I’ve been having an issue whereas if I have music playing in my house, walk into my garage and begin to use the app listening to music there, the music in the house stops. It’s the only app like this that does this. I’ve messaged the developer Twice and received No Reply. Yes, it’s a lovely app, but it’s not working for me, it’s Not Cheap (retired & handicapped) and heinous Support from developer at all, making the service Worthless

   Impossible to cancel, Impossible to contact support. The “cancel subscription” link in the app is broken. The help center link to cancel goes into the app, to the settings page with the broken “cancel” link. The mobile website doesn’t have a way to sign in to my account from the homepage. Total violation of subscription cancellation compliance laws.

   Terrible App. For ten minutes I tried to pull a specific piece of music up to listen to while I worked. After that much time, I should have been in well into the symphony. You really suck Idagio.

   Worse than useless. Paid for a subscription. Then discovered: 1. Their iPhone app only works with Apple Airplay devices; doesn't support Chromecast/Google Cast devices. So they're useless with half the audio devices in my home. Spotify, Tidal & other streaming platforms let iPhone users stream to both kinds of devices. Spotify even supports Alexa Echo speakers. Why not Idagio? 2. Worse, there's no Idagio app for Google Play so I can't use Idagio on my Sony TV. 3. There's an Idagio app for Apple TV devices but it ONLY permits access to videos, so it only supports the top tier Idagio subscription. Learned my lesson. Won't be renewing my Idagio subscription. I'll spend it on music platforms that aren't limited to one WiFi protocol & my headphones & make me run down my iPhone battery to listen to music.

   Terrible, do not bother!. First, the music only plays for the time until your phone screen goes to sleep, and then it stops so you have to reactivate it and listen to the music stop and go. Frustratingly useless. Second, Spotify has a much deeper classical collection. So many of my favorite albums I get on Spotify are not available on Idagio.

   Requires you to pay to play on demand. This was extremely disappointing. I was hoping this would be a free to use with ads app, instead it's shuffle play only.

   Fails to compete with Apple Classical and Roon. Idagio is no longer competitive. I subscribed for the trial period and then cancelled. There are better options, for three reasons. (1) Both Apple Music Classical and Roon (Qobuz and Tidal) offer true high resolution music, at 24/96 and even 24/192. If you have a high end audio system, there is a clear difference in quality between those high resolution services and Idagio, which only offers CD quality at 16/44. (2) Roon provides outstanding descriptions of the composers, artists, and music. The descriptions in Apple Classical are not of the same caliber and some are very abbreviated compared to Roon — but at least they provide something. Idagio offers absolutely nothing by comparison — nothing at all. They have a “background” tab, but if you click on it, it is empty. This is a fatal flaw in Idagio. If you want to learn something about the composer, artist or album, you need to read it on Roon or Apple Music and then listen on Idagio. Why bother? Why not just use one source that provides all of these features? (3) Idagio has too many technical problems. To name just one, they offer lectures on Bach by Schiff, but even if you pay for it, you will get an error message that it is a private video. Many of their videos are very old and poor quality. Apple Classical offers a search mechanism and catalog that can compete with Idagio, and it is free for anyone who pays for Apple Music or the Apple package. Most audiophiles already pay for Roon. Idagio simply doesn’t offer anything that is an improvement on the other two services to justify paying for it.

   Want to like it but …... The music selections and curation are good. The iOS app is awful. If you want to read anything in the app bring a magnifying glass. Additionally there is no font contrast. Dark gray on darker gray — who in the world thinks this is a good idea? Another issue: the album art cannot be downloaded or printed— a problem since the font is sooooo small. Beware.

    Great library unfortunately streaming doesn’t work. When I stream from my iPhone 12 Pro or iPad Pro it works for about a minute, then the wheel endlessly spins with no recovery. All latest iOS and app updates are installed and reinstalled. I’m able to stream other music and video services flawlessly. Nice library, but unfortunately useless. Even worse, I’m paying $10 per month for the + service and will have to cancel.

    App is so glitchy. Up until a couple weeks ago this would’ve been 5 stars. Unfortunately, now every time I try to play a piece in the app, it plays a few minutes and then glitches and stops. And it isn’t paused where I could restart it, I have to select the track again and start from the beginning. Can’t believe I paid for a year subscription. Please fix this.

    Tiny, tiny fonts! Little performer information, but great music.. A lot of great music (fantastic!), but surrounded by the worst UI design…tiny, almost impossible to read mini fonts - they have little concern for visual accessibility issues and supplying users with any depth of music information. For that, to learn about the piece or even much about who is playing, you better keep heading out to the broader internet to other music sites or even to Wikipedia. Even the album pages have miniaturized fonts that make it feel they don’t want you to see clearly the name of the piece or who is playing. And this really hurts when using the app on an iPad where most of the screen is full of blank space because the designer has chosen not to use normal sized fonts that people can actually see! Frustrating also, but very typical here, is that they really have a great text based magazine with wonderful articles abut music and performers but for some crazy reason on my iPad version, at least, to access it you need to go deep into your SETTINGS? to find the link! How nuts is that?! Like they don’t care if you use it or not? I only discovered the magazine by accident trying to go to the settings to try to fix the small fonts (can’t do it)! Uh, guys…how about putting the link to the mag on the home page?? Be proud of it… In short, this app has really great music wrapped in unfriendly hard to read design. So keep strong glasses handy, and other music sites bookmarked to learn more on what is playing.

    Not the best interface. I like to download albums to my phone for offline playback. Tracks don’t show up in my collection as individual tracks, instead I have to open the album and then select the track I want to listen to. It’s clunky with too many steps. It should be easier to navigate. Playback button is so small I have to squint to see it. You could stand to learn a thing or two from the Apple music user interface. Make the app easier to use.

    Substandard. Cannot stream music on Apple TV. It streams only concerts. Most music offerings are new releases of old recordings that are inferior to new recordings made on modern equipment. The album art is so small that you cannot read it. It will not expand so that you can read it. The iOS app is very slowww.

    No Help!. I have been trying to delete account and no one can ever help me!! So frustrating that every time I try to contact support it says back in 4 hrs or back tomorrow. I literally check every hour and not once has it said available now or they never even care to get back to me after I send them a message. If I could give this a 0 I would because there are apps that have bad customer service but THIS APP literally has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.

    AirPlay & HEOS. I have a fine sound system with ML speakers and Marantz AVR but cannot play IDAGIO on it. Where is the AirPlay function? Likewise, there is no integration to HEOS, a service which integrates music servers, etc. into sound systems. As it currently, stands I can only listen to IDAGIO selections on my iPhone. IDAGIO, please update your app to at least use AirPlay.

    Absolute Rip-Off. This is an amazing app with a vast selection of quality recordings. The issue I have is with the pricing structure- unless you pay for the most expensive plan you will lose your place in whatever song you were listening to as soon as you switch to another app. Lossless streaming is a very basic feature that comes with many other music streaming apps, but with IDAGIO that will cost you $200/year- without the lossless streaming feature the 9.99/month plan really is t worth it.

    App crashes constantly .. We want to love Idagio - the catalog and indexing are incredible. But it does not work well, al all, with Sonos. If it doesn’t start working better, we’ll be canceling our subscription.

    Canceled and still charged!. I canceled the same day I subscribed to the service and immediately after I realized they would bill upfront and for an entire year after the free trial. They charged my credit card (separate from the one linked to ITunes) and sent no receipt! I only found the charge while reviewing my cc statement. Currently waiting for my refund...

    Can’t find concerts I’ve purchased. I’ve purchased a few concerts through their website. I wanted to AirPlay the most recent one to my TV, but after downloading this app and signing in, I can’t find any information about my account or concerts I have tickets for. Useless to me without this obvious feature.

    Disappointing. Advertises itself as free but requires payment for almost every single feature. App constantly begs you for more and more money, is not at all user friendly, and is just generally useless. I do not see the point of using this over any other platform.

    Confusing interface, can’t cast. The interface is confusing and poorly laid out. PC desktop only has option for casting to Sonos. iPad casting to Apple or Google devices constantly crashing. Audio quality is great but useless without better software. Need to hire better programmers.

    Don’t subscribe. I bought a subscription, but when I tried to use the app, kept getting a message that I required a subscription in order to listen to anything. There seems to be no way to fix it. Thus would be a lovely app to have. I hope someone builds one that actually delivers the service one pays for.

    Not recognizing my subscription. For the last day or so, the application prompts me to subscribe, even tho I am a subscriber in good standing. There is no real direction within the application on how to get support for problems. Maybe this review will provide some resolution. If problem is resolved, I’ll provide an update with comprehensive review.
