   Impossible to use. I can’t even add a plant.. This app is impossible. I’m trying to add what I have growing in my garden and I can’t even SCROLL to select a plant, and I can’t search for it. Apparently strawberries don’t exist?! What?!?! Every time I try to scroll on their selection it scrolls down the whole page and then makes the keyboard pop up so you can’t even see the screen. I’ve uninstalled because this app is useless.

   Does NOT WORK. I’ve never written a review before so you know I am fed up writing this one. This app does NOT WORK. I’ve tried adding crops to my calendar 10 times and none of them will show up! I’ve tried restarting, readding, moving years, EVERYTHING. I thought it was going to be a very nice app to use IF IT WOULD WORK. Better off tracking my stuff on paper than this app

   Horrible on iPad. It’s a fixed window the size of a phone screen. Totally horrible on an iPad.

   Decent but UI not great on mobile. This is my first attempt at using a garden app. It is easier to use on the web and that’s how I set up my original plants. Now I use the app to look at tasks and add to the journal. When searching tasks or typing in journal, the keyboard interface blocks the search results or the save button. This is basic UI design failure. (Glad I didn’t pay for it.) 6/19/25: journal entry says I can’t save without comments but won’t let me tap in to type comments. 6/25/25: down to one star to get attention because I can’t submit a bug report (I tried days ago no response). Immediately after the update I’ve been unable to add photos to journal. 7/7/25: still no fix to photos not able to upload to journal. (It freezes and unable to complete or exit.) occasionally they will upload but most of the time breaks the app. I have to make sure I don’t waste time entering lots of details only for it to crash. (Apparently they responded to my chat asking if my issue was resolved instead of resolving the bug.) 7/23/25: journal photos still not fixed. 9/3/25: still not fixed. It will also freeze if you click add photos but cancel without selecting any. Reporting the bug again.

   Deleted app after seeing they wont let you delete your account if the app isn’t for you.. BEWARE: Two big issues with this app. First, and the worst, they don’t have any way for you to delete your account on their website. In order to preview the app, it requires an email. So your data is theirs even if you decide to not use their product. And secondly, this app was useless for me because they require payment in order to track any crop aside from the few they offer for free. They call these crops custom entries, and require a subscription to access this feature. So if you have a special crop, you cant enter in the data yourself without paying them. And returning to the first issue…if you give them your payment details and you cant even delete your account with them, then I fear that they may keep your payment details forever. Huge security risk in my opinion.

   Waste of money. This app is a waste of money. They are making you pay for something that is not completely useable. You are inputting information manually so they can use that info to update their database.

   Poor Customer Service. App was good. Didn’t really use it after initial planting last year. I didn’t realize it was on auto renew- I’ve reached out to customer service 3 times over 2 weeks and no one will even respond or attempt to help me cancel/refund membership. Very frustrating!

    Bait and switch. I am a big supporter of app development and new features. Was prepared to sign up and pay for a lifetime membership. However the “lead offer” disappeared at signup, the web feedback was not enabled and I no longer trust this group. Bummed as I was looking for a new platform and was willing to pay.

    Promising, but disappointing. You created an iPad app that doesn’t work on an iPad. The application appears so small on an iPad that it is unusable. While this app looks very promising, it’s not for me or anyone else that uses an iPad.

    What in the world?. I made an account online and then downloaded the app but it just has a tasks page, journal page and then like a menu page. That’s it. There’s nowhere to add a new crop or look at the calendar or anything. I’m pretty good with tech and I’ve clicked on everything but there’s just a bunch of search options to search the crops you’ve already put in but again, very basic and I see nowhere to add any new crops. Disappointing.

    Nice, but…. This app is worthless to me without an iPad version. Is that in the works? All these wonderful tools reduced to a postage stamp screen.

    Why can’t I add certain plants/seeds without paying for a premium account?. I downloaded the app yesterday watched the videos and started using the app today. Added 5 seeds types and on the last one I can’t add (asparagus) because it’s a premium seed?! It says add or create your own but there is no way to create your own in the mobile app. I’ll give it a few weeks and see if it’s useful but hiding certain seed/ crop types to get a subscription signup seems super shady.

    Confusing. It’s very hard to figure out how to use it if you already have your plants transplanted into the ground. This app seems only useful if you start logging things before you ever plant or start anything. It’s too frustrating. I’d rather just keep a journal.

    Clearly not well tested on iOS. I wanted to like this but the interface was not setup for iOS. Can’t quickly scroll through long lists. Keyboard pops up over text boxes. Hard to determine if it’s useful when the basics aren’t there.

    Not good for iPad. Unfortunately this app is currently limited to only a vertical orientation on iPad. With the limited vertical orientation you can literally view only a week or two of the calendar and you can’t visualize the work ahead or see the tasks laid out as they describe. I think this could be a great app but not having a landscape orientation available for iPad really limits its functionality.

    Work in progress. Looking forward to continued updates. Will be very helpful to have a phone app and hopefully android is coming soon. Right now it’s on my iPad and not functioning very well. It doesn’t want to update my tasks when I mark them complete.

    Not what I need. I downloaded this to try since I am new to growing sprouts. However, this app is a little confusing and I believe it’s for planting outside. I’m not sure what zone I’m in or if that is for a garden. If you are someone who gardens or grows food outside, this can help you. Not for growing sprouts in a mason jar.

    Not what I expected. I didn’t need a layout planner….i was looking forward to the idea of putting all my plants in and then getting an easy to follow to do list while in the garden or while I’m inside, planning for that day. Instead, all I’m getting is “check the app for things to do!!!” That’s not really what I was expecting. A few other suggestions…. I wish I could filter the calendar to view just this week’s items. Then the columns would resize and we would be able to see more of the text for the tasks, not just the first letter. I’d like to be able to customize the width of the plant column on the left. Right now it’s either first 3 letters (not enough) or wide enough for the longest entry (way too much). Also, filter the calendar by categories like cole crops or root crops, nightshades or flowers or herbs.

    Lacks some basic functions. I’m sure this app has some value but it is quite frustrating to navigate when you hit the back arrow and instead of going to the last page you were on it sends you all the way back to the main menu. Watching the Planning a Garden Video we are advised to check out the Sample Garden plan document “while watching the video”. Okay I checked it out then wanted to go back and continue the video but had to again go to main menu > classroom menu > planning a garden > then find where I left off on the video! I don’t know if this problem exists on the pc app but it is causing frustration for me on the mobile app.

    Needs improvement. This is a useful tool for keeping track of many of your seeds, when to plant, when to transplant and when to cultivate. However, if you plant late late, the app does not take this into account at all. It will tell you to harvest based off the original planting date. Also, it doesn't check to see if certain things germinated. Deleting those items is not straightforward and kind of a pain. So, useful, but still needs some work.

    Works okay, but lacks desired features. It has worked okay, but I wish it included the option to map out the garden (preferably multiple gardens). It’s frustrating because no apps seem to have good options to track gardening tasks and map out the garden without paying for the app which really isn’t in my budget. It’s also frustrating that the selection of plants and varieties of different species are quite limited.

    Nice app but could use improvements.. This app is nice and does help me stay more organized. The bad: Inability to delete overdue tasks is quite silly. There are seeds which maybe don’t germinate or bed preparation / cultivation that never occurred. Delete should be a fundamental function of any data app. Forcing marking something I didn’t do as “Complete” is a bit silly. At the very least, let me mark tasks as “skipped.” When I complete a task, there should either be an automatic journal entry or choice to log the completion as a journal entry and bring the crop over to it. It would be nice for the anchor task to be Transplant instead of Seeding. No, it’s not hard to calculate the seeding date based on when I know I want to transplant, but it’s cumbersome when 90% of my crops are transplanted. I’m in a climate where the first and last frost date are 25 days apart and I grow a lot of stuff in our mild winter, so it would be nice to have “Manual” as the default anchor date for us tropical/subtropical folk who aren’t very concerned with frost dates. I would love to have ability to save the pictures I take in the companion app to my phone’s storage in a seedtime album. Right now if I want to save a picture to my photo album that I took in the app, I have to take a screenshot. Maybe an option for automatic save to photo album. Reminders based on task would be a great addition to the “notifications”. Remind me of upcoming planting times so I can make sure I have my seeds ready to plant. Sometimes seeds sell out from suppliers around the time to plant, so a reminder ahead of time would help in that regard. The new layout feature is a plus (on web browser only)but not the best one out there and this is the exact reason I paid for the upgraded version. Would be great to have it in the companion app. Mobile web browser makes it too cumbersome. The Good: Educational material is great to have. I’ve learned some good stuff. Saving templates saves a lot of time, but I still have to change my seed date to manual when I use a template to create a new crop. The user interface is easy to use. Discount on seeds makes it worth buying from seedtime store. Conclusion: I do like this app, but if I’m going to keep paying for the upgraded version, and use this as my one stop shop for garden planning, there needs to be some improvements.

    Helpful but I wish it was optimized for larger screens. This app could be truly amazing if it just had a few tweaks. The biggest one would be optimizing it to extend to larger screens. I downloaded this on my iPad only to realize after an hour of logging my seeds I could not expand the calendar to full screen. This makes looking at the app quite difficult. I’d like to expand the calendar and get a clearer view. Also, not sure if this is a feature in the paid version (I am just using free) but to be able to export tasks/data to your google calendar or iCal would be great. I hope to see some of these little tweaks down the road but ultimately it should hopefully still prove useful despite the tiny calendar space.

    Great Start. Great start! Excited about app. One glitch I noted is when marking an overdue task completed, the overdue warning pops up and the YES button is scrolled off my screen on iPhone 11. I can not scroll to it.
