App issues. App wants me to set my birthday but won’t navigate away from Feb. My birthday is a different month

No subscription and was charged $260. I don’t have a subscription and was charged for a year I did not authorize. Buyer beware, 100%.

Customer services. I would not recommend them due to poor customer service. I went to cancel day after payment and I am now out more money than I can afford for it. I asked for a refund and was told it wasn’t possible due to production. It’s a journal subscription. I should be able to get a refund. I will not be supporting this business again. I love support women business and small companies but I also expect more from them than I received from silk and Sonder.

Do not subscribe. You will never be able to cancel. No matter what their fine print says. It’s ridiculous and unethical. Just buy yourself and journal and YouTube bullet journaling.

Mindfulness shouldn’t be this frustrating. First, the app is buggy and poorly designed. Features constantly glitch, journal entries disappear, and syncing is unreliable at best. It feels like an afterthought rather than a functional part of the experience. For a company centered on mindfulness and organization, the app experience is ironically chaotic. The customer service is disappointing too. I reached out multiple times about missing shipments and issues with my subscription, and the responses were either delayed or unhelpful. It’s frustrating to feel like you’re not being heard — especially by a company that promotes emotional wellness and support. As for the journals themselves, while they’re aesthetically pleasing, they become repetitive quickly. Each month felt like a copy-paste of the last, with minimal innovation or customization. Not to mention they feel flimsy and low quality. At this price point, I expected more value and creativity. I’ve been a long time subscriber and over the years the prices continually increase without any additional benefits or offerings for members. I understand inflation but this whole operation just feels like a money grab and gimmicky. I really wanted Silk + Sonder to be part of my wellness routine, but instead it felt like a chore — both to use and to deal with. I’ve canceled my subscription and wouldn’t recommend this product.

Unscrupulous business practices. I made a one time purchase in order to experiment using the product and in the fine print it stated that it would be on automatic renewal every quarter (something I didn’t notice at the time of purchase and no option was given to opt out). When the time for renewal came I was given no forewarning to cancel the subscription and my card that they stored was charged. I saw the charge pending and asked for them to cancel the order which hadn’t shipped. They said they would cancel but wanted to know why I was canceling. I explained why (thinking the order was canceled and I’d be refunded) and they came back saying the order couldn’t be canceled and by this time had shipped. This all is quite interesting considering what this company preaches. All they want is your money - if they truly cared about your well-being, they would notify you of an upcoming charge and give you the opportunity to reassess if you want to continue. I’ve submitted a dispute to my credit card and plan to post some complaints so others don’t have this terrible experience I’m having.

I want to try it SO bad. I’ve seen a couple tiktoks, and this app looks exactly like what I’m looking for. It just won’t let me access anything. It prompts you to provide a phone number, so I did, and no matter what, it won’t send me a code to get in! I just wanted a daily prompt for journaling for 2025🥹

It’s a cult. And once you’re in you are never ever ever getting out. You can stop it from coming and you can’t stop then from them charging you. Dont do it!!

Horrible customer service.. Be very cautious with this company. They run a very shady business and refuse to help you out. Will Jevon support this company again.

Total scam. Please DO NOT order from this company. They will set you up for a monthly subscription and then switch to yearly without you noticing. After you alert them they will tell you too bad and not assist with a refund. They just charged me over $250. Check out their reviews on the Better Business Bureau.

Great company gone toxic. S+S was so great when they started our. Fast forward to now and it’s like they got too big too fast and don’t know how to handle it. The app was a cool companion to the journal, but it’s become a toxic place run by a hypocritical company. They boast self care but only self care that has to do with silk and sonder. If you even mention the name of another great self care program - say, journal party, they’ll delete your comment. They delete comments left and right and even if you specifically ask, no one will answer you. Their support only answers emails when the result is a purchase or payment to S+S. They only want a specific type of member there, and I’m not for it.

Remove signup before preview. Unfortunately, you have to provide data before you can view the app. Too many times, I’ve deleted an app shortly after signing up, even if free, only to find out the app isn’t for me or has technical issues. If you have a great product that you believe in, allow people to skip the sign in and review the app before committing to it.

Avoid this company at all costs. A year ago I purchased a one year Silk + Sonder subscription for myself as a birthday gift. My first cute calendar arrived mid April (for April) and when the second calendar hadn’t arrived a week into the month I reached out and asked what was happening (a one month calendar is pretty useless when it arrives on the fifteenth) and was told it was their error and that they would comp me a month next year. I was kind of over the company at that point, and I clearly remember going to the website and canceling my subscription and thinking that at least that was finished. Fast forward to today when my account over drafted with a two hundred dollar charge. I reached out and explained that I was certain that I’d canceled, with a screenshot of last year’s exchange and asked that they issue a refund. After all with those comped months they still owe me a couple calendars to toss in the trash (even my journal loving teen doesn’t want them). They said absolutely not. So. Yeah. I know they advertise a lot. But I cannot tell you how strongly I would recommend avoiding them. Between the shipping problems and the atrocious customer service it isn’t worth the headache.

Bad vibes. I’ve been trying out a couple of different mental health apps and I just stumbled across this one and decided to try it. Right away I had to put in my phone number and full name which as is makes me a little uncomfortable, I don’t like using my full name on social media or in apps like this, especially considering this is a mental health app. Then it asked me to put in my email as well as some other optional personal information. These things aren’t super uncommon for social media-type apps but the fact that it’s a mental health app specifically it gives me bad vibes. Of course then there’s a pop up for a membership because every app needs to have a subscription service now. Once I got past all of that I finally got to the home page where I found… ads. About a third of the home page is populated with ads for the silk + sonder shop and it made me feel a little overwhelmed. A lot of this app felt disingenuous, it felt like it cared more about aesthetics and money than actual mental health. Idk, other people seem to really like it and I found out this app is made to accompany a journal so maybe it would be more appealing if I had that but for me it just gave me bad vibes.

Impossible to stop subscription.. I’m basically throwing the notebooks away as soon as I get them. I emailed requesting to stop and they didn’t reply.

Beyond Disappointing. I really tried and I don’t do reviews but the disingenuous experience with this company has led me to this negative review. I loved the intention and wanted to support but when I attempted to cancel they locked me in for another year and the ability to manage your subscription was unusually difficult and they lack a viable phone number. It reads scam and it exploits those who really are seeking an elevated experience of positive energy. I tried many times to do outreach here and no reasonable response. Invest elsewhere. This platform will disappoint.

Impossible to cancel. I requested the recurring subscription be cancelled a month prior to renewal date and they still auto-renewed for another 3 months. Customer service is horrible.

Beware! They won’t stop charging you!!!. I had gone online and canceled my subscription months before it was up for renewal. I knew it would continue for the time period I already paid for but don’t find the product useful at all! Then today I get a renewal notice that they charged me for another year! I will be filing fraud charges cause this is not ok! Went online and canceled yet again but even when it is canceled they won’t let you remove your card info!!!! Seriously a scam and needs to be reported everywhere!!!!

Upgrade. After being forced to update this app it is now frozen and won’t work at all!

Don’t download unless you want to pay monthly for social media. I was super disappointed to see that I couldn’t post or comment anything unless I subscribed to them. Maybe some other features are nice if you just want inspo for journaling and such but otherwise I can’t use this app the way I had hoped without having to spend. Once again, low income users are limited.

BEWARE. Extremely hard to cancel. The process is dodgy, not straightforward, and sketchy.

Worst customer service. Even if you request to cancel before the period ends, they will charge you after your request to cancel and then will not refund your money. If the truly hope to grow, they better have improved customer experience. I can understand that this product wasn’t for me, and I would never leave a bad comment because of that… but when you charge after I request to cancel, you have a morality issue.

Not a good company or app. Not happy at all with the app. I paid for my subscription went to log into the app and it stated my email and password were wrong… I just made the account and paid for everything. Feels like a giant scam not happy at all.

Didn’t realize you have to wait to be accepted. You can wait or pay up front without ever using it. I didn’t check my email to see if they ever accepted me. But taking a quick search I don’t think I did. I already deleted the app. I hope they delete my information which the requested up front. Only when I hit submit did they make themselves clear. Is it a tactic to steal personal information? They say they screen you for their exclusive community. This should be mentioned in the app description like the first sentence….

Difficult to cancel. If you make the decision that the service is not for you, they make it incredibly difficult to cancel. I logged into their website to cancel and could not find the cancel button. So I tried to pause my subscription for a month until I had more time to figure it out (my husband has been in the hospital and I’m taking care of 3 kids on my own). Despite pausing the subscription, they still charged me. I contacted them and asked them to cancel. I got some generic response saying if I wanted to cancel I had to go onto their website and log in to cancel (again, already tried this) and they wouldn’t give me a refund because I didn’t cancel before my subscription renewed (but I had tried to pause it…. They just ignored it). This is extremely fishy and dodgy. It’s also insulting that in their generic copy and paste response that they called me “their favorite customer” when they clearly didn’t bother to read the message I sent them. I really don’t know what to do to get them to stop charging me because I’ve contacted them and they show no interest in actually helping me. I would not recommend giving them your credit card information.

Lowkey a scam. The few parts that are free are great and you get ok usage out of it, but so much of the app is limited (participating in the community, how many affirmations you get, rituals, etc.). The creators expect you to pay at least $35 per month for a membership subscription (via their website) and that’s where pricing starts. The bingos are fun to play, but some are also a little, uh, meant for people with big money. For example, one of the bingos (I think it was Meha’s favorites) had “visit and stay at a 5-star luxury hotel”, “travel first class”, and a bunch of other things that a person who does not have that kind of money cannot afford. I ended up checking them off saying “ok well I visited the website of a 5-star luxury hotel and I traveled the world via Google Earth/Maps, so that counts.” Every time you check a box off, a pop up comes up asking you how you feel about the accomplishment and it’s difficult to exit out of that pop up. When you get a full bingo or a whole row, it’s difficult just to exit out of that pop-up. Daily journal prompts give you 2 options — most of which do not promote deep thinking for wellness, but rather, ones you can find on Pinterest or Google under “simple writing prompts.” Free members get 15 affirmations a month and that’s it — you’re better off writing a bunch in your Reminders app on your phone and setting them off at different times periodically throughout the day. App has a cute set up, but definitely not worth downloading in my honest opinion. I like following them on social media and that’s it; investing in them seems sort of like a scam and an MLM.
