A countdown widget: create an event with a date and a photo, and the widget shows the number of days on your home screen. The mechanic is simple and works reliably. The free version is limited to one event, which is the main source of frustration. Widget designs are clean and come in several sizes. The counter occasionally slips by a day.

People who want to see a countdown to an important date right on their home screen without extra features.

What reviews praise

The home screen widget is a constant reminder of an upcoming event.
Vacation, date, concert.
Easy to pick a photo from your gallery as the widget background.
Several sizes for different grid layouts.

What reviews complain about

One event in the free version is a hard limit for anyone waiting on multiple dates.
Ads appear inside the widget itself, which looks odd.
Weak notifications: no sound alert when the event arrives.
