   Okay device. Mediocre software.. The device is okay but the software that goes with it is a big disappointment. The worst part is that they don’t ever seem to be making any efforts to improve it. I come from a technology background and have never seen a company that appears to be less interested in improving their app.

   Needs to keep app open 24/7. The device doesn’t work unless you keep the app open…. 2nd this device doesn’t need an app period… not everything needs an app, especially a device that just vibrates on your chest….

   Bluetooth. Sensate device Doesn’t connect to Bluetooth at times. Tried shutting off and turning back on. Have to restart phone then it’ll connect. Don’t have this issue with any other Bluetooth device and the iPhone. Also, limited number of Sensate sessions unless one upgrades to Sensate plus subscription. The device was expensive, at my income level. I cannot afford to subscribe, so was disappointed most of the sessions in the app are only for paid subscribers

   Non-existent customer service. I have been trying since July 8 to obtain the activation code for my Sensate Plus Subscription. I have only received Artificial Intelligence responses from Sensate. The last response indicated my request was being referred to a “human.” It is July 22. I still don’t have the activation code .

   Can’t get customer service. My device broke and I have been emailing with the company since April. I used this devise about 3-5 times a week. As someone suffering from a dysregulated nervous system, it was really helping me a lot. I am so disappointed that I haven’t heard back from customer service. I miss using this to help my fight or flight response be more regulated.

   Scam!. This company is a scam, do not buy the device or pay for anything. Their phone number doesn’t work, they don’t respond to emails when you want to return the device after you try it and realize it doesn’t work as advertised. I’m within my 90 days and they are nowhere to be found. Filed a dispute with American Express. Apple should remove their app!

   I’ll be so for real right now. Yeah i love biohacking stuff but listen don’t waste your money on this device. Let’s be honest it’s so expensive. And listen to me right now. The vibrations are not any more magical or healing than you could get from a $10 massager from Walgreens. Use your head here. And ALSO i have only had this thing for a year and the motor is already giving out and there is something clearly wrong with it. Seriously I don’t even use it that often and it’s already jacked up. Also i hate the music and wish i could just use it without the app but that’s a personal thing.

    Senate hides the free sessions. In a bid to get you to spend more on an already expensive device, Sensate provides very few ‘free’ sessions. And those that do provide are randomly dispersed in the list of options. Bait and switch at its finest. Do better Sensate. Provide more free options and make them easy to find.

    Great device when it works.. I have used three of these now bc they all stop working at some point. The vibration will not work, even though the device is connected. I have gone through every piece of trouble shooting. There is a major lack of customer service. No one will respond to emails and there is no phone number to reach out to. I just bought my third Sensate today, straight out of the box zero vibration. I give up at this point. Don’t waste your money.

    Good device, but beware of pressure to subscribe to their Plus service. While I have been happy with the device itself, the company has pivoted very hard towards a subscription model since I purchased the device two years and has made it difficult to uncover free sessions in the app.

    Slow and limited. I don’t understand why it takes so long to “load” an already downloaded track to use. When I am fortunate enough to sneak away for half an hour to use the app, I’d like my time to go toward improving my mental health, not further stressing it. Beyond that, the track categories are unhelpful and vague. The categories are things like Space and Time, Sacred Spaces, and Somnus. I would find it much more useful if they were listed by certain intended outcomes or states of mind like: healthy digestion, easing anxiety, calming the mind, letting go, gaining focus, improving energy, winding down, etc.

    Great Device, App Awful. I am continually asked to open a new account almost every time I use this App. It can't seem to remember that I have been using this App for over two years, and that I have an existing account. It is still happening. Hard to improve one's stress with a device and App, when trying to do so only creates more stress. Tried using just now and did it again. It has no record of my account. I will stop suggesting this device to others. A hassle to constantly have to create a new account to use this. The device works great when the App doesn't make me want to throw it against a wall.

    Really disappointing. After paying hundreds of dollars for the device that can be manufactured for about $20, I found that most of the “music” required to use it is locked behind a subscription service. Absolute garbage! I feel swindled

After spending over $300 on the device, you’re forced to subscribe annually to utilize the majority of its features through its faulty and invasive app. Too bad- this seemed like a great concept, albeit expensive investment upon its launch. Seems like a scam now.

    Horrible experience. Sensate is definitely not for everyone. It’s not contraindicated for anyone but I discovered that it was way too powerful for me. It triggered an arrhythmia. I returned it & thought I’d get a full refund, but they refused to refund shipping because I didn’t “enjoy” the device. Just felt rather clueless and tacky and reminded me of the unpleasant experience. It wasn’t about “enjoyment” - it became dangerous for me. Would’ve left me with a positive experience of the company to just refund me completely.

    Corporate greed takes over. Despite saying they would, Sensate now appears to have no intention of expanding the free track options included with the purchase of the Sensate. So that leaves you with a grand total of 13 or so tracks for all time unless you want to fork over even more money—as if paying $300+ for the Sensate itself weren’t enough. They can’t be bothered to expand the free tier at all while plugging their subscription model, of course, as that would undercut their goal of making even more money off of you. Shameful and ridiculous.

    My unit broke in less than a month so app is pointless. Like many reviews that have been popping up lately, my Sensate unit broke in less than a month and no response from customer service to try swap or refund under the warranty. App is useless if the Sensate doesn’t work!

    Unusable without data connection. App requires internet to log in, which means I was unable to use my Sensate at all during a 16 hour flight. I don’t even see the point of having accounts in the first place besides data gathering, the app has 0 features related to your account after you log in.

    Lacking…. Aside from the device size (comparing to Apollo), Sensate & the app is severely limited. Cons: -Cannot use your own audio while using device at the same time. It will stop vibration. (I communicated with customer service and their suggestion was to use another device for listening to music, binaural beats etc.) -Very limited free tracks and even limited tracks when you pay. Pro: size of device.
