   Disappointed. Plain was delayed an hour so couldn’t make tour wanted a later time or any other day. Viator could care less and stated their policy was 24 hours to cancel. These circumstances are beyond anyone’s control. I didn’t want a refund, simply a later time or a different date. Do not recommend going forward.

   3 Tours Cancelled on me. I had 3 tours cancelled on me 3 days in a row with 24 hours or less warning. It has never happened to me before and I have been using Viator for years. Not sure what is going on.

   Why make it so complicated. Just logging into this app sends you on a circular journey of emails with limo’s that bring you to the app which prompts a second email validation, and a third, and so on. Why not just make it easy to login and get your tickets?!

   Unhelpful in event of issue. We had used this app for one trip. When the event went fine no issues it’s an adequate app/service. However we had an issue where we booked something and the event host was unhelpful and we were unable to find the meeting location to attend the event. When we reached out to get a refund for the event we weren’t able to attend… the host stated they gave us the address (which we passed multiple times before the event start time and saw now one) and that there was nothing they would do for us. We then reached out to customer support at Viator and they were unwilling to listen to our side of the story and unwilling to help us find a compromise for the situation. Be wary of all reviews and if you are to book make sure you have no issues as no one will help you to remedy the situation.

   Yall Almost ruined my trip.. Booked my snorkeling trip of a lifetime to Hawaii. I never was able to book it in time. Did it reserve now pay later. Fast forward to pay later and your system isn’t recognizing my credit card and now I gotta rebook. Except the tour is totally sold out. Missed it again because your incompetence. I’ll never use your app again. No one could help me.

   Tour operator didn’t show up, company refused to refund. We bought “priority access and a guided tour” of the British museum, we were at the meeting point on time, no one showed up and the company refused to issue a refund bc “the operator didn’t approve the refund “ what a scam.    Help!. About a week ago, I set up a tour for the Mauna Kea for $289 a person for two people. A couple days later I realize that the date I chose would be less desirable so I changed that to the next day. I thought everything was fine until I had to verify that I would pay in full in order to make that change. Now I got a verification that says everything is paid, but they’ve got the wrong date on it. And I can’t get any response from the person I signed up through. I don’t need this kind of trouble.

   Unbelievably Unprofessional. Extremely unprofessional. I accidentally booked a tour for the wrong date (tomorrow) and was refused refund even though I instantly cancelled within literal minutes of pressing ‘enter.’ Customer service was totally unhelpful. Avoid at all costs and look elsewhere

    Scam alert. This is a scam I booked a “scavenger hunt “ it was an AI generated scam asking me to log in to what’s app the restaurant they sent me to was closed over a year ago. all of the positive reviews on here are AI bots do not buy anything from this scam company

    Redemption Plan So Foolish!! Earn credit and Work at Using it for future purchases!. My wife and I booked two tours for $598. So Viator stated they would give me redemption dollars on my next purchase. So then when we went to book our next tour together we were NOT able to book and REDEEM the earned on credit on my profile! Of course it did not tell me “why”I was unable to make the purchase and redeem my credit. I had to guess, get frustrated and get online to chat, making the whole next purchase a 45 to 60 minute ordeal. And I had to risk buying my tour at 9am separately from my wifes tour.

    No verification. They don’t verify their tours. Some are scams, some cancel for no reason and there’s little heads up. I’ve booked multiple tours with them and they’ve all cancelled. Use a different provider!!!

    Canceled Colloseum Underground Tour. I can't believe they canceled my tour last minute today without any notice. I did my research and the cost for this tour went up to $660 and I paid $387. This company would not even offer me a discount code. The only discount would be 5 percent if I booked 2 tours. Be aware they will cancel when ever they feel like with this company with no explanation!!!

    Terrible. Never use this app. Had three tours in Italy get cancelled the day before with no warning or explanation. Buying tickets for attractions without a tour guide doesn’t actually get you tickets, someone from the booking company just goes early and charges you at least double for tickets you could easily have gotten yourself. Do not trust this app.

    No easy way to contact support. Their Help Article says to contact support - scroll to the bottom of article. There are NO links at all to contact a live support or text chat. One of my tours was canceled and all of our “rewards” disappeared!

    Canceled my reservation last minute. Booked a ticket to the Frida Kahlo 18 days in advance with the app. They sent me a confirmation at 10:30 AM the day before, I clicked on the link at 3:39 PM and took a screenshot. Showed up for my 10:30am reservation only to be told it was cancelled. Vioator sent me an email canceling my reservation at 9 PM at night and blamed me for not seeing the email. Took an hour Uber to get to the museum and then found out I had no ticket with no option to get a ticket as they were sold out. Specifically booked with Viator because my mom had her ticket at 10:45am. App should not sell tickets they do not have. Do NOT recommend this app. Called Customer Service and they had no solution than to book me on another day, the entire day was planned around the museum visit with my mom and friend. Unprofessional and disappointing. Do better.

    Customer is always wrong. Customer service is completely ignored. I booked four tours in different cities. Two of them called enforced different time without giving me option specifically knowing that you’re in a foreign country and you booked everything in advance. Even when the advertising is incorrect as misleading, via a tour failed to properly and legally remedy the situation. Customers rights are grossly violated.

    No tour operator support. Viator is just a 3rd party booking app like Expedia. No real support other than “we left a message with the operator”. No guarantees so basically it’s all non refundable events.

    Cannot Cancel Reservation. Within 48 hrs of making a reservation for a tour 4 months from now through this app, I needed to cancel the reservation. I tried repeatedly to cancel through the app, with no success. I attempted to reply to the confirmation email - it is not possible to send them emails. I tried to cancel through the app messaging, and received no reply after two hours. DO NOT TRUST THIS APP

    Terribly user inteface. This app cannot decide if it’s built for actual tour companies or the end user buying tickets and as a result is a Frankenstein mess. We booked a tour, got a voucher with a QR code (no link) so you have to scan the QR code with a SECOND phone to view the actual tickets. Seriously who designed and built this application? It’s horrific.

    Difficult to deal with. I have unfortunately had to use Viator several times in the past few years. It is always a problem if your ship changes dates, or your plans change unexpectedly. Finding the chat button is cumbersome. They won’t let you cancel and rebook with one request. You must cancel fully then rebook again . Get your guide is always been much easy to deal with. Everytime I book with them I say just watch something will happen. It always does.

    Cannot login. We are on vacation on a cruise ship in the Mediterranean and i have been having a very difficult time logging into the Viator App and website. Says, Something went wrong. Very frustrating. Finally got in using a VPN.

    Randomly cancelled our tour 1 week prior. I will never use Viator. Booked a once in a lifetime trip to Rome primarily to see the Colosseum. And one week before our tour I received an email saying the tour is canceled and a refund is being issued. However, now it’s too late for me to be able to book an alternative. Severely impacting my trip I do not recommend via tour. I would give them negative stars

    Good site/service, bad app. Viator’s web site is great and its selection of tours and reviews is outstanding. The app, however, is a mess. There’s no central place to view bookings or retrieve tickets, and many of the links require multiple, often-circular trips to email to find one particular link in a sea of reminder and confirmation emails. Would be much better and easier to use to just be able to confirm an email address once and actually have central access to tour bookings and tickets than the distributed mess that’s currently required.

    Disagreement. Sydney Australia airport transfer provider notified me that our pickup time was outside of normal operating hours and wanted $55 more. According to Viator that our cancellation request was within 24 of event. Disagreed totally as there is a time difference as it also was across international date line making it even more than 24 hr. Went back and forth with Viator who was adamant about 24 hr cancellation time for refund. It didn’t make any difference that the provider violated terms of booking by charging dbl to continue. Very frustrating. And disturbing that Viator wouldn’t budge their position. Request for cancellation was within the hr of notice on afternoon 4/15 (Hawaii)and pickup was on eve 4/17. (Australia)

    Bad customer service. We used this app to book some tours, in the case of one of the tours, they didn’t disclose information about the tour operators additional charges. The tour operator informed us about those one day before the day of the tour, at which point it was too late to cancel or make any other arrangements. The tour operator told us that these charges are not hidden fees and they have been disclosed on their website, they showed us their website and we went over the Viator listing together and saw there was no mention of these fees . They told us that it is Viator that pulls information from their website and therefore it’s viators responsibility to disclose those fees. When we asked for a refund of those extra fees because it was their fault that we had to pay them, Viator refused to take responsibility, and tried to get that refund from the tour operator which they obviously refused as it wasn’t their fault. We had booked with Viator because of the flexible cancellation policy and the belief that they would handle such issues if they happen, but it is better to directly book with the tour operator. Viator offers the same cancellation policies that the tour operator would directly (often these are not as clearly stated on their websites). It’s a good app/website for getting information, but no accountability.
