   Seller protection NEEDED!!!. Mercari is a platform that truly lacks transparency and fairness when it comes to returns. They consistently side with the buyer, disregarding any evidence presented by the seller. This lack of impartiality is concerning, especially considering the daily occurrence of mail fraud perpetrated by scammers on the platform. Despite these issues, Mercari remains indifferent to taking action. As a seasoned seller with over 15 years of experience on Mercari, I have made the difficult decision to cease all business transactions with them until they address this recurring problem. Furthermore, I will be reporting Mercari to the Better Business Bureau and seeking legal counsel for such matters. The numerous flaws in this app are unacceptable, and I hope that these actions will prompt Mercari to rectify this issue.

   Don’t waste ur money and ur time the worst app ever. I got scammed, and customer service told me I didn't have evidence; after that, they didn't even reply. Don't waste your time and money on this app—it's terrible, and there are better ones out there I’ll give 0 star

   Not what it used to be. It was a great place for both buyers & sellers but these fees the last year have been almost ebay level crazy but without ebay’s exposure. their customer support service feels like it’s mostly people who don’t know what they’re doing. only upside is buying things straight from Japan. i wish they went back to how they were before they got greedy.

   Sellers get screwed. I’ve been selling with Mercari for the last six years. It started off great it was exactly what I needed to make cash. As of the past eight months, I took off all of my items that I was selling and left it blank. I was burned too many times by Mercari! In instead of protecting the sellers and the buyers, they only protect the buyers….. I will never ever recommend this company to anybody. I’ve been burned more than you can even imagine in the last six months by this company. If I can write them anything it would be zero.

   HORRID customer service. Once again, not really sure if this operation is run by clowns or what’s happening, but this is absolutely crazy that 2 1/2 months later I’m still dealing with the same issue and I simply cannot list my item without having a problem I mean, if you can’t provide a platform that doesn’t cause issues for your sellers to list on how do you expect to stay in business and keep customers no wonder why DPO is becoming so popular and now there’s ventage like if you’re reading this don’t use this app go use the other ones because they work so much better you’ll have so much more luck and you will actually get someone from customer service to help you and talk to you about things when there’s an issue unlike this app!! STAY FAR FAR AWAY. It’s not even close to worth the headache they cause you, disgraceful

    Horrid culture. The culture is almost as bad as Poshmark. I’ve sold a few things through this app, and buyers expect Etsy small shop level “thank you cards” packaging, and it’s an endless headache to open a case with the Help Center

    Shady sellers. They don’t care if you’ve been sold counterfeit items, just as long as their sellers get paid. Don’t count on a refund either because they can’t help worth anything. Save your money.

    Don’t trust them. Do not trust this platform with high-value items. I am dealing with an absolute nightmare regarding a luxury return. The carrier tracking explicitly confirms that my return package was successfully delivered back to the sender. Following the delivery, I received an official, system-generated email from Mercari stating that my item was marked as returned and that my full refund was processing back to my account. Unbelievably, after sending that official confirmation email, Mercari customer service representatives turned around in the direct messages and claimed the return was "unauthorized" and stated they would not release my money. They are currently allowing a situation where the merchant has the physical merchandise back in their hands, and Mercari is holding my money. This is deceptive, unlawful, and completely fraudulent behavior. I have already initiated a formal dispute with my banking institution and have filed official consumer fraud complaints with both the Better Business Bureau and the state Attorney General. If you value your money and expect honest customer protection, stay far away from Mercari. They will send you fake confirmations and try to pocket your funds anyway.

    Horrible for sellers. I have sold over 100 items and have NEVER had an issue. I sold a beautiful Michael Kors purse and the buyer claimed I sent a disgusting beat up Used purse. Mercari issued the refund and return - so I am out my beautiful purse and the money. I will never use their app again. Sellers beware - I wish I would’ve read more into this issue it is all over Reddit and it’s happening a lot. Mercari could care less for the sellers. I am now looking into filing a legal issue and possible police report - I am beyond pist off.

    No support when scammed. Buyer beware. A seller can cancel a sale, relist the item at a higher price and if sells before you get the notification of a cancelled sale, you cannot report the seller anywhere and the app can hold your money for up to 10 days leading to possible interest charges on a sale that was cancelled within an hour of purchasing and resold in 5 minutes of the new listing. You cannot even leave feedback for the seller. And no answer from Mercari when trying to call the phone number and no option to report because both sales are done.

    Don’t buy from Mercari. Don’t buy from Mercari. This merchant sells counterfeit Apple products and refuses to stand by sales. They refuse to refund the purchase price for advertised Apple AirPod Pro 3’s that in fact are counterfeit devices. Apple has verified these are not Apple products.

    Scummy company. Got scammed for a boosted skateboard on this app for $500. They advertise 24hr support but that’s a complete lie. They even tried to dispute my refund request on PayPal. After I provided PayPal with evidence, they banned my account out-rite they lost the case.

    Avoid. So the customer service is really awful. If a seller sends you something that isn’t what was listed, you have to send them 8-9 pictures of the product via email. Basically there are no buyer protections.

    this website scams sellers. never sell anything that you costs over $50, mercari will pocket that money and hardly pay you. Never sell your valuables because it will never be delivered; or if it does then you will hardly see that money... i'm so disappointed

    The absolute WORST buying/selling app. I have sold on this app for over 5 years. I have had consistent problems where items get damaged in shipment and Mercari constantly sides against the buyer. Please steer clear of this app and sell on other platforms where customer service is better
