   Does not support Google Drive. The documentation was unclear, and I wanted to save the next person some time: as of now this app is incompatible with files stored in Google Drive. I have Google Drive linked with my local (iOS) file system, and 1Writer even recognizes that directory exists, but it will not access Google Drive. If this behavior changes, I’m sure this app would be perfect for my needs!

   Won’t stay synced to Dropbox. The app worked great for me on iPad and my previous iPhone X. Installed on new iPhone 12 and it syncs to Dropbox great at first but within a day it loses the folder and reverts to /Documents locally and I can’t navigate back to Dropbox folders. Have to uninstall and reinstall but the problem keeps recurring.

   Buggy, bad UX, and no support. Don’t expect to get an answer from support. My iCloud folder is gone and can’t add it back. OneDrive doesn’t work. Lots of bugs and no answer to support tickets. Don’t waste your money.

   Warning: doesn’t work with OneDrive or Google Drive. I bought this because I expected it to work with OneDrive and Google Drive through connection to the iOS Files app. Most other apps can connect to any cloud storage supported by Files, and many people online were claiming that 1Writer would also support OneDrive and Google Drive. I guess nobody actually tested it out, because when you add those as locations to Files and try to select them, they are grayed out in the 1Writer app. Nowhere on the app description, website, or help did I see that this app does NOT support other cloud storage. Unfortunately this is not something you can find out until after you pay for the app, and you can’t get a refund. I contacted the developer for support and have yet to hear back after a few days.

    No longer opens. Loved this app. Still use it on the iPhone. Now the app crashes every time I open it on a few year old iPad. Updates have not fixed the problem.

    My writing keeps disappearing. I love the app - until the things I write keep disappearing. I write something. Save it. Make sure it’s still there. And then a few weeks later it’s gone.

    v2.8 deleted all my files. At least they're on Dropbox. On the other hand, it doesn't automatically download them. I have to click on each one to force a download, and I have thousands of notes.

    Rated for 17+. I wanted to download this on my child's iPad but it was blocked due to a 17+ age rating. Had to install a competitors product.

    Doesn't sync to Dropbox. I bought this just to edit text files on Dropbox. I want to edit in place to keep sharing links accurate. However there doesn't seem to be any way to just edit in place. My edits aren't synced back. Bought Byword which works perfect. Disappointed I can't get my money back now.

    Broken update -- Json errors. I was really loving this app until this new update. I get a JSON error with everything I do, so nothing's works. :-( Hope they fix it soon!

    Cloud Sync Does Not Work. The main reason I went for 1Writer over another app was for Dropbox / iCloud Sync. Neither works as described. When you go to add Dropbox as a location to sync, it just opens the Dropbox app ... nothing else. Same happens with iCloud. I suppose this could be user error (me), or it could be my device (brand new iPad Pro 9.7 on 10.1.1). Couldn't find instructions to check if I am doing something wrong, though the interface seems pretty straight-forward. It just doesn't work as advertised.

    Deleted my entire Dropbox. I wanted to add a fodler for 1Writer in my Dropbox. I mistakenly put it in the wrong place, and when I deleted it, 1Writer deleted every file in my Dropbox except the new 1Writer folder that was now in the correct place. I've used so many apps that have connected to my Dropbox, not sure how these idiots couldn't have not had safeguards in place to prevent this.

    Incorrect markdown rendering. If your markdown doc has a list with 3 levels of indentation, the third level is rendered the same as the second level. This is very confusing for markdown docs which are large deeply nested outlines.

    Crash all the time. When I firstly using it, everything is OK. However, now it cannot work at all. I hope the developer can update it and fix the crashing problem as soon as possible.

    Italics and Bold. Gotta put a star before and after each section of text. If you add more text to a section of a document then all the text directly around it loses it's formatting

    No wonder it's 99 cents. It doesn't sync consistently w/Dropbox and not at all with iCloud. Another app hyped through false reviews. ia Writer is the real deal, this is bogus.

    doesn't sync. Hangs entering my Evernote Login on my iPad and gives me an arrow trying to enter login for iCloud.

    Buggy. The editor generally works great. But the current version when interfacing with Dropbox keeps crashing especially when switching files or directories. Very disappointing. Pretty much unusable on my phone.

    Live edit missing. Great app with ton of features but I don’t know how or why developer missed live editor like many other apps. It’s a must have on phone. No one wants to toggle anymore.

    Pictures Don’t Upload. I unfortunately can’t upload any pictures to my notes, and I believe being able to is crucial. Please fix this problem.

    Nice but No Reliable Sync. The interface is lovely, but I wanted only a reliable means to edit and sync DropBox plain text notes. This app fails miserably in doing that: unreliable sync, creates duplicates, deletes files randomly. This issue has been reported for years. Developer apparently doesn’t care though. Enjoy at your own risk.
