Qobuz wins on audio quality and fair treatment of artists, which builds a loyal audience willing to tolerate its shortcomings. Unstable playback and weak recommendation algorithms prevent it from becoming a full replacement for Spotify for users accustomed to modern streaming convenience.

What people use it for
Audiophiles and people who want to support artists financially without sacrificing sound quality
What reviews praise
The high-resolution audio is genuinely audible without extra equipment, especially in the car and on good headphones.
What reviews complain about
The personalization algorithm is extremely weak: there is no way to block overplayed tracks, and daily and weekly picks are predictable and repetitive.
What users experience
1 excerpt from the breakdown. These are individual cases, not a verdict on all users.
I tried to wait for qobuz to get it together, waiting for the app to get better, for me to stop crashing out everytime the app would stop working or would recommend me the same garbage song, that I hate that I coincidentally can't block becuase no such feature exists.
