Zombies, Run! 5K is a narrative C25K where every workout is an audio episode with voice actors and a zombie apocalypse. The motivation mechanic is fundamentally different: runners say they look forward to the next workout for the first time instead of putting it off. The program gets people to 5K without stopping. The weak point is technical: the app crashes at the end of a workout and does not save the result, which is the worst possible psychological moment in this product. No Apple Watch, no free Strava, no heart rate.
