- ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions
Paid not recognized. I paid for a subscription. The subscription shows in my Apple account. But I can’t log in or restore to a professional account.

Used To Be Great. The app used to be great.. then it just stopped working. Even after updating it fails to give a forecast. Just a notice saying “network error”. Too bad.. I used the app frequently for about two years. Now it’s useless

Stopped Workong. I’ve had this app for some time now. And on my iPhone iOS 18.7.2 it stopped working a few weeks back. The main page keeps reloading, no matter where I’m at in the app. It’s essentially useless now. And I can’t find any way to contact the developer for support.. I will really miss this app, and will be hard pressed to find a replacement. But I don’t seem to have any other option as this point.

Lockdown mode. iPhone with lockdown mode seems to not be supported. App fails to get past location permissions page.
- ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions
Too hard to look at. I would pay for this except it is so horrible looking and hard to read. Not very visually accessible and it’s too dark with too much of cryptic icons and language. Make this more accessible. Why does it look and read so awful?

No data in my state. No data available in Hawaii.

Deleted. Resilient displays of advertisements. Prevented the ability to view/assess app through pop-up full-screen ads. Cannot expect users to blindly enable a paid subscription, under those circumstances. Otherwise, cloud forecasts can be found online WITHOUT being charged. App deleted.

Zero prediction reliability - don’t waste time. Been trying to use this for years but it has a perfect zero reliability in Predicting cloud cover in the northeast. If I could give it a zero I would. I’ve put in Reports of the issue but what does the app developer do, nothing but think you should now pay for the worst forecasting imaginable!! Do t waste your time or money.
- ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions
This is a subscription app, not a purchase app. I don’t like paying subscriptions. I’ll only make a onetime purchase. It’s just not worth a subscription for occasional use. Deleting app.
- ★★★★★inaccurate results and incorrect data
Not Accurate for Forecasts or Current Conditions. I like the user interface of this app, and of course it provides a lot of information that could be useful to astronomers. But I’m surprised that it gets such good ratings from astronomers. On most occasions, the forecast has simply been wrong. It seems to also be wrong in real time — for example, it’ll be 100% cloudy outside but this app will show a blue box and report 0% cloud cover at that time. My GPS location is correct, but it just keeps reporting conditions that are not correct. As a result, I don’t find it useful for predicting stargazing conditions. The app itself is laid out nicely though, so if they could improve their weather source I think this would actually be a great app.

Great UI, Unfortunately App is Usually Wrong. Clear Outside is much more accurate.

Temperatures wildly & consistantly inacurate. I’ve used Astrospheric for years and love nearly everything about it — it’s an incredible tool for planning astrophotography. However, the temperature data for Arizona is consistently 8–12°F too low, making dew and temperature planning unreliable. Other apps are accurate within 1°F. Please fix or improve the temperature source — this app would be perfect, and I’d subscribe instantly if it were accurate.
- ★★★★★subscription and paid restrictions
Isn’t accurate unless you buy a subscription. Forecasts have a high degree of inaccuracy on the free plan. I’ve had nights where it said conditions were bad and it was going to be cloudy when they ended up being perfect, and vice versa. Cloud forecast has been wrong several times. The app tells you to buy a subscription to have access to accurate forecasts.

Good big picture app, but don’t like some things about it.. This is a pretty good app that gives you the big picture for planning astronomical viewing, however I do not like one aspect of it. The app opens with a location that is automatically selected near your current location, but it is off enough that you need to change it to your location by using a map or the forecasts might not be accurate. It does not remember your location when you start the app again and you must again manually select the correct location from a map. It then will tell you that you can save the location, but only if you provide them with your email address which is their way of compelling one to do that and enable the “favorites” to be available. I think that we should not have to provide our email address to set the home location and sort of sounds like blackmail to me.

Why?. The app is a slower and harder to read version of the venerable Clear Sky Clock. The map showing cloudiness or another quantity should be able to animate without having to be manually "stepped" back and forth. I can do that on the actual Clear Sky Clock. I thought this app would really be better somehow. It is a solution in search of a problem. Sorry.
- ★★★★★inaccurate results and incorrect data
Just not accurate. Love the interface but the forecast for me is not accurate. Shows no clouds (dark blue) when there is 109% cloud cover. East of England.

Wrong prédiction. Induit souvent en erreur

I really wanted to love this app, but.... Extremely well-put together and very visually-pleasing. Seems to have everything an astrophotographer could want. There’s only one problem: the forecast for my area has been consistently inaccurate for the last few weeks. Worse yet, it’s been inaccurate in that every time it has promised clear skies, none have appeared. I suppose I could give it credit for always getting its forecast for clouds correct though. It seems to me that the problem lies in the forecast mode upon which the app relies (CMC-RDPS). It’s just not accurate for Southern Ontario winters, which is very prone to “lake effect” clouds. Could it be that the people responsible for this model didn’t account for lake effect? From what I’ve experienced over the past few months, the model that has consistently predicted the weather here (or, more particularly, cloud cover) has been the NAM model. That’s a shame because it predicts a lot more clouds than do the others - but that seems preferable to getting one’s hopes up for nothing time and again. It takes me an hour to set up and an hour to disassemble my kit. Then there’s the time wasted checking repeatedly to see whether the promised clearing has occurred. All tolled, I’ve wasted about fifteen hours over the last few weeks, hoping that Astrospheric’s far more favourable forecast was true - but it never was. I wonder if the developer could incorporate NAM model data into the app?

Very useful, but getting ads. I really like the usefulness of this app. I don’t waste time putting up equipment and can plan my astrophotography sessions with a good deal of confidence. My only complaint is I have a pro subscription but continue to see ads. What’s up with that? Would have given 5 stars otherwise.

Maybe more detailed?. Love the app but would be nice to see the components that go into the seeing rating.. and also might add at least jet stream speed.

Works very well. A bit of a learning to get familiar w operations

Update! Won’t load iPhone 12 mini. Edit: Screen time is on. We allowed browser website although apparently it’s desktop only and the app still shows a black screen with loading ball apart from site information screen.

Love it, just one thing. Hopefully the developer will read this. I love this app, but I just have one thing I don’t like. It doesn’t have widgets. iOS 14 widgets. Pleaseeeee make widgets I love the app I just wish I didn’t have to open the app every time for information. I know it seems petty and lazy but I love iOS widgets. Thanks in advance.

Like it. Very useful.

Great way to check weather for astronomy. It’s really valuable to know what the clouds are likely to do for planning star gazing or imaging. Several apps provide info on this but astropheric has far and away the best user interface. You can easily figure out exactly what the conditions should be on simple screen. Moon light, various levels of clouds, seeing, transparency, sunrise/sunset. Sometimes it misses a forecast but in general it’s a great planning tool

Phtographer essential. This app is essential for photographer. The cloud coverage and transparency, wind direction ,sunset and sunrise. Do you need anything else?
- ★★★★★overall positive experience· unspecific
Accuracy. I love it! Every now and then it is not accurate. Thank you!

Astronomer Tool No Brainer. As an astronomer/astrophotographer this is a must have tool for up to the minute Information through many filters and layers. Seeing conditions are usually spot on. Frequent updates and improvements seamless. Well done.

Take ISS out. There are 1000 apps that track the ISS. It shouldn’t be in this app. Most of the people that use this app are astrophotographers. We only care about the weather, the moon, and the sun. Other than that it is a good app

Been waiting for an app like this.... For a long time! Finally it's here!
