The app around it, though, is done lazily, it is basically a photo of each page you have to squint at rather than a proper iPhone layout like competitors have. Worst of all, purchased issues cannot be read offline, it demands you sign in to your account at least once a week or access disappears.
The gap is large, storeAvg 4.73 against textAvg 2.91. Substantive reviews are almost all about offline reading requiring a weekly login and it being a photo of pages rather than a real layout, which does not match the near-perfect store score.
