Developers, researchers, and technical writers building a plain-text knowledge base synced via Dropbox or iCloud.

What reviews praise

Lightning-fast full-text search across all Dropbox files.
The extended keyboard with Markdown buttons speeds up typing.

What reviews complain about

No OneDrive or Google Drive support: only Dropbox and iCloud.
A custom iCloud folder is not directly accessible by default.
Updates are rare, though the stability compensates for it.

What users experience

2 excerpts from the breakdown. These are individual cases, not a verdict on all users.

I feel like I've downloaded (and bought!) nearly every writing, notes, and markdown app that is available for iOS. Sometimes I want something to take quick notes and with quick search to find them. Then I want something to compose longer material.

I love this app. Navigation is great, it supports [[backlinking]], ![embeds](), and #tags like a champ. I use Obsidian with iCloud and this pulls in all of my files with ease. My favorite feature is the customizable markdown extended keyboard.
