   Scam. I downloaded this app to help me study for an exam and forgot to cancel the free trial. Within just 5 days, I was charged $90 with absolutely no warning. I reached out to customer service and disputed it with my bank, but was unable to get a refund either way. The app itself offers very little value, and the customer support is essentially non-existent. A quick search on Reddit reveals this has happened to many other users.

   Trash & scammy. Signed up for a free trial a few years ago and tried to cancel instead of going through with the subscription because it just did not help at all. It said “We encountered an error while trying to cancel your subscription. Please try again later.” So I did and it said the same thing. Long story short I ended up forgetting about it for a couple years and so far have been charged about $200. I just noticed it and tried to file a dispute but Numerade fought back saying I provided my own card number email and everything. They rejected my dispute and I still cannot cancel this subscription. IT SAYS THE SAME THING STILL when trying to cancel. They do not have a customer service number., so I emailed them and never got a response back. I don’t know what to do. And I’m not the only one having issues like this with Numerade!

   Stay Away. Stay away! This is a complete scam. Difficult to cancel the trial and there are no emails to inform you of billing being processed. Customer support is unresponsive, and when you do receive a response it’s a generic blanket response. Update: I do not need further assistance. I only want to inform others of disingenuous business practices.

   Don’t get it! Impossible to cancel.. I signed up for a free trial to get help with one assignment. I canceled two days before the date i was supposed to be charged on. Everything looked good on my end, it showed no subscriptions. Well the last day of my free trial rolls around and I get charged $95 for a yearly subscription that I 1. didn’t even select upon signing up and 2. thought I cancelled. Don’t pay for this app, it’s not worth the money they drain out of your account. If i could give less than one star i 100% would.

    Cancellation. Never trust this app. They just out to steal peoples money. What was a one week free trial end up been $95 on my bank statement. Deleted the account the same day and they end up still charging me . That’s stealing from people to make it worse and not even a student what benefits is it going to be to me and the number that’s was given to me by my bank do not work either. I just wants my subscription to be canceled and any future payment

    Cancellation. They make it really difficult to cancel. I did the 7-day free trial but didn't find what I was looking for, so I attempted to cancel the subscription. Seven days later, I had a charge on my account for $95.40. I had to go back and cancel my subscription again. Both times I canceled, I never received any emails saying I had canceled.

    Terrible.. Used it for a question, got an unskippable video at an incredibly slow pace and THE VIDEO DIDNT ANSWER THE QUESTION. The memberships are also unrefundable, I don’t usually write reviews but genuinely do not give these people a penny, spend your money on chegg or another reputable service.

    Be careful they will not allow you to cancel your subscription. Numerade does not make it easy for you to cancel your subscription and will keep charging you. There is instructions on how to cancel your subscription. None of those instructions work to cancel through the app or online. This company is a fraud. Went online through their website and it says that there are no upcoming charges and my subscription is 0.00 however, they are still trying to charge me 29.99. Use a different app.

    Do not get. Horrible app, won’t let you cancel anytime as they state, the answers it gives are somehow always halfway and even by paying you have to watch ads meaning you have to pay even more for numerade+. It’s a scam and out to charge poor students out there, payment is every WEEK not monthly.

    Do not trust their billing!!!. I signed up for a free trial many months ago and almost immediately cancelled my subscription for the premium, as I only needed the premium account to look at one question and then I immediately went to cancel the subscription (as I always do when I sign up for a free trial) or so I thought, so I was surprised when I got a bill for the next month. Then, I unsubscribed again (so I thought). I didn’t see it in my credit card statements after that, so I thought I was successful. Now, more than 6 months later, I saw another charge, and that I had been paying them $20 a month for ~8 months. It was then a pain to get into my account and cancel the subscription. 100% not worth using. This is the first 1 star review I’ve ever left on the app store.

    Very slimy with their free trial. Like all subscription services, they are very slimy with their free trial, this is next level. I opted for monthly payment after the trial… In case this happened. It’s pricey, but I can handle being billed for a month or two. I was still billed for an annual trial, which is $179.

    Unusable. I’m a student and I’ve loved the website version of this for a while, but I thought the mobile version might be easier for when I don’t have access to my laptop. Not sure if this is just my phone, but the app is almost unusable. I can’t watch the videos in landscape and when I try to lock my phone in landscape to see if it will work it just stops playing the video and exits out of the video. I barely move my phone and it immediately exits the video too. I’ve tried multiple times to find a work around and so far nothing is working. Also, when I pause a video and try to unpause it again it freezes and won’t let me click on anything. I’ve tried restarting the app and it does the same things over and over again.

    They don’t cancel your account and continue to bill you. The answers and the content this app provided me were unsatisfactory for my course requirements so I went ahead and “deleted” my account shortly after opening it. I believe that deleting your account and all its data since I would never use it again would mean cancelling the subscription and deleting the payment information. However I was just billed $30. On reading other reviews and Reddit…I saw that successful cancellations and recurrent billing is a common issue and may require extensive follow up to ensure you aren’t wrongfully charged.
