Noom combines behavioral eating education with tracking and coach access, which genuinely works for some users, but the interface has become heavy and overloaded with gamification after several updates.

What people use it for
People who need behavioral support and a coach rather than just a calorie counter
What reviews praise
The approach combining behavioral psychology, a food diary, and a live coach in one place helps people change their relationship with food rather than just count calories.
What reviews complain about
No fiber tracking at a premium subscription price, and the push notification reward animations ('seeds') that cannot be turned off irritate even loyal users.
What users experience
4 excerpts from the breakdown. These are individual cases, not a verdict on all users.
The psychology is good but the biggest place where Noom is failing its paid subscribers is there is no fiber tracking. In 2026 when fiber & protein are what we are being told is most important, we can't track both with a $200 subscription? When so many of us are on GLP-1s?
Excellent platform - it truly works and I've achieved results I was looking for. Now I'm in the habit of logging meals, and doesn't feel like a huge burden. Highly recommend.
Added the concept of seeds that I do not care about. But they will not let you opt out of seeds. The annoying part is every so often they give you the stupid seeds as rewards and freeze up the screen for 30 seconds.
The gamification has been taken to the extreme and it seems like I can't log a meal without 5 interruptions.
