  1. ★★★★a needed feature is missing

Not a vet service. They only can tell you if your pet needs a vet. If you can’t find a local vet that will help your pet you are out of luck. I would rather give 0 stars.

  2. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

I hate being misled!. Nobody likes to be lied to, and PAWP was offered as a “PERK” for T-mobile Tuesdays. Every perk I’ve ever saved Simply saves it to “my stuff” until I can either review it further or use it. Sometimes there are short time periods to make a decision, but if you don’t save it when it’s released on Tuesdays it will go away… So I always save ANYTHING I am remotely interested in. They often expire, unused, but that’s OK and I MUCH prefer that to what PAWP did…. • I SAVED THE OFFER IN “MY STUFF“ • A COUPLE DAYS LATER I LOOKED FURTHER <mult plans offered for monthly set price… • I DID NOT ENROLL IN ANY BY THE EXPIRATION DATE FOR THE OFFER! I did update the app as I got it a couple of yrs ago, but it was out of my price range at the time. I have been charged $19+ for two months, but didn’t notice and there is no phone number for them for customer service. I wrote and requested info and I’m curious I want a freaking refund you shady misleading, no Support jerks!

  3. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Bull*#^%. Just trying to sell products. The “assessment” is just a bunch of products being pushed to make your pet “better” and it’s completely user driven. No one looks at your pet. You might get to talk to a vet helper, it surely isn’t a vet or else they’d be able to write rx’s. If a real doc can write rx for glp1 etc through an app there’s no reason a vet can’t.

  4. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

    Do Not Use Pawp. Scammy

  5. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

They will deny your claims. I had an extremely disappointing experience with Pawp during one of the worst moments a pet owner can go through. I have been a customer for over three years, and my dog suffered a sudden collapse recently. After speaking with a veterinarian, euthanasia was determined to be the most humane option. I followed Pawp’s stated protocol exactly, step by step, and submitted all required documentation expecting the coverage they advertise. Despite doing everything correctly and clearly meeting their own process requirements, my claim was still denied. What makes this so upsetting is not just the denial itself, but the timing and nature of the situation. When a pet is in crisis and euthanasia is involved, you expect some level of urgency and support. Instead, I felt like I was navigating bureaucracy while trying to make an impossible decision for my dog’s comfort and dignity. At minimum, if their policy excludes situations like this, that should be made far clearer upfront—because in practice, the messaging suggests coverage that simply isn’t honored when it matters most. I cannot recommend Pawp based on this experience. After three years as a customer, this is how I was treated in an emergency, and it completely changed my trust in the service.

  6. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Useless. Only good for spam. When you call instead of helping at all they tell you to take your animal to the vet.

  7. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Wasn’t what I expected. Tech helpful, but service not what I was hoping for

  8. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

I can’t even get past the first screen when creating an account. The “continue” button doesn’t work so I can’t proceed. And the support ticket I opened disappeared so I can’t get help. I’m sure it’s a good program, but if I can’t use the app, I’m sorry but it can’t get any stars

  9. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Deceptive. You cannot get any prescriptions for your dog depending on the state and they don’t tell you that until after purchasing a $99 subscription

  10. ★★★★support does not respond or resolve the issue

Walmart+ Customer. Horrible Support from Pawp. I’ve had a very frustrating experience with Pawp. I have Walmart+ and have spent the last two weeks trying to link my accounts to access the pet benefit, with no success. Customer support has been extremely disappointing. Most responses feel like automated AI replies that don’t actually address my questions, and when I did connect with real representatives, they eventually stopped responding altogether. There’s also no phone number available, which makes it impossible to escalate or resolve anything quickly. On top of that, the app itself is not user-friendly or intuitive. The process to redeem or link benefits is unclear and leads you in circles without real guidance. What’s even more concerning is that the poor experience is ongoing. I continue to reach out for help and still receive no response. At this point, it feels like there’s no real support behind the service. Overall, this has been a horrible experience. If Pawp can’t reliably handle basic customer inquiries, it’s hard to trust them to respond when it truly matters like in an urgent situation involving my pet. Would not recommend based on my experience.

  11. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Cluttered web pages. Web pages are cluttered with fluff. It is very difficult to locate the icon to submit a claim. And, only give you a few days to submit a claim. The details are hidden in the MANY pages of the contract. Recommend using another Pet Insurance.

  12. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Horrible first experience - Pet Owner’s beware. Waited 30 minutes for an urgent appointment. The “LVT” asked questions I had already answered in my messages and asked questions that gave the impression that they were not reading or looking at the photos sent. I got more intel from ChatGPT than this service. Save your money and your time.

  13. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Cancellation headache. I tried canceling back in October? November. They kept taking money from my account anyway, after being reported to the bank. They only cover $3000 in Emergancy services and only 1 animal per year after You come out Your Own Pocket first. Not worth it. Not imo.

  14. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Dangerous company if you love your pets! Total joke!. Tried using this since it's free for Walmart+ members. What a joke! The chat is only vet assistants and they know nothing. This is a game to them. Find a better vet solution. Please, don't waste your time; they won't help at all. This company is a complete farce! Thank you.

  15. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Turn in claim months ago. I turned in my claim 2 months ago. It says someone will reach out within 5-7 days. I have reached out multiple times and hear nothing back. 0/10!!! Update: denied my claim stating it was not an emergency even though the vet wrote a note it was an emergency and he would’ve died without it. (My dog could not urinate due to having a stone stuck.)

  16. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

False advertising / scam. Don’t waste your time… this company has a pretty app but they don’t offer the services they list on their website. They just have you jump through a bunch of hoops, enroll you in a subscription, and then tell you they’re “actively working” on offering their services in the future so you should “check back.” I am not sure how it is even legal to start charging people for a service that you’re not offering yet…

  17. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Scam. I canceled and keep getting billed. My membership status says,”canceled” but is not canceled. The support button does not work and I cannot remove my debit card. SCAM

  18. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Walmart plus scam. Not really a vet. Just a scam that tries so sell you more junk from Walmart for pets. Not actually pet help or advice, they just want to know what pets you own so they can recommend stuff to buy. I wouldn't recommend. Not even good pet products. Just want you to sign up for things that cost more money.

  19. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Pointless. Pointless and makes it hard to cancel and chat difficult to talk to a person. Don’t get or subscribe.

  20. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

terrible service. I get this service for free, and that's more than what it's worth. This appears to be primarily a way to data mine about your pets and sell you products. The "vet" chat is vet techs using chat bots. They can't give actual medical advice or talk about meds. All they can do is tell you to go to a vet in person. The advice is usually nonsensical, often out of touch, and frequently rude. You go in asking for help and leave more confused, having wasted the wait time. Stay far away. UPDATE: You'll notice in their response the developer used the same sleight of hand: "our veterinary team." There are no veterinarians. I do not find the techs/chatbots (NOT VETS) compassionate or helpful. There is no state regulation against having vets. That is nonsense.

  21. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Don’t bother. I downloaded this through my Walmart plus account. They don’t answer emails and do not pay claims. My dog had a seizure on 1/9 and I filed the claim the next day. They said 5-7 business days. Nothing. When I left a review in Trustpilot they advised I send an email with the subject expedite. Still nothing. Just a scam.

  22. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

The app is great- if you don’t NEED to USE the protection plan part. I’ve been a subscriber for almost a year now and it’s great for checking up on things and general info. Quickly upgraded to add the protection plan. December 20th when one of our 6 covered pets sustained a laceration, we rushed her to the er after hour vet. Along the way, I reached out to an on call er doc through the app. Even though she kept directing me to additional services, I finally asked “I just wanted to follow procedure for the protection plan and wasn’t sure if I needed you to say “go to the er” (btw, you DO. To get reimbursed on your claim, that is a vital step). I’m glad I did ask that before I logged off, and they sent the email saying “what to do now you’re going to the er”. Anyway, the claim was submitted 12/27. (You will need your pets medical records! Ask for that!) it is now over a month later and after sending multiple emails, I’m still waiting. My last follow up email sent to Pawp support, my claim manager AND the claims adjuster was yesterday. I’ll update this once I get a designation either way. I’ve scoured the internet and so far haven’t found anyone, not ONE who was reimbursed. So if you’re like me and feel like a monthly charge is worth it to have a once-a-years-term safety net… maybe save your money. Pawp is great if you need a reminder to brush your dogs teeth. It’s great if you want a quick answer outside of the internet to “my cat just ate a grape is she ok”. But so far, the protection plan seems to be a complete waste of money with very little communication or helpful information on timelines. Because it CERTAINLY isn’t “5-7 business days”. And we’d only submitted $1,600, not even the full $3,000 advertised to reimburse for SINGULAR emergency visits. My pup got stitches and is happy and healthy btw.

  23. ★★★★trial charges and refunds

POS — “benefit” of Walmart+ subscription. THIS APP IS A HOAX!! If you signed up for a trial, as a Walmart Plus subscriber, DO NOT fall for this SCAM! I canceled 2 days before I was meant to be charged — But 2 days later, they charged me $100 anyway! I had to jump through a dozen hoops to try getting refunded; and thus far, I haven’t been successful! THIS APP IS A POS!! There is NO OPTION for a phone number, for me to cancel, nor even to chat with an agent!!

  24. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Untrustable. Do not trust these guys or pay them anything as you will get the runaround when trying to get a reimbursement. You have to produce all of your pets medical records and get everything submitted within 14 days which they don’t tell you in advance. The app is deliberately designed so that people have a hard time filling out claims. Most of the interface requires you to check on your pet and do random tests at times to be in compliance. Do not trust these guys.

  25. ★★★★a needed feature is missing

First appointment was a week. My dog has a UTI and just needs a prescription. I understand there are tests and things needed to be done to guarantee that but all symptoms show it and it’s a better attempt than nothing. They won’t do prescriptions and unable to try things without an appointment (a week out) my dog is leaking urine, this is pretty dire. Dumb service

  26. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Membership but still no coverage. I used to like Pawp, I thought that being able to have the vet right on your phone was nice.. but when it came to my dog having an emergency vet visit, the app wouldn’t allow me to submit my claim even though I am a member and they are supposed to pay up to $3,000 in emergency vet bills. I talked to customer service so many times about the app not letting me file my claim, and the conversation kept deleting and I kept getting the same repetitive answer back- to “log out and then log back in.” They were not helpful at all and just had me stressed for the past couple of months. I never ended up getting covered for the visit. If I could give 0 stars I would.

  27. ★★★★a needed feature is missing

No one can seem to help. Every time I go on there to help I met with “go to your vet”. What even is the point of this app? If every time I need help or medication I have to go see my vet in person. There’s no point in spending this much money when I should have help and access.

  28. ★★★★subscription and paid restrictions

Seems like a money grab. I scheduled and paid for a vet visit and sat in the waiting room and no one ever came. It just said that the Vet would be with us shortly and I sat there after my money was already taken and then it was ended so I’m out $35 and no answers for my pet as well. Seems like a quick money grab with empty promises.

  29. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Don’t waste your money. This company does not provide promised service. They provide email asking for you to be patient, no reimbursement for emergency services.

  30. ★★★★negative experience without a specific reason· unspecific

Rip off. Cancelled last month. Still being charged. Had to reenter pets to try to cancel again
