Basic messaging and calls work stably, but the forced ChatGPT integration with no way to disable it triggered widespread discontent and hurt the rating. The product is losing trust because of changes users never consented to.

What people use it for

Diaspora communities and families communicating across countries

What reviews praise

Voice and video calls abroad work without notable interruptions, which users with family in other countries appreciate.

What reviews complain about

ChatGPT is embedded permanently in the chat feed and cannot be removed even through settings — the disable option does not work.

What users experience

I've been using Viber for years and have been very happy with it. I'm able to communicate by phone, text or video with loved ones who live abroad. Signal continues to improve. I have no complaints.

Remove chat gpt. I understand it's optional to use but I don't want it there at all. I want it gone. I don't want random message tab with chat GPT that drives me insane that I can't hide it, i don't want the bar on bottom show the icon in the center. Make it gone. I will never use it, never did.

now why tf are we having chatgpt in viber. im okay with viber since 2016 and now why we attached ai in a communication app required 0 ai involved. and i cant even delete it or take it off???? pls fix this

Viber pushed ChatGPT features on me that is intrusive. It is impossible to delete ChatGPT from my chat list. ChatGPT will appear in my chats with other users asking me to prompt things like remixing pictures. The app errors when I try to disconnect ChatGPT in the settings.
