again later”, persisting for over a day.

    Terrible. The phonetics coaching was awful. Specific words would be repeatedly failed despite saying them a million different ways, slowly, quickly, etc— it would say it was unable to understand me and then just fail me. Totally obliterates the desire to keep learning when you know you’re doing it correctly but being failed anyway. And YES I was in a completely quiet location with the microphone within two feet of my mouth. I played with distance as well as enunciation. Didn’t have a problem with other words! Very frustrating. Glad I didn’t give them any money.

    20$ a month is insane for an app. I’m not willing to pay a subscription for an app, let alone one this expensive. I’d pay a one time fee, but based on your subscription costs I assume you’d set an asinine price. You’d make plenty of money if you lowered the cost, your greed is probably holding back your profits. Plus you track user data to sell. Your greed sickens me.

    Garbage old tech. Do Not Purchase many features do Not Work. Voice recognition is Garbage. Lots of Fake reviews propping up this old technology. Rosetta Stone is superior and amazing voice recognition. I have studied many languages

    Fraudulent charge during 7 day trail. I clicked on the 7 day trial and signed up, immediately canceled it, and was charged anyway. Customer service refused to provide a refund!!!

    DONT BUY. Ok, so I thought this app was free, but turns out you have to pay to actually use it. like you get one lesson and then you pay 164 dollars a year JUST TO USE THE APP. Seriously if you were gonna charge people to just have basic access to your app, might as well make the actual app cost money instead of calling it free but with conditions wth🫩
