   I cannot recommend. I have used Genius Scan for about eight or nine years. I loved it. At the end of last year I lost access of my account and could never access my documents again. I was told to reset my password which I have done at least 20 times. That is the only support I’ve received and that is not OK. I just renewed my subscription March 2026 and still have not been able to access my account. I have many documents that I will never be able to get to again. You guys suck. No follow through aka customer support. Only that stupid message telling me to reset my password. Thanks for nothing. Sincerely Your eight + years Genius Scan customer, no more.

   Genius scan. Have users this App for as long as i remember. It has always improved its features and stayed ahead of my needs. I count on this multiple times every month.

   Degradation of free tier. We used to want to scan photos as we wanted, but now we have to manually add each every photo. I understand doing this to new users, but not all users. I will be switching.

   Double charge. I have been trying to get in contact with you guys through email. I have been charged for basic and ultra for quite some time now and I have not heard back from anyone. I don’t see how I can cancel the basic and keep the ultra as it does not give me the option. I have sent screen shots of the charges coming out of my account and screenshots of what shows as my subscription type. I have not received a response to this day.

   Scans are not backed up. I used to love this app, but then I lost my phone and I lost all my scans. I realized to my chagrin that they were not stored on iCloud backup. I saw that Genius Scan sells a feature to back up your scans, but I wasn’t fully confident with the security provided by an app company like this. I would much prefer backups on iCloud. I just found another scanner app that uses iCloud for backup.

   Ok Scan. The original version was better when you can continue to scan additional pages without going to an extra step of having to select add a page and then select the option you want before you can scan the next page. Bring back the old version. I would have given this 5 star if old version was still available. Also there’s always error saying camera cant be used during multi tasking when I have nothing else opened or any other apps being used

   Illegal Activity on My Account. Someone had access to my settings on my account, genius and actually changed all the photo and create a rule on there to make all my photos auto export to JPEG when I had higher quality on Apple and I shot all my photos on Apple without genius so I want this app shut down immediately for doing that to me illegally.

    Email problems. I have upgraded to their better service. I am having a problem where I cannot export files to my email and I don't know how to fix it. That makes this worthless to me.

    Not good anymore.. Used to be good. But the last several months, even with the updates; its auto scan sucks, it’s slow. You end up having to rescan several pages.

    LONG Time customer. I have a new phone and I'm trying to restore my purchase and I click on restore purchase and it clicks and it goes nowhere, can someone help me restore my purchase? ( it's on an old Apple account. It would be awesome if you could switch it to my new Apple account.) you guys have always been great over the years thank you. PS I only put a one star to grab your attention. I'm going to change it. Of course once you respond as I expect thank you.

    Awful. It would not send my files to my email in a timely fashion. I have had a couple of missed assignments because my professor requires this app. But it sucks and I have turn in assignments late because of it. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

    Missing Titles. It either cuts off the titles of what I’m scanning or whites them out. I don’t understand why it does that or how to change it and it’s very frustrating.

    unable to send to email. unable to get help and gave been charged for an app that does not work. I even got my IT guy to try to connect but nope!! And can't find help. I want to cancel and get a refund

    Absolutely horrible scanning. I’ll try to scan receipts and the text is too dark and blurry and I’ve never had this problem before I’ve scanned over 22 page documents that came out clear but scanning a receipt the black text is blurred 😡

    Fraudulent subscription. I was involuntarily subscribed. They charged my credit card. I never subscribe to anything. I don’t voluntarily subscribe to anything yet they found a way to create an order and charge my account without my knowledge.

    Lost all my data. This app was good to me for so long, until I realized that my account had “gotten deleted” and no longer backed up my documents. I reached out to support and nothing useful was told to me. I ended up losing all my data, which is very unfortunate. Support did not seem to care and just sent me a bunch of articles to “read” in order to help my situation.

    Beware of Scam Subscription Charge. Tried it for «free ». Couldn’t get it to work in the tutorial. So I deleted and tried to cancel my subscription. Because I was a few days late I was charged $40 for a full year.
