   Stopped working on every site. The past five recipes I have tried to put in the app were “formatted incorrectly” which is wild. These sites are ones I have used before and gotten recipes from before. They didn’t suddenly change to a new formatting type. But no, no matter what sort of link I put in, the app won’t accept it. So then I’ll try to enter it manually. Except the app closes and resets every time I navigate away from it. Like when I go to the web page to see what next ingredient I need to individually copy/paste, because I can’t copy/paste the entire list. So I have to save the recipe after every edit, then open it again to add the next part, so adding a long recipe can take upwards of 20+ minutes, to the point that just scrolling through the recipe would be faster by far. To top it off, you can’t highlight more than a single word at a time, so that even if you copy/pasted everything, it’s an exercise in frustration to try and move them around. There’s no way to create headings and such in the recipes, like recipes that are imported have. So you can’t differentiate between say, a marinade and the rest of the ingredients.

   Needs lots of work. So this app only has one thing it needs to do, extract recipes. It will not do so from Facebook, Instagram isn’t working, and it might or might not do so from the web. So far my experience it’s been about 30% success rate

   Deletes Recipes. I had quite a few recipes saved that started disappearing every time I tried to click on a collection. I’d say about 75% of them disappeared recently.

   Not happy when around 50 of my saved Recipes just disappeared today!. This app just erased 99% of my saved recipes today. Tried logging out & logging in again & they are gone! WTH?! I am paying for Premium.

   Does not sync between devices. 18 January 2025: I purchased a subscription to this app more than a year ago and despite its ease of use, IT STILL DOES NOT STAY IN SYNC BETWEEN DEVICES. I have written multiple times; however, the developer does not reply or respond to suggestions. Honestly, the fact that the app does not sync in this day and age is just really stupid. It is extremely aggravating. Additionally there isn’t any provision to import or export files so that you can manually keep devices in sync. When I try to convert measurements to another standard (Metric <—> Imperial), the app asks me to subscribe to enable the features including unit conversion. I ALREADY HAVE A SUBSCRIPTION !!! Set a program flag to avoid nagging a user to subscribe when they already are subscribed. The app always assumes the quantity of the recipe is in servings. Hello … wake up developer. Recipes for sauces, salsas, and other condiments are not measured in servings they are measured by volumes. If entering a recipe manually because the app cannot find a recipe on a webpage, you have to cut & paste ingredient by ingredient, direction by direction which is OK; however, each and every item you paste pops up the nagging question of whether you want to allow or not allow the paste which gets pretty old really fast. Snagging recipes off the internet is a hit or miss proposition. Way too many sites pasted in come back stating ‘recipe cannot be found’ even though in plain sight. Nice idea; but, half-baked at best and tjis was the primary reason for getting this app and subscribing. Suggested update features never seem to come into being with voting system and developers never reply back to issues, bugs, or suggestions. Now I lay the bread to rest; Just the Recipe passed not tests. So I part the usage and delete this app and turn to one that is better conceived, engineered, programmed, and UATed for proper UC and UE. ‘Just the Recipe’ seems smooth on the durface; but, it is fraught with issues and the lack of proper Use Cases in development. My advice: LOOK FOR SOMETHING ELSE.

    no app support, lost 30+ recipes. I reached out to support after the app deleted 30+ of my recipes a month ago, TWICE and never heard back. I am devastated, I input those recipes by hand and it took me months to curate my collection. I tried so hard to get them back....app is VERY unstable. DO NOT store your recipes here!

    Not gonna try anymore . . . .. **UPDATE** After being contacted by Apple, I gave this app one more chance. No go. Out of ALL the apps on my iPad, this one does not open; I get the spinning red circle, let it spin a bit, then give up. So, still just one star for the good idea. But fruitless nonetheless. Dumping. This app was recommended by AARP. I tried using it on my iPad which the developers say is compatible. No go. I was able to save two recipes but my other failed attempts just didn’t work. Lots and lots of buffering. Then the message that the recipe couldn’t be found. So, I’m removing the app from my iPad. The concept is great, thus the one star, but it’s just too frustrating.

    Free version doesn’t open. I just installed the app and trying to open it to test a recipe url but the app just spins and never loads. Cannot convince me to pay for upgrade version if I cannot even open it.

    Great until I couldn’t print. It was nice until I couldn’t print. A subscription service to just print is awful, it makes sense to be able to keep lots of recipes, but yeah…

    Use to be good. Loved using this app to keep track of recipes but in the last month I would say more than half the recipes I’ve tried don’t register in the app.

I have had several recent recipes not load into the app and several where information was not correctly loaded into the correct place. I was a strong supported and early subscriber of this app but am growing more frustrated by the apps performance.

    Everything was working fine until…. I use this app for work, so I have the recipes formatted a certain way. My words are capitalized and spaced so that the recipe amounts are lined up. Today, every time I open one of the recipes, the format changes and automatically saves. Now every word has moved to the left, all of my capital letters are now lowercase and it looks messy. I’m a Pastry Chef and this frustrating. The app is automatically changing everything I’ve done. If I need to print another recipe, I’ll have to retype everything and I dont have time for that. And I’m paying for this!

    Handy but limited…. The app does what it says. It filters out the noise from web-based recipes. However, it falls short of being useful as a library for all of your recipes because it lacks a lot of features. There is a manual entry option, but it is clunky and full of controls that you cycle through one after the other. MyFitnessPal recipe entry by comparison is streamlined. You can freehand all of the ingredients in one giant Text box and it will interpret it for you. If you’ve got a recipe as a PDF, Word doc or Text file, this app has nothing for you. Have a binder at home with family recipes in it? There’s no way to take a picture and import. In fact, there is no import of any sort apart from a website. To their credit, the list of websites is extensive. I dropped the rating another star because I find the interface counterintuitive. Lots of room for improvement. I have used this app for a few years now and would love to see it evolve.

    Subscription should be one time fee. Give us an option for like $2-$5 to save unlimited recipes and I’d pay for it. I don’t need any other feature from the “premium”. I’ll continue to save my recipes in a browser bookmark folder to avoid paying a subscription - we have way too many of those in our lives now.

    More and more it cannot find the recipe.. This app needs to be updated/upgraded with smarter code. Where I used to be able to get “most”recipes, more and more the current code is not finding the recipe.

    Not sure what's going on.... This used to be really great app. You bought it once and used it. Now they seem to be changing it to a subscription service. Not sure I wanna keep doing that. I think that the money grabbing is getting a little too much these days. As well, it’s having some difficulties with saving and editing. If you’re gonna charge more money for it, you better make it work better and make it worth my while.

    Almost there. I love the app for its removal of all the junk so we can get just the recipe. I wish there was a way to organize the recipes alphabetically. I also would love to not have to ‘allow’ the app to paste a link every time (that could just be settings, need to explore more).
