   I need help I’m having issues with my number. This issue needs to be fixed ASAP.. It’s not working. I’m on the latest version of the app. I was wondering if this an error. I had my number for half a year. And it just stopped working. Text messages are failing to send . Please fix this immediately.

   Not even functional. I have a recent iphone. I go to settings and tap "get a google voice number" and nothing happens. Pressed it dozens of times. Reinstalled and tried again... nothing.

   Don’t bother. They use AI algorithms to scan for abuse - but, it means they’ll nuke your access with no explanation. Absolutely abysmal experience.

   You defeated the point of this app.. I used this app for anonymous communication with people I do NOT want knowing my real phone number. I also don’t want them going to Google with this number to ever try and find out who I am. Identity verification literally defeats the point of having a “burner” phone number.

    Do NOT use. Shortly after I got my Google number I started to receive a high volume of spam calls. At one point I got over 40 calls in one day! I answered one and it was the social security office. 😬. Sure, if their offices moved to Asia. In one week I had over 150 spam calls. Use this at your own risk! My response from the developer was to update to IOS 14 without asking me what I have. I have IOS 17 Shows how lousy their support is

    I’m not sure what is going on with GV, but…. The app used to work seamlessly, but now I’m missing a text that I’ve had for a few years that I need as it is to a properly manager of a problematic property nearby.

    New update is bad. Previews for app are misleading now, recent update makes you click to another page to see call time and then click through another 2 spots to send a message, save contact, view people etc. those options all used to be available freely from the main call list and just transition quickly. Now trying to view one call takes me to a new page that is 80% empty just showing me how long the call was and requiring me to click again to open a menu and again to pick a menu option. Makes no sense why they would make such a bad change.

    Where is RCS?. I think it’s diabolical that Google begged and cried for their implementation of RCS to be accepted and implemented by carriers and Apple, but are ignoring Google Voice users who have been begging and crying for RCS to be added to Google Voice, since the moment RCS was added to Google Messages. How hypocritical. 😒 Google should’ve been working on a solution to add RCS to all its messaging platforms/services FIRST, before spending resources on ad campaigns to guilt trip Apple into implementing the messaging standard.

    Slow slow slow. No matter the device it’s an apple vs google thing. EVERYONE I’ve met and uses android has 0 issues. Google doesn’t want it to work. It’s on purpose. Listen, I’m not ignorant on app development and business guidelines and interests so it’s clear that Google is slowing down the service on iOS to move hardcore Google Voice users to move to an android devices. As stated in several blog posts it works well at first and then slows dramatically. Some say it’s services Apple itself has limited in the background of iOS so this leads the developer (Google) why says their hands are tied however we all know they are running a business and having only an app, that’s free, and having to pay a dev team isn’t quite lucrative. BTW- browser version works just fine ;-) Not hating the game just the players. Be well and walk wise.

    New update illegible. The new app update makes the text message illegible to the point that it’s very hard to tell if a message is from sender or receiver. Highly annoying.

    Voice doesn't ALLOW CALLS AFTER UPDATE REQUEST ACCESS TO MICROPHONE since 9 AM 6-12-26. Voice doesn't ALLOW CALLS AFTER UPDATE REQUEST ACCESS TO MICROPHONE (since 1 Hour Ago update on 6-12-26) and it worked normally for years. Hyperlink to Apple Settings doesn't have Microphone Access listed anywhere on that specific Settings menu for Google Voice. PREVIOUS REPORTED HUGE SOFTWARE BUG: Google Contacts NOTES FIELD is not coming up on Apple and it should be allowed to View and Edit All Fields of Google Contacts from within Gmail, Voice, etc. as in the past. Please FIX ASAP, AS IT'S IMPORTANT FOR people who use Google on their Apple devices they must use for whatever reason. After SEARCH FOR KEYWORDS, and finding Text Message, suddenly I discovered a HUGE SOFTWARE BUG. PLEASE ENABLE FORWARD AND RESEND FUNCTIONALITY once a particular Text Message is retrieved, similar to how it works on Gmail. Remaining ISSUES / BUGS: Google Voice Texts can't be forwarded after Search and Google Contacts are not Visible for EDITING & SAVING ALL FIELDS, INCLUDING NOTES FIELD on Apple iPad DEC 17, 2025 Previous Feedback, some of which was resolved. Impossible to edit long Texts on iPad and basically even Selection Tool and Copy and Paste Tools are cumbersome to use and nearly impossible. Text typing pane is so tiny, it's always covered nearly entirely by Gboard. After Submitting Feedback or using Help, it's impossible to close that section by clicking exit button (doesn't show on Apple iPad), and no blackout Buttons exist, and even closing and reopening Google Voice doesn't always clear Screen Search for Help Session and return to Trying to compose Text Pane. For that reason I start composition of anything on Gmail and then only copy and paste it in the Text Pane to send Text. Google Voice Texts pane keeps Jumping and Google Contacts are not Visible on Apple iPad New Issues since Apple iOS 15.1 Update which Ruined many things on Google Applications including Google Voice (If fixed, I would have loved to Rate Google Voice at 5 Stars) 1) on Apple iPad Pro iOS Google Voice keeps Jumping to the New BLANK Text Compose Field without any consideration that a User is Reading and Interested in Old Text they spent time to Scroll Up. I keep scrolling up to read an old text chain and address one by one 15 out of 30 Texts as we were discussing them with a friend who asked me to email me a recap. I was multitasking without an issue in the past and Google Voice Old Texts allowed me a day to view or copy old texts one by one to copy them into an email or Task Tracking App Google Keep. This Viewing Pane BUG keep force Refreshing the View Pane to the Blank Compose new Text Space, rather than allowing to view old texts as you would do in a lengthy email by scrolling down little by little. 2) In the Past Several Texts could have been Selected and Copied into a Note, or an Email or whatever. Now Sadly Google Voice OMITTED COPY Command. So now Numerous Texts when you talk to a friend it's Impossible to copy them into a Gmail. 3) Even Sadder Issue, Google Voice is not an Option to be selected from within Google Spaces or Collaboration Tools within Gmail (aka Google CHAT). Where is Google Voice which Alledgedly Replaced Google Hangouts in CHAT??? Nowhere to be Found! Please Re-enable Ability to View Google Voice as one of the Folders in the Gmail app to be able to easily Continue Existing Google Voice Conversation from Google Voice into Gmail Conversation threads. Just like we used to have Hangouts and just like Years ago on PCs (when people had PCs and not Mobile Devices) So in the Past I was able to See Google Voice just as one of the Channels along with Hangouts and other Things all via Google Gmail. Now, I can see Google Voice within Google Gmail and it does not allow to just Continue via Email when the Texts Chain are becoming too Long to handle... Outstanding Issue for the past 2 Years: Google Contacts (not available on Apple) and Not Integrated like before from within each of Google Apps. Please either Activate Google Contacts App on Apple (so people can call their friends using PC, Android and Apples)... Google Contacts for each of my Gmail Accounts are not visible on iPAD Voice as it's only integrated with Apple iPad or Apple Phone Contacts, but not with Google Contacts in addition to Apple Contacts... Very good, you want to text your Friend from Apple, carry your PC around with you or Android... Or remember your Friends and Colleagues you have at Work and entered in Google Gmail Account? They won't be available on Apple... But Google Voice somehow is making Apple Contacts available to the Google App, and Making own Google Contacts unavailable to it's own Google Voice? In the Past, I was able to see my Google Contacts from all of my Google Apps, in fact did not have a single issue for over 10 years (until I started to use Apples in the family shared devices)

    Group chats don’t work. I am living abroad for the next 2 years and ported my number over to google so I wouldn’t have to remain with my old carrier while I use a different phone #. However now I cannot receive or send group messages with my contacts back in the US. 1 on 1 chats works just fine but with more than one contact nothing registers on either end even though it says sent. I’m not even trying to forward messages to another number… Plz fix

    Frustrations are the zero benefit. Won’t let me delete my old voice number. Help section gives instructions to click on options that simply don’t exist within the app. Maybe if I was on android it’d be correct. I was looking at the iOS help section so yeah save your data on downloading this worthless app
