Komoot is valued as a strong route planner with accurate maps and export to devices like Wahoo, and it's genuinely handy for travel and cycling. But after Bending Spoons bought it everything changed, veterans have to relearn planning, purchased map packs are nearly useless without a subscription, and every tap tries to push a free trial. On top of that route privacy isn't the default and there's no dedicated walking mode.
