Curb gives access to licensed taxis where they cannot otherwise be booked through an app, but driver match reliability is low: the search can fail after the countdown, and a cancellation fee hits immediately. ETA and address accuracy are consistently unreliable.

What people use it for

Passengers in New York or Chicago who specifically need a licensed cab rather than an aggregator driver.

What reviews praise

The only straightforward way to pay a regular yellow cab by card without cash.

What reviews complain about

The app begins searching for a driver with a delay and does not notify the user that no cars are available until the wait limit expires.

What users experience

1 excerpt from the breakdown. These are individual cases, not a verdict on all users.

I scheduled a ride and it began its search for a driver after the scheduled time and ultimately did not find a driver. Good app to raise the risk of missing a flight
