An editorial reading of the saved reviews

A state-specific trainer for NY, and overlap with the real permit test is high: people say the NYC test is almost a copy of the app and pass after a day of cramming. Flashcards and the marathon test prepare you well. The main and nearly only issue is a barrage of ads every 1-2 minutes, some inappropriate for teens.

What people use it for

Teens and adults in New York State who want an accurate trainer for the local permit test. Be ready to endure a lot of ads or find a way to remove them.

What reviews praise

Accurate match to the real NY permit test, people call it a copy of the app and pass after a day of prep.
Flashcards and the marathon mode are handy, you can study on the commute and ease pre-test stress.

What reviews complain about

Ads literally every 1-2 minutes, after every question, and some cannot be closed and open the App Store, freezing the app.
Some ads are inappropriate for the teens who are the ones prepping for the permit.
In places you have to wait 30 seconds after a question.

What users experience

So just took my permit and passed. I studied for like a day until I got at least 1 out of 20 wrong or all correct and when I tell you the nyc real permit test is copy and paste I'm not joking it's literally the same damn thing this app is worth studying for !!
