   Previously Free Features Now Fully Locked Behind Subscription. I originally downloaded Avrora a few years ago and used it occasionally for simple things like the breathing exercises and sleep sounds (rain, ambience, etc.). At the time, I remember being able to use parts of the app without paying, which made it easy to come back to whenever I needed something calming. After not using the app for a while, I recently opened it again expecting the same experience, only to find that the entire app is now locked behind a subscription. There are currently no usable free features at all unless you pay $3.99 weekly or $69.99 annually. That change was really disappointing. I actually liked the app and would have happily continued using the basic features I relied on before. However, locking everything behind a subscription makes the app inaccessible for people who only want occasional or minimal use. It’s also a bit misleading that the App Store listing doesn’t clearly indicate the full subscription requirement upfront in the same way many apps do. You only discover the pricing structure once you’re inside the app or after digging through the detailed information. I understand developers need to monetize their work, but removing all free functionality from an app that previously offered it feels like a step backward. Bringing back even a small selection of free features like basic breathing exercises or a few sleep sounds would make the app far more approachable and likely encourage more people to stay and consider subscribing. Right now, it’s hard to recommend this app because you can’t even try the app before being asked to pay- which is completely absurd. Feels money grabbing AND misleading. I’ve also noticed responses to similar reviews mentioning discounts or promotion codes. While that might help some users, it doesn’t really address the main issue: the app can’t be used at all without paying. Even a small selection of free features would make a big difference. I understand that apps need to cover maintenance and development costs, but removing all free functionality from an app that previously offered it feels like a step backward. Bringing back a few basic options like breathing exercises or a limited number of sleep sounds would make the app much more approachable and easier to recommend. My reccomended alternative apps that dont require subscription: “Rest” “SleepWell” “TheGrove”

   Lost my lifetime membership?. I updated my phone and now I can’t restore my lifetime membership to this app? What happened?

   Purchase Vanished. Bought a lifetime subscription years ago because I used the app quite frequently at the time. Stopped using it for a while, broke that phone, replaced it with a new one and what do you know- the lifetime subscription disappeared. Cant restore the purchase, cant find the transaction after all these years and to top it off, they dont even offer the lifetime membership anymore- its now just their annual price. I never stopped getting the push notifications but come time to actually use the services I paid for, I gotta pay up again. But no worries, the monthly is only 5 times the amount it was when I bought the lifetime membership… which is why I bought the lifetime membership. Went into the app to see if they upgraded the service by five times. Same voices, same prompts, same soundscapes, with a slightly updated interface. Gotta love when tech companies punish the early investors.

   all of a sudden, it is not free to use. I’ve been using this app for years to help fall asleep from insomnia, anxiety, etc. Now y’all want me to pay weekly or yearly to use it and that’s a little ridiculous to me as many of the people who use the app struggle with mental health upon many other problems.

   Money. I used to be able to use this app for free but no in order to use the app I need to pay 3.99 or 69.99 a year. Thanks to that I have to use YouTube and risk having ads and not sleeping as well as I used to. So I will update my rating once I can use the app without having to pay. I want the developers to know that people use this app for sleep.

   HACKED!!??. After using the app the first time it required me to leave me phone on overnight for it to track me sleep. So I did. And then I wake up and my phone is on a different screen and I look in my photos and there’s a screen recording of someone going through my phone and taking pictures even though there was no one there??? My phone was faced down and there was a Live Photo and screen recording of the photo being taken with flash on. Of my ceiling in the same position I left it. This app is SCARY. do not get it.

   Where did the free content go???. Now I have to subscribe for sleep? This is messed up. I understand on the free version there were like two options. But seriously, this has got to be a joke

   I've had it for years why the change???. I struggle with sleep problems and for years I would use this app to help me sleep and I would use it to check the how long I slept and I just used the free version because that's what worked for me but now I can't even start the sleep ritual or listen to the rain noises without it saying I have to pay its sad yall prioritize monitary gain over the satisfaction of your users

   After years of use, we get this. After years of using this app, they began pushing subscriptions, then suddenly it got locked behind a permanent paywall and now the app is completely useless unless I pay for it. This is not ok as a business practice and whoever decided to go to this model should be fired

    I HATE THIS APP SM. If I could give it negative stars I would. At first the app wouldn’t even OPEN like I JUST downloaded this and it didn’t open unless I deleted it and installed it again. That’s not the only problem tho!!!!!! I try to set up the audio recording and it wouldnt let me move on to do that unless I did a STUPID breathing exercise and it didn’t even do anything to help me. I set it up so that the alarm sounds like a peaceful rainforest and I’m expecting to wake up to a calm rainforest sound. BUT NOOOO I WOKE UP TO HEAR THIS LOUD HAPPY FUN SONG THAT I DO NOTT WANT TO HEAR AND IT HONESTLY SOUNDED LIKE THE ANIMALS IN THE RAINFOREST WERE A BUNCH OF MONKEYS JUMPING AROUND!! I expected like rain and wind sounds as it plays when you play it but that is NOT what I woke up to and it honestly RUINED my day and I woke up so mad instead of what the app promotes which is calmness!! I HATE this app and when I tried to listen to the audio recording of my snoring and sleep talking which is what I downloaded the app for, it would not let me listen to it without buying a subscription which I AM NOTTTT PAYING TO HEAR MYSELF SLEEP THAT IS SO CRAZY!!! FLIP U STUPID APP AND FIX IT!😡😡😡 This app is trash YOU FEEL THE RUEING YOU FEEL IT⁉️⁉️⁉️

    Lost Lifetime Subscription When I Changed Phones. I purchased a lifetime subscription for this app on my old phone which was a Samsung phone. I made the switch from Samsung to Apple, and now I have an iPhone. Unfortunately, I can’t log in to this app through Google, which is how I logged in with my old phone, so now I have lost access to the subscription that I used every night. I’m really upset about this :(

    When it works it’s great, but……. When it works it’s great, but it doesn’t always work. I’ve reached out to their customer support a couple of times with no solution other than to delete it and reload it again. There’s no rhyme of reason why it doesn’t work (no music to wake me up at all). I’ve tried closing out all my apps and only having this one open and it doesn’t seem to matter. For this reason, I can’t give it a 5 star review I would normally have given it if it worked all the time.

    Really weird and broken app. I was just in my phone, and it started doing notifications saying”prepare for a good sleep” like normal but it kept doing it repeatedly. I even DELETED the app and it still did it! It made me have to restart my iPhone. Bad app.

    Total scam. On my first night using the app I thought , great, this is exactly what I need. But after one night I realized this app records every outside sound assuming it’s me snoring. I live on the ocean and the waves are constant. I tried to contact them twice to cancel my trial but I still got charged. Had to get PayPal involved since there was no option to cancel on my phone. Biggest scam out there!

    App does not work, no response from support. While this is a “subscription” service, it’s not available to cancel in your Apple account, and there’s no response to support issues. Audio files do not play for more than 10-15 seconds without stopping. I re-downloaded a few times, restarted my phone - no joy. Zero response from the developers, who promise quick service. Don’t make the same mistake. Please AVOID or you’ll be stuck.

    Thieves. I canceled this on day 3 of the free trial. Only to be billed yesterday fir a month. I’m trying to cancel but they make it impossible. Apple app needs to put another reason in “why” you don’t want this. That they’re billing you regardless. Give me my money back!!!!!

    Con artists. Once you get it you can’t unsubscribe because it won’t show up in subscriptions! They bill your card and you can’t turn it off so you have to get a new debit card and redo all your legitimate stuff under the new card. If you contact the app developer they don’t reply. Douche-canoes!

    Normal sleeping app. This set up billing wise where you will be forced to pay at least once before you can cancel your subscription if you didn’t do the subscriptions through the App Store. That makes the business very sketchy which made me loose sleep instead of help my sleep! Other wise is is a normal sleep app like others. Stories are okay and the get to bed routine is great.

    I confess, I wanted to know how much I fart in my sleep…. I saw an ad for this app somewhere, maybe Facebook? Some place where the algorithm knew I would be interested in knowing how much I fart in my sleep…do I wake myself up? What am I saying in my sleep? I was really interested. So I downloaded the app…and registered, but didn’t pay yet…because, you know, just gotta check it out first. And then, emails….in a single day, I received 11 emails from the app. Eleven. 11. And then more the next day. I gave up trying to use the app because I still haven’t been able to successfully unsubscribe from the barrage of emails (read:SPAM) that the app keeps sending me. So far what I have been able to determine is that this whole app is spam in a scam. Don’t download it, don’t pay for it, don’t register. It’s a waste of time. They’re just selling your info. I am at peace with only the universe knowing my sleep-fart trends.

    Changed Phones. Reached out bc I changed from Android to Apple. Logins are different. Basically was told there was nothing they can do. I had a premium account. Still waiting on a response to an email sent on 5/25. Definitely not solution oriented.
