Google Keep wins on instant capture: sticky note, list, voice memo in one tap. Works well for short, disposable reminders. But search misses content and is slow, label-based organization is primitive, and some users' notes periodically disappear or fail to sync between devices.

What people use it for
Google ecosystem users who need to quickly catch a thought or make a list and are fine forgetting about it within a week. Not the best choice for long-term storage of important notes.
What reviews praise
- Voice memos with automatic transcription directly in the interface.
- Instant capture via a lock screen widget.
- Integration with other Google services works without extra setup.
What reviews complain about
- Search misses note content and runs with a delay.
- Structure is only through color labels: no nesting or folders, and with many notes things turn to chaos.
- Several users report notes periodically disappearing without explanation.
What users experience
1 excerpt from the breakdown. These are individual cases, not a verdict on all users.
I really want to like Google Keep because the concept is great, but using it on iOS has been incredibly frustrating. The biggest issue is the keyboard behavior. Whenever I'm editing a note, if I stop typing for about 5 seconds, the keyboard dismisses itself.
