   These lessons make no sense. I’ve been using Duolingo to learn French for a while, but thought I’d check this out to improve my speech. I’m intermediate level, but the first “lesson” assumed I was advanced because I didn’t understand any of it. So I chose Beginner level to see how it would proceed, and the first “lesson” drilled me on a bunch of soccer/football equipment and terminology. I doubt that the first words a beginner wants to learn are things like shin guards, cleats, jerseys, and stadiums. Seriously, this app is so awful and buggy!

   Terrible format. A beginner French lesson expects you to know vocabulary for a football (soccer) match.

   Don’t ever give them your CC info. I disputed a $49.99 charge from Promova for a subscription that I canceled on the same day it was charged. I did not intend to continue the subscription beyond the initial period, and I canceled immediately after realizing the renewal. I have not used the service after canceling. I attempted to contact the company multiple times by email and phone to request a refund, but I have received no response. Because the subscription was canceled right away and the service was not used, I believe this charge is unfair and should be refunded but they never refunded and responded of my request😡 please be careful with these people

   Talking with AI partner. Often, the AI doesn’t hear well what I say. My words are often transcribed incorrectly. This makes it hard to maintain my motivation to practice conversations.

    Huge Scam. Promos lied about the 7 day free trial and refuses to refund stating its apple’s fault like they don't get paid. The app is full of ads asking for more money so I never got past the additional charges. Apple was of no help

    BEWARE HUGE SCAM!. I signed up for the 7 day free trial and was charged $89.99 and on the same day tried to cancel and was told it is not eligible for cancelation. The app is full of ads asking for more money. It was unusable. Apple is no help either and I no longer trust the apps on the Apple Store.

    Waste of time and money. they offered free 7 day trial yet they did charged me for the whole year. Duolingo which is free is much better. Promova is based on sensless repetition and therecis no cohesion between lessons.

    Very low-quality language learning app. Overpriced and false advertising, the Facebook ad that took me to the app showed something completely different. Low quality and wayyy overpriced for what it offers.

    Scam charging. When I canceled subscription and deleted the app confirm with support member. But few month later, they charged again and it says still your subscription is active. That’s terrible. No explanation. They still have my info and trying to charge forever once you make subscription. Can’t never cancelled. So scared.

    Vocabulary, not mirroring.. Not what was advertised. I looked forward to reading along with subtext. I’m days in and the only thing I’ve done is vocabulary review, which can’t be navigated around. Also the accent is Spanish, not Latin American Spanish, which is the language I’m trying to study. Pretty disappointed with this purchase.

    Decepcionante. No te enseñan las pronunciaciones, y se pegan en un solo tema! He aprendido más en Duolingo que en esta aplicación, en el comercial, se mostró que eran únicos, pero ya comprado, es una decepción total, y no hallo cómo hacer que me devuelvan mi dinero 😤😤

    Not as advertised. I signed up after seeing an ad that showed a book being read aloud in Spanish with the words highlighted as it was read and the English translation below. However, when I signed up, I could not find that feature anywhere. I messaged support back and forth 3 times with screenshots but they were unable to assist me in locating that feature (how hard is it?!) So I asked for a refund but they require I do 10 lessons before issuing a refund…I never wanted the lessons to begin with! I wanted the book reading g feature. I’m hoping to find this book reading feature through another platform.

    Bad. Personally didn’t think it was that good for learning languages. I wanted to cancel after the free trial but there’s no obvious way to cancel on the app. I emailed customer support who said they would cancel it on my behalf but ended up getting charged anyways. When I reached back out they said I had to go through Apple to request a refund. A huge headache and not worth it.
